I give this place 3 stars. After reviewing everyone’s comments on how great this place I had to try, only to find myself not into it like others have raved. I order miso soup, rainbow roll, and a mexi Cali roll. First and foremost the miso soup at so much onion that I wasn’t even able to taste the paste. I only had maybe 2 pieces of tofu in there as well. Not the typical miso soup I taste at other places. The sushi is basic… not a whole lot to choose from. Isn’t the meaning of rainbow the different colors of the spectrum, so I would think maybe different types of fish would show. Salmon and Tuna was what covered the rainbow roll. The mexi Cali roll was the only roll I would eat again because it wasn’t jaunt bland there was flavor. Jalapeños and spicy mayo along with I believe Sriracha. The service was prompt and I’ll throw my hat off to the gentlemen serving me. For the price of all just shy of $ 20.

The sushi was pretty good. Seemed pretty fresh and the tempura shrimp roll was really good, but I wouldn’t call this place amazing. I was surprised that when I went to pick-up our food, there was literally no one eating at the restaurant, and this was a Friday night at 7pm.

Not bad. Simple and inexpensive but still tasty. Very friendly service too. For something quick I recommend this place.

We ordered the tempura shrimp roll and the chicken plate. Amazing! Not only the quality in food is good but also in service. We totally recommend this place.

Best kept secret in Vista, amazingly. New, modern, clean, small uptempo restaurant which serves very tasty dishes for wonderfully reasonable prices. Included is sushi, which is fresh, nicely prepared… no sushi counter, also well priced. A gem, and asset to the community that isn’t a chain restaurant.

Quick and easy-they have veggie rolls that are super good! Glad the employees are sweet. They’re a fairly new biz so go support :)

This place is always clean and has fresh flowers on the table. I go for the sushi, which is a good price and flavor. This is a great stop for lunch in between errands!

This place has always gone above and beyond my expectations. I usually get their sushi to go and go home to enjoy it. Not that they have a bad atmosphere or anything, their dining area is kept super clean, fresh flowers on the table and their customer service is hard to come by. I am a sushi-head, I love sushi but I only love good quality, tasteful sushi, and this place has it. And my favorite part, they’re extremely light on your wallet.

Probably the best sushi I’ve had in California. I fell in love with sushi in Okinawa, Japan so I’ve been spoiled but this place is the closest I can find. Great customer service, clean dining area, and amazing food. If you’re a sushi lover like me I highly recommend you try this place! You will not be disappointed.

Tasty sushi rolls cut into actual BITESIZED pieces! I didn’t have to deal with it falling apart as I was trying to get it into mouth! Good food, good service, good music!

Great atmosphere(flowers music and service overcome the fact it’s in a Target shopping center!) Had wonderfully presented hot jasmine tea and spicy shrimp roll. Reasonably priced too!

My review is based only on the chicken teriyaki, which was definitely below average. It tasted more like chicken that is served with lettuce for chicken wraps and looked like it, too(barely any hint of teriyaki sauce). My boyfriend ordered sushi though and loved it, so perhaps the lesson here is to stick with sushi at this place. Service was really good so I feel a bad giving such a low review.

Are these people freakin’ kidding me. C. Jack must be short for See us Jack your money. The chicken teriyaki is a rip off, tastes like poop and smells about the same. You could get more authentic Asian food from Panda Express.

So happy we finally tried C-Jack! Service was prompt and they have a steady line of people coming in for take out(always a good sign). We opted for the spicy tuna roll, C-Jack noodles and salmon. Order during happy hour and you get a free cali crunch roll. Everything was great and the fish is really fresh. Highly recommend!

I actually love this spot. I was skeptical at first as it seemed more of a fast food type a place, but the place is legit! Super clean, friendly personnel and food is airways good. I love the rolls and spicy noodles. If only they had Saki… sigh.

Nice little restaurant next to MiaBella. I had the Chef’s Special A, it tasted pretty good, though the nigiri style sushi it comes with seemed to be lacking in the rice part of it. There normally is double the amount of rice for each nigiri sushi at other places I’ve eaten. The sauce that came with it was different, sort of like sesame mayo sriracha or something similar. I also found a fish bone in the salmon roll, and had to eat the rest of the roll slowly in case there were more. I don’t remember seeing any kind of combo type meals on the menu, so the miso soup or salad is going to be a separate order. The boba drink prices are pretty steep, though I don’t know how big they are. The staff are pretty friendly and attentive. They have free wi-fi and TV’s to watch any sports games if you want to hang around for a while. The décor is pretty nice, they had these huge roses on the tables when I ate there. I wouldn’t mind trying this place out again sometime, and going next door to get some yogurt afterward.

I decided to give this spot a try as I needed a half way point to meet a friend for dinner and was craving sushi. Based on the pictures of the rolls, I wasn’t expecting such a casual mall-ish setting. Also, should have read the no alcohol part about this establishment. Once I overcame these two bumps, I decided to give the place a fair shot and ordered the spicy tuna, chef’s special roll, and the dragon roll. I was definitely disappointed by them all. They lacked the flavor punches I would have expected from these combination speciality rolls and I couldn’t bring myself to eat even half of the order(even sharing with a friend). Service was good but not good enough to make up for the very mediocre food.

After seeing a few great Unilocal reviews, we decided to try this place out this past Friday. They’ve been open about 3 weeks. Upon entering, there was a really strong gas smell(maybe a pilot light from the kitchen went out?) and it was cold. The place is small(approximately 30 seats) and it almost lends itself better to take out food than a sit down joint. We ordered lumpia, 3 sushi rolls, and a noodle dish(see pictures). They were good. The service was friendly. It was a good value for our money. Our bill came to 42.07(without tip). Would we return? Hmm, maybe for takeout… but not to dine in.
