The $ 1 move in special is a lie. I figured there were extra fees that would be involved, but the whole process was ridiculous. When you call you are sent to a call center, and then they try to figure out which location you are calling for, even though you called a specific number for that location. The lady at the call center was extremely pleasant and I had zero issue with her. It was all down hill from there. I get to the storage unit and they show me exactly ONE unit to choose from and tell me that’s all that’s available for what I need… even though there were tons of various sizes without locks on them. Bread and butter of the review– You pay $ 1 rent. $ 22 «administration fee». a BAREMINIMUM of $ 9 for insurance, more if they talk you into anything higher. And it’s not optional. They said they are«Required» to give insurance to all lockers until you can prove that you have homeowners insurance that will accomodate a storage locker. So I figured my total would be $ 32. Nope. I handed the lady my card and as she’s swiping it she goes«Ok, so it’s going to be a total of $ 50.89». I said whoa hold on can I get an itemization of where that fee is coming from? And her response is «oh it will be on your ticket.» So I finally get the ticket, 5 minutes later, and tehre’s an $ 18.89 «merchandise charge» on there. I ask what that is and she said its for a lock. I didn’t ask for a lock. I had a lock INMYHAND that I planned on putting on the unit, but she underhandedly made a sale. On top of that, they are godawful expensive. Once the $ 9 insurance is factored in, they are quoting me $ 101 for the next months rent for a 5×16 room. That’s tiny. Thankfully, there is no requirement on how long to keep the room, so needless to say, my things will be housed in this location for 30 days. And not a second more. And I highly recommend you not even come close to this place. Rip. Off.
