We just went here for a birthday party and it was awful. The wait to order was 30 minutes; and it took them three times that to get the order to us. Not enough workers for weekend service.

This place is bullshit it took them two hours to deliver my food and then when he finally came it wasn’t even the right corner I found kids digging their hands in the salad bar and the dressing and nobody said anything this place is fucking ridiculous and they have your gas city to tell me it’s busy it’s a Saturday there shortstaffed he started running out of food and the food tasted like shit the whole place is a mess you got shit on the floors you got shit in the bathroom you got shit on the soda machines and they had shitty fingers in the croutons.

They do not have enough staff. Three people for the whole facility is not enough. Games kept breaking and not giving the correct amount of tickets. If there was more staff it would have been better.

Honestly I had the worst experience here ! First I called to speak to a manager over the phone she told me to ask for her as soon as I get there I was planning my nieces 2^nd birthday when I arrived the manger didn’t want to come out to speak about deals or birthday packages ! Which upset me even more because I was willing to spend a good 500 $ or even more had I been helped ! I had my whole family come to celebrate and of course it didn’t feel like birthday party due to the unprofessional staff ! And FYI I’m also a manager and believe me I drop everything I’m doing to make sure customers are taken care of right away ! Don’t ever plan on coming to this chuck E cheese ! Especially with the «unprofessional management team here ! Because if the management isn’t acting right what makes you think their staff will ! «0» stars

Two stars for the fact that the staff is scrambling around trying to do their job. 0 stars for whoever is in charge and decided that during Christmas break you could handle the lunch buffet with 3 people working. The idea of a lunch buffet is awesome, however the execution is poorly managed at this location. The pizza that does come out is quickly devoured by hungry customers, who wait over on hour just for a simple pepperoni pizza. Also the variety of pizza is limited as well with only 3 different types of pizza out at a time. I also don’t undestand how a pizza place can take so long to make a simple pizza I don’t know if it’s due to a lack of personnel or if it’s an equipment issue but come on, if your going to have a buffet at least do it right! Yes some of the games were broken but they did have people there trying to fix then so that’s a plus. However can we all just acknowledge that in any customer service job that serves food cleanliness is a priority! Please please PLEASE teach your employees to wipe down tables and seating areas properly !!!

I can’t believe I’m doing this but I’m giving this place 5 stars. My kids love it here. I personally see doc visits from all the potential kid germs around here but my kids keep wanting to go back so 5 stars for keeping them entertained!

Seriously, I am not a picky or a mean person BUT in this situation I’m pretty upset. We placed our order at approximately 6:07pm on Saturday night. We had to talk to the cashiers 3 different times. We didn’t get our pizza until 7:20pm. It took speaking to 3 different people to get our pizza. I understand, business’s get busy. But what irked me was the fact that we ordered ONE pizza while others who ordered AFTER us were receiving their orders. I saw two different orders be delivered to their table and both had 2 pizzas and wings. Like I said, I’m not a mean person, I didn’t yell at anyone but it was upsetting. Can’t do it. Sorry. Good luck to anyone else.

Arrived here around noon on a Saturday. Surprisingly not too busy. No need to wait for rides or games. Cleanest Chuck e Cheese by far! Food is nothing special, but there are plenty of food joints like Panda Express and Rubio’s nearby.

Living in carlsbad, indoor places for kids are so limited. chuck e cheese is always a great go to place

Came in on a Sunday and it seemed severely understaffed. Food line 15 minutes long, 45 minutes and food still not delivered, so asked for a refund. I see a lady and her child standing by the prize counter for at least 10 minutes without anyone coming over to help them.

This place is AWESOME!!!
IT’S great for younger kids, and also older kids, like me. It’s even a great place for adults.

Loved this location, huge, super clean and they offer a toddler area! Will probably stop going to the other location after being introduced to this one.

