Food tastes like it does in the Philippines. Whenever I have been there, the service has been fine, very friendly.

CRUSHEDIT!!! Spam sandwich. Hot dog… with cheese. Is it crack? Fries. I’m already pushing 1500 calories. It’s bulking season. Let’s order dessert. Peach mango pie. Wait. This is the crack. That damn cute bumble bee sure made me happy tonight!

I guess if you’re Filipino and there’s a Jollibee nearby, you should do what every(Native born) Filipino should and that is to eat at Jollibee(even just once!). I waited a long time to try this place since moving to VB. It was just meh, just like when I tried the ones in LA and Hawaii when I lived there. Yes, I do like the chicken joy with the MSG laden gravy but I don’t like paying more when I can get my fave(Popeye’s) for less. Nothing beats the real deal back in the motherland, especially the service. I’ll just wait for another PI trip for my next Jolly hotdog.

Food was mediocre at best. They didn’t have the burger I wanted. Drive-thru wait was long. Nothing really to attract me back so probably won’t ever go back.

Jollibee in America isn’t as good as in the Philippines and way more expensive. I came here recently after not having been probably since this location first opened. I was not impressed. The restaurant was quite empty for dinner – I’m not surprised about that given the cost for this fast food. The service left something to be desired. No smiles or even a «how are you?» Another worker came to help our cashier, and she never even looked at as us she was trying to help. I love Jollibee, but I do not like this location.

This is more a review of the service rather than the food. The food is what you’d expect if you ever ate at a Jollibees before. It should not take 10 – 20 minutes to get your food after you’ve ordered. This is FASTFOOD after all. The problem is that while everyone is working hard and running around like they’re busy, no one is completing orders and getting them to the customer. Trays are set up and some of the order is put down, but the server either gets back on a register or starts something completely different, when all they have to do is finish getting everything for that order they started. Happens every time I come here. Food is ready but no one bothers getting it on the tray to finish the order. It’s frustrating that you have to basically stay at the counter and hound them to finish.

This is the largest Jollibee I have been to so far. I was hesitant coming here at first b/c some of the reviews pinned this place as having very slow service. It really just depends on the time of year & time of day that you’re going. B/c Jollibee is a really famous attraction for many Filipinos during hotter seasons, many dedicated fans of Jollibee will flock & your experience will be long & tedious. Lucky for me I came during an off season: fall. There was no line. The place was very clean. Workers are super friendly. I got my food within minutes of ordering it. Burger steak is my favorite on the menu, & you can never go wrong w/getting a bucket of chicken! Dunk EVERYTHING in gravy(just kidding, I just love the gravy…) Their gravy is just so addicting to me. I shouldn’t forget about the Peach Mango Pie as well! They are best fresh, but since I don’t live close to VA beach I bought a bunch home & had some cold the next day; they are still freaking delicious! Give this iconic Filipino fast food chain a try, you won’t regret it!

I was really excited about knowing that I was going to eat at a Jollibee in the states. We started off eating the palabok and spaghetti. The palabok tasted so good, just like EVERYONE’s should taste!!! Don’t forget to add a splash of the lemon juice to it. The noodles were good, the sauce was awesome and the shrimp and pork were yummy, topped with chicharron. The spaghetti was just ok. I love the good amount of sauce and the cheese on it. My husband wanted this, but he was not impressed. The chickenjoy was tasty, but the skin was a bit too greasy. I think they should have let it sit another minute to drain the oil. The breading and skin were a little crispy when we received our order. I have to say that the Mango Peach pie with ice cream was so delightful. I wanted dessert and was skeptical, but to my surprise was fully satisfied.

