The Creative Wedge: An Artisan Market

I’ve been writing so many «highly rated» reviews recently, but I can’t help that I’ve been to some amazing places lately!
The Creative Wedge is no exception! I had been reading the reviews on this place and have had it «bookmarked» for a while now. I finally was in the Hilltop area and thought, «I must go to this store, like now.»
OMG, I’m so glad that I did. I walked in and began snapping pics galore! Ahhhhhhh! All the bright colors on the walls and the products! It’s just so visually stunning! You look to the left and you see a bright, lime/​neon yellowish wall, look to the right & it’s bright pink. Look up & it’s a vibrant purple color. All these colors + all the goodies laid out and hanging around the store = a gift shopper’s heaven! Well, any shopper’s heaven really.
The items sold here totally vary — they have Artisan cheeses, beer, wines, fun cards for any occasion, stationery, wall décor, kitchen goods, mementos to give away or keep — like mini cloth, ceramic, wooden goods. The possibilities and choices seem endless here. My favorites would have to be the (state of) Virginia shaped pillows (I seriously do want one for myself even though I live here), and their — lotions and other toiletries by the line «Of the Earth.» I purchased a homemade «Sweet Orange» lip balm in a pot and it was so perfect. I will definitely try more out from this line. I also love the chandelier and the banners hanging from the ceiling. This place is just so fun and whimsical!
I have a few friends with birthdays coming up & already know where I’ll be coming to get some of their birthday presents! Shopping here was an awesome experience, the two owners were super friendly. Creative Wedge gets an A+ for me. Support small businesses and local artists by shopping here! I’m such a fan!

This is one of the cutest, most delightful boutiques in the area — plus everything is all made by artisans. There is a gourmet cheese/​wine/​beer/​nibbles section, plus the most amazing variety of art (practical, whimsical and simply just amazing pieces).
I adore everything in the shop and always look forward to poking in to see what they have new. The owners have a great variety of items for gift giving (I always love everything so much that I end up wanting to keep everything I buy) and they wrap everything with a lot of panache!

Owners Sloane and Barbara offer great service and well-​priced products. Their personalities make gift shopping a real pleasure.
