I do work at Sensia Salon & Spa as a Certified Massage Therapist BUT I also have a duo relationship with Sensia as a customer. It is a great environment to work in AND feel relaxed. That is something you can feel the minute you walk in. All the ladies are wonderful and as independent contractors they offer the flexibility to work with customers out the bounds of operating hours whether its earlier or later. Try us out and keep checking in for more pictures of their work. :)

I’ve never had a terrible experience here, but after going to other salons I’ve just come to realize that Sensia has a lot of room for improvement. I’ve gotten my hair done, nails done, and waxed at Sensia so I’ve dealt with many people at the place. I guess my biggest problem is the lack of professionalism and consistency provided. The lack of professionalism comes mostly from the stuff I’ve read on here or Facebook from whoever runs Sensia’s accounts. And the lack of consistency refers to the fact that there were a few times where I would get comfortable with one person, call to make another appointment with them, but would find out that they had left Sensia. I even talked to one woman who worked there and said she felt like it was high school all over again. I’m sure Sensia hasn’t gotten rid of that many people, but I just happened to be the one that had to start over with so many different people there. Sensia has so much potential to be one of top places in Visalia, but right now it’s like you’re walking into Mean Girls without the funny jokes.

This is in response to Cathy the owner. I left my review honestly about getting my nails done and how they turned out. As a owner I would think you would apologize for my unsatisfactory experience. Instead you blamed it on me and made up lies about messing with my phone. That I went out to my car four times so that’s why they must of got messed up right?! We’ll I’m telling you this is untrue? Check your surveillance videos! I never even answered a call or went outside. Not even for a min. So as you can trash talk clients that dnt leave positive reviews it only shows how you really handle situations and the kind of person you really are! Sad for you !

The lovely ladies here are truly one of a kind. I highly recommend going to see either Tina or Chrystal. They both did an excellent job on me, and i will keep on coming back on a regular basis. Both of them so fun and compassionate toward people who are transitioning like myself. When I left their more than capable hands at this salon, I left with a new confidence, and a look to match it too. Thank you ladies!

Ask for Tina, she gave me the best haircut I have had in 8 years! I was living in Dallas Texas and could not find anyone who could cut hair without paying hundreds of dollars so I gave up and grew my hair out. Being new to Visalia, I had little faith of finding any one better. I have super straight hair so it really takes someone who knows what they are doing to layer my hair and have it fall right. Tina cut my super straight hair so perfect, it takes 3 minutes to blow dry it and it falls perfect!

I was looking for a new hair stylist & found a Groupon for Tina at Sensia. Great choice. Tina did a great job, & now I have a new stylist!

I walked into this joint with my Mom, and the woman at the ‘front desk’ gave me the most disgusted look I have ever seen on a person. Completely unprofessional! When she said«Can I help you?» it was done with the most dullest tone, which I suppose was supposed to go with her expression. If she was attempting a haughty-snotty sort of impression, she nailed it. And with that being said… first impressions last the longest. If you’re going to have someone sit at the ‘front desk’ of a business, put someone there that greets potential clientele with a cheerful attitude and a damn smile on their face!!! Having this woman greet us made me not want to return to Sensia, even though my mother and I only stepped in there to get some information.

My husband and I have been to Sensia for the massages and facials. I don’t particularly like any massages, but this was nice. Now my husband REALLY likes massages and he REALLY likes facials… needless to say… he goes more than me! Lol I have also had my haircut there by Camille. She did a great job. Yes, her English was not perfect, but good golly… this is Visalia! And none of the other ladies looked like they knew a lick of Spanish so this is probably an advantage for the salon. Anyhow, I like the owner… she is the one whom does the facials. Super nice. Keeps a nice salon. I really like how the hair cutting /nails /pedicures /make up is separated from the massage /facial /electrolysis area. Gives a nice separation and mellow atmosphere in the back area. Oh yeah… and there are 2 bathrooms which are very well kept up… THANKGOD! Downfall? Not open on Sundays, not even by appointment. Sundays are ideal for me to really get things done so kind of a bummer there. Anyhow…if your looking for a one stop salon for all your pampering needs… I say: This is it!

This review is for one of the«Stylist» that works at Sensia, Camille or Camelia. I’m not even sure because she never gave me her name, bad sign. Another bad sign was her lack of ability to communicate, she had VERY broken English and I was mostly confused the entire time. However, I was not confused when in the middle of my hair cut(after I told her EXACTLY what I wanted) she tells me my hair cut is going to be a surprise. A surprise… now I like surprises but I do not like surprises when it comes to my hair, especially when I gave her specific instructions. No surprise but I did not like my hair cut and will never return to Sensia. I question their professionalism when they hire people who barely speak English, who do not follow their clients specific instructions and allow them to still work in their salon. If you decide to go the best of luck to you but DONOT book with Camille/Camelia.

My regular hair dresser and I could not make our schedules work so this one time i called Sensia for a root touch up on my blonde hair. Lori answered the phone. When I showed for my appointment. She was 20 minutes late because she was doing someones nails(I should have ran right then and there). She had a nail booth, not a hair station. She borrowed someone elses hair station. After 4 ½ hours i walked out with brown hair and blonde roots… i don’t even know how it happened. The worst appointment ever in my life. I now have to try and beg my normal hairdresser to fix this disater and pay to have my hair done again!!! I’ll never be going back.

I’m from Los Angeles and planned a trip that took me through Tulare/Visalia area. Slim pickings in Tulare so I turned to Visalia and found Sensia Salon and Spa. I’ve been to Warner Springs Ranch in Temecula, Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona, to mention a few, and I have to say Sensia Salon and Spa is a great facility. Massage rooms are separated from the salon area, pedicure pool spa’s are in a separate room from the main salon which gives a feeling of privacy and comfort. Great place to relax and unwine if you’re passing through the Tulare/Visalia area. I will definitely be a return customer next time I come through here. *If you’re doing a couples massage, ask for Carlos and Angela… they’re Great!

I’m from Visalia, but no longer live here and I must say this is a hidden gem. I’m not much for overly foo foo places, and I enjoyed the staff and atmosphere. I took my mom here as a gift for Mother’s Day and had a mother and daughter massage. She loved it so much, that when my dad’s bday came around, she treated him. She was so relaxed afterwards that she could barely talk as she was getting a pedi, which is unlike her and was very humorous to me. This was a great gift for her since she had never had a massage in her 64 years. It was nice to know she enjoyed herself.
