I have had severe ear problems for years, Dr. Lebovits and his fantastic staff have saved my life. I have had tubes put in, and a tonsillectomy here, and the entire time I was treated as family by him and his staff. I would rate 10 stars if I could!

Dr. Lebovits treated me for an ear infection that my primary doctor did not resolve with antibiotics. I was lucky to be squeezed in same day — explaining that I have been in pain for a week. Dr. Lebovits treated performed a minor surgery in his office that day — incision through the eardrum and vacuumed the fluid out. He placed a ventilation tube in the eardrum itself to drain the remaining fluid.
Throughout the anesthesia and surgery itself Dr. Lebovits explained very clearly what he was doing and checked in with me constantly. He has extremely good bedside manner! It was comforting to be in the hands of such an experienced doctor during a scary experience.
As for Dr. Lebovits’ character, he volunteers in Mexico with Great Smiles Foundation, which performs cleft pallette and other surgeries for children in need. I know this because after my appointment I told my husband what happened to me that day and he personally knows Dr. Lebovits from volunteering with Great Smiles. Dr. Lebovits is highly respected among doctors in the SD community.

I do not write one star reviews unless I have tried for months to resolve the issue with the business. In this case, the doctor charged me over $ 340 for a 15 minute consultation. I called back and said that this must be a mistake, since another doctor (who is VERY reputable) charged me $ 65 for the same consultation. The only «prescription» the doctor gave me was to purchase an over the counter nasal spray. The other suggestion was to have a surgery performed by the doctor. When I asked how much the surgery would cost, the people at the office would not tell me.
That is when I got the bill for $ 342, which I can only guess was a punishment for not saying yes to the surgery.
Any time I called the office, they never returned my calls and never let me speak with the doctor. They were extremely rude and hostile on the phone and when I asked what the charges were for, the person at Dr Lebovits’ office could not give me a straight answer. The only thing she said was that the charges would stand. After months of calling the office, I had to go there in person and negotiate the bill person.

Conclusion = DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR, AND DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS IN THE PAPERWORK, WHICH THEY CLAIM ALLOWS THE OFFICE TO CHARGE YOU ANY AMOUNT THEY WANT WITH NO JUSTIFICATION REQUIRED. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THANK GOD I DID NOT AGREE TO HAVE THIS DOCTOR PERFORM THE SURGERY, WHO KNOWS HOW MUCH THE BILL WOULD HAVE BEEN.