I hesitate to review Fast-Food/Chain Store type restaurants. If you think about it, in theory, they should ALL be the same right? A corporate restaurant with a corporate menu and a corporate recipe for said menu. So as long as they are following the recipe for success that the corporation has set out for them, every one of them should be the same right? Unless, of course, the service is poor, or the MGR no longer cares, but they should all be the same. So what’s the point in reviewing one? Well… Jollibee is an anomaly, if you will. Most common Americans just«Do Not Get It.» If, however, you’re Filipino and actually hail from the Philippines, you«Get It.» Unlike any other burger joint! Unlike any Chicken joint! They blend all the«Americanized» Filipino food in one place. Filipinos love their spaghetti sweet! Though Jollibee doesn’t offer it this way, Filipinos even prefer sliced hot dogs in their spaghetti. So naturally, Jollibee offers the Filipino style spaghetti and fried chicken, of course. Pare that with a few burger selections and you have Filipino haven under one roof. To clarify, if you walk into a McDonalds in the Philippines, their menu will reflect these same preferences as well. Yes, spaghetti with a side of white rice is served at McDonald’s in the PI. Anyway, I digress, this location might be the ONLY Jollibee on the East Coast! We drove from Bethesda, MD just to eat at this Jollibee. That’s a smidge more than 200 miles folks! Just to eat at a Jollibee! No, I’m joking, we were vacationing in the area and this was just an added bonus! However, I have heard of some families who indeed made the journey with this being their main destination. In fact, as we were walking into the place for the first time, I noticed a mini van full of Filipinos pull up with Canada plates on it. Being the social guy I am, I had to engage them. I asked, «So, you drove all the way from Canada just for Jollibee?» That did get a chuckle, but like us, I believe they were vacationing in the area and simply took advantage of the rare opportunity to eat at a Jollibee. Nevertheless, it was busy and I envied the owner of this particular franchise! Nothing like dedicated clientele who will drive for hours on end just to get their hands, and taste buds, on a #2 combo with a side of rice!

Tried and failed. I really really wanted to love this place, I do! I heard so many good things about Jollibee and their food. It’s a popular spot for all the Filipinos. Since we were in town for Virginia Beach, my husband urged us to try this place. Upon our arrival, the establishment looked awesome. But dang! It was packed and the line was long. No problem, we will wait it out and wait for our food to come. Herein lies the issue: 1) long line at the drive thru — yet somehow the dine-in lines are twice, if not, triple long and the drive thru people got their order before us. What??? 2) after waiting in line for about 20 – 25 min, we got our order in by 1:30pm. Waited, waited. Thank goodness we ate breakfast beforehand. Waited for another 25 minutes. By then we had to promptly ask the manager if there was any issue? We got our food at 2:25pm. 3) the chicken? It’s good, but in my humble opinion, they taste just like Popeyes/Bojangles. 4) HaloHalo? There were so few ingredients on the bottom and lots of shaved ice. They scrimped on the ingredients *bummed* 5) literally 5 – 6 people working in the front and side, yet the wait was so long! I saw lots of boxes and food premade, waiting on the shelf. But. Why did it take so long for the food to come out? Poor management? Who knows? Oh how I was let down. I don’t have the heart to give this place a 1 star. There is this super nice guy named Buddy, who was kind to bring us a high chair for my little one. He was busy busing the table and keeping the establishment neat/clean. Cause of him, I gave 1 extra star. This place is hiring to find more people for help. Hopefully with more staff, comes with better service.

Sweet craving on a hot summer day? Look no further. Halo-halo will surely satisfy your sweet tooth. I was lucky to come by one afternoon with no one in line at the drive –thru so I was«in & out» in no time. My 4 star rating is based solely on the halo-halo. Maybe one day I’ll «expand my horizon» and try the other popular items. For now I’m content. Anyways, it really is a meal all on it’s own with the beans and everything else mixed in… very filling indeed!

