Marco has done 90% of my tattoos. SERIOUSLY high quality. I would highly recommend. Pricey but you get what you pay for.

I actually went in here with a friend a couple of weeks ago who wanted a piercing. I figured I’d tag along and look at some of the artists’ portfolios as well as the wall artwork. Her piercing went by pretty fast but it still gave me ample time to get a feel for the place. They have some really talented artists there and I really enjoyed looking through the pictures of the past tattoo work they had done on clients. My friend also had a really good experience with her piercing and let me know that it was quick, painless and that she felt like the piercer really knew what she was doing. They have variety of piercing jewelry available for purchase as well as piercing and tattoo aftercare supplies. I think if and when I get to be in the market for a tattoo I’ll definitely hit up Ocean Mystique for a consultation.

I’m not sure why there are bad reviews here. My experience this past weekend, Saturday 4⁄24 in the evening was perfectly fine. I have been pierced before and tattooed before and so I am pretty picky about cleanliness and quality. I stopped in to the location located somewhere around 12 or 13th street. The place was empty and there weren’t any piercers around at this time. The lady who was working there was a hoot! I could have talked to her for hours. She was knowlegable and helpful when it came to my questions. We did the paper work and she called down to the location a few streets down and said I was coming. I paid with her there and got the sales price without asking for it like others have said here. $ 25 for a nose piercing including jewlery. Aftercare was extra and I bought the small H20 Oceans spray. We headed down to the other location and the staff took care of me right away. I picked out my stud, explained I’d like to wear a hoop later on down the road and the piercer knew what to so i can make that happen later. He was so quick I didn’t even know I was done, I thought it was the clamps on my nose. In and out in 5 minutes tops, no problems or hassles. It was very clean in there, the staff was friendly. The piercing is so good, as a matter of fact, it’s been 3 days and it looks and feels as if I’ve had this in my nose forever ie: no pain and its healing nicely

From the dismissive salesman who«conveniently«forgot» to ring us up for the sale price and refused to correct the mistake to the meat market piercing room that felt like something out of a horror movie, Ocean Mystique is a place to avoid at all costs. A small group of locals and I went to Ocean Mystique as part of a piercing party. We chose Ocean Mystique because of its proximity to other entertainment and its word-of-mouth reputation as an inexpensive, reasonably competent piercing parlor. When the event was scheduled, our event coordinator was assured that there was a sale going on for piercings. When we arrived, the sales clerk rang us up for full price, stating that«you have to tell ME you want the sale price or I ring you up for full price.» Appeals to reason had no effect; the salesman simply copped an attitude and walked off into the back room. Most of the group was refunded their money after a long hassle, though some of us had already been pierced and were thus out of luck. The piercer was competent, though his table-side manner left something to be desired. The piercing room itself was creepy and felt dirty, reminding me of a bad chop-shop horror movie or a stereotypical back alley abortion clinic operating room. There are MUCH better places to go to get holes poked in your body. Avoid this one at all costs. Bait and switch.

It is probably the most popular piercing studio at the oceanfront. It does get packed often during the summer by the tourists. It is kinda touristy place, but it has some decent jewelries for your holes in your body for good prices. I have to admit, the piercers do good jobs on the common piercings(such as large size piercings in the ears, labrets, belly, and etc.). They don’t do any kind of extreme jobs such as scalpelling, branding, or the like. I had my labrets done at this place twice and my labrets healed perfectly. All of my friends who got pierced at this place had no problem at all. The staffs at this studio are very friendly and very helpful, so it became one of the fewest piercing studios I’d ever recommend in the Hampton Roads.
