I’ve only had the ramen and it’s pretty decent. It’s also super close to my work so that makes this place convenient. The staff is always super nice too.

Great sushi and environment. The rolls are big and moderately priced. This place is decorated cute and is perfect for date night. I recommend parking across the street at Starbucks because the movie theater parking gets quite crowded.

3 stars — the miso soup was tasty
Negative points — the sushi was so disgusting. The octopus was an odd gray color and smelled funny. The waitress seemed annoyed that I told her it looked rancid and we weren’t eating it. It kind of ruined the meal and we haven’t been back since.

Don’t go here unless you have a LOT of time.
My husband and I went here for late lunch and it took 2 hours to get through 2 miso soups and 2 rolls.
That said, I’d come back

If I could give zero stars, I would have. My boyfriend and I sat down and the waitress only handed us one menu, because they ran out. We waited thirty minutes, while other tables who came in after us were served. We ended up leaving and ate some where else.

This place has good food! But the overall customer service sucks! The wait time to order food is ridiculously. They won’t even acknowledge you! This place would be good but they need to up their customer service game!

Food was amazing! Great service nice people. Carlos has over 15 years experience as a sushi chef. He was cool. He should get a pay increase. One way for faster service here is sitting at the sushi bar, I recommend the dragon roll! Check them out!

Good food, I have had better but mot much. The staff is very kind and was good with my loud children. Did not see a kids menu so try to leave the kids at home but they are reasonable in price so you don’t have to break the bank to feed them.

The sushi itself was very so-so.Not the best sushi I have had but not the worst. However the service was really horrible. Our waitress was very friendly but did not have very much knowledge of the menu. We waited for her to come by our table for 25 MINUTES so we could ask for a check and be on our way but she never showed so we figured maybe she got off work? Whatever the reason was we had to go to the front and request the check. While we were up there we noticed she was standing by the bar area talking to other employees. Never got a thank you or good bye from her. Won’t be returning.

Went to sushi with the boyfriend early Friday afternoon. The sushi was great, but the service left a bad taste in my mouth. Our waitress that we had was so rude and not pleasant. She never asked us how everything was or thanked us at the end. She was very snappy and seemed like she hated her life. Worst service ever. Please improve your wait staff if you want returning customers.

The ambience is very nice and feels authentic when you have an Asian girl greeting you, but as soon as you take a bite into their sushi… the quality does not meet the attention to detail they spent on décor.
It is next to Cinepolis (movie theater) as well as other restaurants, but you would think this would be the highlight of the shopping center? sadly, ive experienced better and I believe my friend who are sushi lovers like myself couldn’t agree more.
If they could get their quality of fish up to par, this place would be the next hot place to check out.

I say go f*ck yourself to this restaurant. The wife and I stopped by here to get some food and drinks for lunch prior to going to watch a movie next door.
We were seated at the sushi bar, ordered drinks and looking at the menus while repeatedly being harassed to place an order for food from two dirt bags on the opposite side of the counter.
They were like used car salesmen trying to get a sale. After a few moments and mutiple times telling them that we’re still looking at the menu, we decided to finish our beers and go next door for lunch.
They were talking sh*t in a language that I didn’t understand. I could tell from their facial expressions, eye contact and posture that they were not talking anything nice and decided to move on.

Mmmm those were some good rolls! The fish was really fresh and tasty. Even the basic tuna roll was good, but it’s pretty hard to mess that up. The Del Mar roll was honestly amazing… spicy tuna and yellowtail inside and salmon and scallops on top. SO good. A little too big to be a true one-​biter, but that was forgivable because of the deliciousness factor. The tiger roll was also decent, although I’m not certain what makes the tuna on top «cajun.» They do a good spicy mayo here, too.
I agree with others that the 50% off gimmick is silly (and it’s only 40% off for takeout orders, which is even sillier). Anyone who knows the typical price of a spider roll knows that $ 14 is totally exorbitant (that’s what they list it at)… but that $ 7 is standard (what you end up paying after the «deal.») Personally I’d rather the prices just be listed as what they are.
I’d order from here again.

Has to be one of the best sushi places around. Great service from the second we were seated to until we left, super attentive. Food was insane good, super fresh, Carlos was like an artist, beautiful. Absolutely we will be back again.

This was the place that turned me on to sushi. I had tried sushi several times around Chicago, and never liked it. Turns out, I just needed to try fresh sushi.
We come here several times a month, and the food is always wonderful. Great sushi chefs, very talented. Probably my all around favorite sushi place in San Diego.

I came here with friends after catching a movie. Every time I’ve passed by, it always seems pretty empty. Myself and two other friends ordered bentos — came with the usual fanfare — main dish, side dish of fried veggies, miso soup, small salad and rice.
My big complaint with this place is that ordering sushi seems overly complicated. We originally came in for sushi but we all settled for chicken or beef teriyaki or shrimp tempura. A friend ordered California rolls and those were okay, but again, ordering sushi by itself seems difficult and the menu given is a mess.
Great place if you have time to kill though! Very relaxed environment.