Oh Jollibee, you remind me so much of the Motherland!(Philippines of course.) Can you imagine how excited I(and probably every Filipino in Hampton Roads) was when we heard they were opening a Jollibee here?! VERY. When this place first opened, it was a mad house for the first few weeks! Lines out the door, barely any place to sit! But you know what, based on the Filipino community alone, this place is definitely holding up pretty well. I usually always come with my parents and there are always people at the drive-thru and dining in. I know that tourists are always here too, especially since Jollibee is not everywhere. Staff is friendly. One time, my mom was disappointed though — she ordered a bunch of meals, asked for extra ketchup, and the girl gave her ONE packet. My mom said, «I need more please,» and the girl said, «But you only have one small order of fries.» OMG right. My mom said, «It doesn’t matter. I need it for my other food!» lol. Don’t make my mom angry! It could have been worse, but thankfully the girl gave her 4 – 5 more after that. Knowing my mom, she would have said, «Let me speak to your manager. It’s just ketchup!» The food– it’s good — just as I remember it tasting in the Philippines. When my friends who have never had Jollibee come here, I do warn them that spaghetti here is «Filipino style,» which means it has pieces of hotdog in it and the sauce is a bit sweeter. I totally enjoy it! I always get the meal with the Spaghetti that comes with one piece of chicken. Their fried chicken is very crispy, but they only do dark meat here — no breast or wings — only thighs and drumsticks, I’ve always found that weird. Their desserts are good — they have a banana/jackfruit pie & mango peach pie(it’s like the old Mcdonald’s pie crust, bubbly and flaky.) Their boba drinks are good, and their halo-halo is my favorite. Price-wise, I think certain meals are little steep. But I think it’s just the novelty of the place. I would continue to come here. Check it out if you want to try some Filipino spaghetti & palabok!

I can never go with filipino fast food. This particular location is pretty friendly and tends to get busy. I was disappointed that they didn’t have halo-halo. They could at least put a sign up. My friends and I ordered their fried chicken, spaghetti, palabok and it came with three peach mango pies. I personally do not like the pies. It’s a little too sweet and tarty for me. However, the palabok and spaghetti was on point. As for the chicken, I thought it was little over done and slightly saltier than my previous visits to the va beach area. As for service… slow for the take-outs. Fast for diners. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Average, very average. The food was bland, the tables were dirty and the service mediocre. Worst was that it is expensive for what you get. I understand the business maxim of find a niche and fill it bit Jollibee has become comfortable. They pull on the heartstrings of their customers by promising a taste of something from home. When I came here last time they had just opened and we’re trying hard to build a customer base. Now that I’ve come back I wonder if I’d ever return. I ordered a C1, two pieces of spicy fried chicken and a side of buttered corn. The chicken was not spicy and the crust was far from crisp. They did however correctly open a can of corn heat it and add some bitter… I found a one clean table and ate with a friend. After about 20 minutes and a couple of people asking, someone came out to wipe down tables and sweep. I was impressed the first time and far from impressed the second time I came here. I’m just glad I don’t live close by to be tempted to return.

How much space do you have in your stomach and/or your car? You will need all of the space for everything that you will want to eat at Jollibee. Living in Northern Virginia, so close to DC, has so many advantages – but one of the most unbearable disadvantages is living so far away from a Jollibee. Virginia Beach, I hope you know how lucky you are. On the way home from a beach trip, we decided to stop here for lunch and pick up some goodies for the road. Best way to solve your distance issue with Jollibee? Bring some home with you. I can personally attest that Chickenjoy will totally still be delicious after being in your car for 2 hours and 45 mins. Your family and friends at home will thank you later… and in advance, because when they find out you’re going, your friend, your mom, and your Tita will want baon. For here or to-go, Chickenjoy is my go-to. I don’t really need the gravy that comes with it but I am always tempted to dip a few fries in it. The fries are most like McDonald’s fries than any other fast food chain. Another thing that Filipinos and Jollibee do right: dessert. The peach mango pie is one of the greatest fast food dessert inventions of all time. The halo halo has all of the right ingredients: sweet beans, shaved ice, ube jam, ube ice cream, and a tiny piece of leche flan. It’s not the best ever but impressive for a quick treat. It is no wonder why they are constantly churning out the pies and halo halo! The ube pearl cooler was pretty good too – though mine had too many pearls/boba. Okay so I am biased because I love my Filipino food. I would recommend it to someone who wants a new kind of fast food experience where the place is clean and you have a myriad of options so completely different from your BK, Sonic, and McD’s. I will definitely be back the next time I go to the beach!

