Had lunch for 10 — food was fine — mostly salads. Food was slow to come out since there was only 2 – 3 other small tables .
Plates were never cleared even as it was clear it was birthday party with gifts, socializing etc. Resorted to stacking them myself to make room.

Husband and I were craving a nice steak dinner, so I brought him here for his first Tommys experience. Everything was beyond our expectations. Our steaks were perfectly cooked, and very tasty. We both agreed that the best part of the meal was the bread pudding we shared for dessert.

I had one of the specials… linguine with shrimp and lobster. They must have show the linguine and picture of the lobster because if it was in there… maybe 1 or 2 bites. The pasta was gluey. The other dinner was the chicken with chorizo, tasty chorizo but the chicken was way over cooked. we order Crème brûlée for dessert… it was undercooked, almost runny.

I went to Tommy’s in spite of all the negative reviews I read on Unilocal.Glad I did. Service was excellent all the way thru from hostess to end of dinner. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Not overly attentive, just right. Server Debbie was truly awesome. The right level of professionalism and friendliness. Obviously enjoyed her job, made good suggestions, helped us navigate the menu. The food was very good though the chile verde ribeye needed more sauce I felt. Server Debbie showed up with a cup for me like she read my mind. Her suggestion of the tempura sweet potatoes appetizer was excellent. I would order them again. My margarita was an 8 out of 10 but I am very picky with cocktails. My companion loved the margarita. Maybe it’s me. I would definitely give 4.5 on Tommy’s because 5 is perfect. Might be considered pricey by some but not me. Come here and enjoy.

Great food, terrible service. I would not recommend this place for large groups. Our waiter was rude and had a terrible attitude. Food was delicious, but not worth paying 30 – 40 $ a plate to be harassed by the waiter about splitting checks! Will not be coming back here anytime soon.

Fleischliebhaber kommen hier auf ihre Kosten. Üppige Portionen, sehr gute Qualität. Dazu gute offene Weine und ein engagierter Service. Wir hatten Lammracks, Kobe Burger und ribeye steak und haben die Wahl alle nicht bereut.

We tried this place on a whim, and it didn’t disappoint. Our server Kai was polite, very attentive and extremely helpful. Excellent craft beer selection and the restaurant has great ambience. The prime rib is to die for and comes in a king-sized portion. We will definitely dine there again and would also highly recommend.

Had a party of 10. Were greeted and seated immediately. Staff was superb and friendly. Food was delicious. Everyone’s order was different and every single one was superb. My filet mignon was «melt-in-your-mouth»” delicious. It was a wonderful experience and fun had by all.

My husband and I have eaten here a few times and it took those few times to find the things that we really liked.
The steak nachos are delicious! They come with good chunks of meat, and the guacamole tastes great on it. I LOVE avocados but am not usually a fan of guacamole because to me it usually tastes too oniony, but the guac on the nachos tasted perfect! My husband ordered the burger which was DREAMY, and I ordered the spinach salad and added chicken. Both the chicken and the dressing on the salad was very good.
The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is because of a few things. I don’t really understand why Tommy’s charges so much. There isn’t a bathroom in the actual restaurant; you have to go through the bar to use the dirty restroom that you have to wait for because there are only 2 toilets for the entire restaurant. We don’t have any children but if we did, I would not want to walk them through the bar to use the restroom. Also, the tables and chairs aren’t really that fancy. If you lift up the table cloths you’ll find that they are plastic tables. For a place that charges $$$, I would expect fancier chairs and tables, and nicer (and CLEANER) bathrooms.

No one cared enough to say something. Maybe it was the chef that posted funny. I just wish you could see the hair in the pic. The chef actually came out to watch us leave. He wears a bandana and looked very smug. We just wanted to have a good time. Very sad. We actually had 178 look at our pic. That is the only pic we have posted.
We need to take pic of good food but we always eat in then think of taking pic. Sorry.

Had an amazing meal here the other night, very rarely do I get my filet cooked just as I like it (med. Rare, its usually way overcooked at most places) they nailed it!!! The service was about a 4, but they had a huge party in the next room so I’ll give em a break. All in all I will be back! And ask for some bread it’s amazing as well…

The food is amazing, bread pudding to die for. However, do not ever come here if u have more than 2 people. It took almost 2 hours to order then get food… they seem to be used to this as the brought to go boxes with it. To charge $ 30 – 40 a plate the service should be better. We were a planned group with reservations for over a month there should have been preparations made to accommodate the group with timely food service.

Finally found a GREAT restaurant in Visalia! Service was great, food was AMAZING, beautiful restaurant and just worth every penny! Hubby had the peppered NY steak and I had the sea bass special. Both dishes were delish! Will definitely come back again.

Came in last night for drinks & a nice steak. The food was on point, service was speedy. I ordered the cedar rib eye, whatever sauce they had on top was delicious! I ordered my steak cooked medium rare steak, cooked perfectly. It was a nice night out with my husband, overall great experience. Oh and great drinks too! We got the dirty bird martinis. Defiantly be coming back.

This review was purposely delayed as I was waiting for someone to return my call, no response as of today so here it goes…
On November 6,2015 we arrived on time for our 7:00 reservation (party of 5) for my husbands birthday. Unfortunately it didn’t start off good and just got worse.
We weren’t served any drinks until about 7:25 but the worse part was our DINNER didn’t arrive UNTIL 8:43 and then my son in laws dinner arrived under cooked 10 minutes later than the rest of us.
Yes apologies kept coming but no food, no drinks, my 7 year old grandson was starving having only bread & butter to eat while waiting almost 2 hours to eat.
It was a disastrous evening with the food not properly cooked (prime rib was cool to the touch) and no one bothering to at least do something for our grandson.
It was as if they had forgotten our complete order then hurriedly threw it together forgetting the simplest meal-a hamburger.
We were so disappointed as my daughter had great experiences there and wanted to take her dad for his birthday.
Still undecided if we should try again.

Great 16oz Prime Rib with garlic mash pototes and grilled veggie. Josh was a great server. It’s was the BEST if your ever in Visalia stop in, you’ll wouldn’t be disappointed. Try the bread pudding.

First time coming here. I came during my lunch hour, and entered the bar area. I ordered the Avocado Bacon Burger. Wow! That was delicious. The chipotle mayo gives it a nice addition to the burger. Good size burger that keeps you full. The fries were average, though. I would come back to see what else is good.

Overall this place is wonderful. It has a warm and inviting setting. The food so far is great. I had the spinach salad, the meatloaf, and last but never least their award winning bread pudding for dessert.
Spinach salad: sweet and savory
Meatloaf: moist and flavorful! The salty factor in the dish was a little over powering but overall that was the best meatloaf I ever had
Bread pudding: DELICIOUS! I can see why they won an award for it. If I can compare it to anything it tastes like French toast
I will be back next time I’ll b trying the smores dessert

Mmm so fancy! Went here for my brothers birthday and I surprisingly got the cheapest plate, a Kobe burger, which was so decadently delicious I could hardly finish it. I also tried my husbands meatloaf, which was peppery and not my thing, but I’ve never liked meatloaf. Then, I tried my brothers filet and that was GOOD. Definitely melt in your mouth status. We all finished up with bread pudding, only second to cracked pepper bistro in Fresno because there wasn’t quite enough whipped cream.
If I could say anything, it would be that service was rather slow for how few people were there, and the restrooms were rather inconveniently placed, but I have zero complaints on the quality of food, and would definitely recommend this place for anybody in Visalia.
