Two times brought two different cars here for windshield replacement. The first time the windshield leaked so badly the interior was ruined. The second time they neglected to connect the satellite radio antenna. So after spending two hours having the windshield replaced on saturday, here I am sitting again for an hour so this error on their part can be corrected only to be told that I need to take it to the dealership because they have no idea what is wrong. Not a satisfied customer and have no intention of ever coming back

Needed to get my windshield replaced due to a crack, walking into the shop the technician was waiting for me at the desk, it took him an hour to change out my windshield, upon getting Ito my vehicle there was a strong chemical smell, I assumed it was the adhesive and it would soon fade away, well it’s been two weeks and my car still reeks of that strong chemical smell, it agitates my asthma and I end up coughing a lot while driving :(to make matters worse my windshield makes a tapping noise when I’m going over 60mph… I noticed on the outside the bottom rubber strip wasn’t fully aligned so maybe that could be it? I only went with safelite because they offer a lifetime warranty, because otherwise…

Broken driver’s door window fixed quickly, parts in stock, dealer would have taken a week and charged about $ 90 more. Asked about dime-sized star crack in windshield, told no problem and $ 60 repair. Half hour later tech comes out, tells me windshield has split during repair -«It just happens 2−5% of time». So instead of simple repair I now have to buy $ 300+ windshield. Safelite ate installation fee, still paid $ 225 in glass, parts, tax. I think Safelite should advise-warn in advance of risks, lack of responsibility if repair fails– I was told nothing of risk or policy if failure occurs.

Relief!
I scheduled an appointment on Sunday night for a next day pm service. I was contacted by Paul, a service technician early Monday morning for confirmation. A more reasonable meet place and time occurred to me. I then contacted Paul again to inquire about the possibility of a change in time and meet place. No problem! The new appointment location was confirmed, Paul showed up at the time agreed on, he explained his plan for the fix, told me he’d do so, lock my car doors afterwards and that I need not be present. I left and then returned to my car not 15 minutes later only to find Paul gone and my window repaired (and barely noticeable)! What a relief!!! Thank you Paul!