This place needs improving big time! I came here for the first time with family last weekend and my initial thought was wow this place is pretty big. The chuck e cheese in my hometown is a lot smaller. And my hubby liked that they had Goose IPA on tap, but thats where the excitement ended. We ordered a salad and when I bit in to a cucumber, it was rotten. I had to spit it out. Once i inspected it the center of it was clear and slimy. It left a strong bitter taste in my mouth. I managed a pizza place in my youth and that was one thing i never let happen was expired food. That’s poor management, no excuse. Once the pizza came i grabbed the peppers and cheese and the jars felt grimy like they have never been wiped or washed before. Gross! My kids begged me to bring them and NEVER AGAIN. especially after paying 80 $ for 2 pizzas, small wings and a salad.

I have to say that Chuck e Cheese has improved a lot from the last time I was here, which was over 6 years ago. There food has improved by 100%! They have a little salad bar with a pretty good variety of stuff to pick from. There menu is a lot larger now from what I remember. Chuck himself is totally different from what I remember. I mean the kids have a great time and the food was good.

Terrible. They were out of beer. Half the games were broken. Selection of prizes to choose from was picked over. Everything was filthy. Never ever going back.

Ugh, the food here is as bad as it was 35 yrs ago when my son was little and we were FORCED to take him here! That was in the Reseda area of the San Fernando Valley where he grew up.
Now I have a grandchild and my son and agreed too, their food is just not good… at all. The pizza had no flavor, the crust was not worth talking about. The salad bar left a lot to be desired and wow, that was some bad blue cheese dressing, yuck. Sweet, sweet, sweet… and not in a good way.
The reason they even get 2 stars is that my grandson loves the place because of all the animated characters and singing with the stage and all the rides and games.
We got there shortly after they opened and had to wait at least 10 minutes for someone to show up at the register so we could order. They were very apologetic and very nice, but really? Your employees are not prepared even after being open a half hour or so? When you have little kids with you, you can’t wait too long… attention span and all that you know.
In the future, we’ll just come back and order something very minimal, or eat somewhere else and then play here.

My nieces were visiting for a few days so to keep them entertained we took them to Chuck E Cheese. I’ve been to a couple of other locations (Escondido and Oceanside) but this location is the best! Everything was clean and overall seemed newer, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and all of the games worked (which isn’t something I can say for the Oside location). The kids had a blast! Will definitely be back to the Vista location!

I’ve only been to a Chuck E Cheese one other time and it was for our granddaughters birthday party a few years ago. She was terrified of the big mouse so she spent most of her time hiding behind an adult just peaking from behind occasionally to see if the mouse was lurking around the corner to grab her. Not a ton of fun.
For the last two weekends we have taken two of our g-​kids here and had a great time. The fact that every family gets a stamp on the wrist — you can only leave with who you came in with definitely put us at ease letting the kids do there own thing.
The kids go from playing arcade games to climbing through the tubes, ladders and slides of the playground. The mouse comes out every hour on the half, does a little dance with the kids and throws handfuls of tickets in the air that the kids can redeem for prizes. (Cheap but the kids love it!)
For the kids who don’t like the mouse — let the person at the door know and the mouse will do its best not walk up to your table.
We got one of the packages that included a pizza, two drinks and some tokens. Everything the kiddos needed to have a blast for less than $ 25.
Staff was friendly and the overall appearance was clean.
We will be back!

I think its a great place for young kids. There are more games and things they can do here compared to boomers, Belmont park or any other arcade. It’s also a token each so you dont have to spend much on games and they can pick a toy for prizes which they love! (even though those toys are super cheap) it’s also small enough that you dont have to be super worried about them getting lost. There are however not a lot of variety of food which isn’t so bad because their options are what kids would eat and its good for a quickly meal. I also like that the characters are active with the kids

Hooray! Time to let my kid go crazy (under close supervision!) somewhere other than our home!
This location has much more to offer than the Vista Way location. It’s much more spacious, the employees are kind, and it wasn’t as busy as the other location is.
Tip: If you can, try and save your tickets for the prizes. The little knick knacks accumulate fast!