I absolutely love Jolibee — because I was born and raised in the Philippines — but I would have to give it 4 stars. For me, eating Jolibee then was a luxury. Now, it is still a pretty much a luxury. I live 4 – 5 hours away from Jolibee so I only get to come here 2 – 3 times a year. So why 4 stars? So far, for every visit, I believe I have waited at least 30 minutes in line just to get to the cashier. After putting in an order I always have to wait another 15 or more min to get the food(the line and the wait after the order depends on the volume of customers). Since this is the only Jolibee around the DMV area every single Filipino come to this location — if you want to avoid heavy flow of customers, come during off-peak hours. For Filipinos who grew up with Jolibee — like me — we will always be loyal to Jolibee and we will wait for hours just to have a piece of chickenjoy. However, for American customers who are not familiar with the food, they would find it absolutely ridiculous to wait for more than 20 mins for what would be considered fast food. If you are new to Jolibee I would recommend N2 — it has spaghetti with one piece chickenjoy. You get to taste the spaghetti and try the ever so famous chickenjoy without major commitments. Also always get extra gravy if you get more than 2 chickenjoy. If you do not want chicken get the burger steak, but remember not to get the ultimate burger steak — the burger steak, NOTTHEULTIMATEONE, is the original one. All the cold desserts are good! Halo-halo is okay so I would go for the pearl coolers or the sundae. If you’re not feeling a cold dessert try the peach mango pie — absolutely delicious!

Stopped in here a few days ago, first time experience for me. Has to be one of the most unique fast food chains out there! I looked at the menu and the«Ultimate Burger Steak» was calling my name. Well, actually, the lady at the counter recommended it to me as soon as I came in. I think she was reading my mind that I had never been there before, and wanted to make that suggestion. She was on cue. That was the item indeed that my eyes were gravitating towards. Ultimate Burger Steak: — Beef patty, rice, french fries, gravy, mushrooms, and a poached egg, all thrown together as an entrée. Very interesting! I’m from the south and we can’t even come up with concoctions quite like that. I enjoyed eating it, but it sure did put me into that food coma afterwards. A very filling lunch. That is why it took me so long to finally write this review. I have been sleeping for 3 days… ;-) The restaurant is a very open, friendly, and clean design. Staff were also very friendly as well. 3.5 Stars, and I am coming back again in the future, as I still need to try that Fried Chicken.

Nom Nom nom I ordered the N2(chicken joy & spaghetti) and the halo halo. *The chicken joy was hot, crispy, tasty & juicy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who knew Filipinos can make fried chicken aka chicken joy. *The Spaghetti w/sliced hot dogs has a sweet tangy taste to it(reminds me of something my mom used to make) very good and flavorful. *The Halo Halo… Very interesting concoction… I’m not sure of how I feel about it. There seemed to be sweet beans at the bottom. .shaved ice in the middle topped with 3 small scoops of ice cream which tasted great BTW next time I will just ask for the ice cream. Overall Jollibee it’s a great fast food option when you’re tired of the typical burgers & fries and longing for a change however it is pricier than what you may be used to.

6 pieces of chicken with gravy, 1 palabok family size(could feed 4), 2 halo halo = $ 40 15 minute wait for entire meal which is a long wait for«fast food». I sat near the window and had my purse on the little ledge for the entire meal. When I pulled it off and set it on the table, there were ants and baby cockroaches on the bottom of my purse that scurried onto the table. It was at least 15 bugs. Ughh, my skin is still itchy thinking about it. I would have taken pics to post but I was horrified with PTSD and in shock!!! I’m still in shock that happened. I looked closer at the window ledge and there were random fried chicken crumbs that all the tables must brush off. They land on the ledge, so the bugs are there for the crumbs. These aren’t windows that open, they’re just for natural light in the restaurant, so there’s no excuse for bugs if they’d clean, brush off, and vacuum the crumbs. I won’t be back. The prices and the wait alone were bad enough, but the gross factor is over the top. OMG, I want to rip off my skin. #PTSD
