Poppa Rollo’s Pizza

We had my son’s 8^th birthday party. They set us up in a private room, and had no problem catering to whatever we needed at all! The pizza was amazing as always, and that’s coming from a guy who really doesn’t like pizza!

The staff was very helpful in setting up my large party (40) in their arcade room. The server was friendly and polite, attending to all my guests’ needs. The room is clean, bright and fun without being too noisy. It was perfect for my kids’ birthday party!

Most memorable customer service I’ve ever had. I wish I could say it was memorable in a good way and I wish I could remember our waitresses name. Long brown hair, terrible attitude. We went in one evening and waited way too long for our order to arrive and one of our friends at the table had to go find our waitress to ask for ranch. Then I asked her if we could get some cold mugs for our beer and she replied «hmm, probably not.» If you’re too lazy to get some, at least lie and say «no ma’am we don’t have any frozen right now, sorry» and I wouldn’t have batted an eye. I have not ever had such terrible, rude service at any restaurant in my life. I will not return to the Hewitt poppa rollo’s. Very disappointing.

They have the best pizza in town, the crust is real crispy, not soggy & they put a ton of toppings on. Their side salads are good & really big. Some of the wait staff are to busy flapping to other wait staff than paying attention to their customers, but other than that they have great pizza.

Good pizza. Not great, crappy service. Was closed out before ever asked if food was good or if i wanted anything else. Manager should be working counter at taco bell

Best pizza in town! So glad they came to Hewitt. The four meat pizza may not be the healthiest dish, but it is fabulous!

This pizza was pretty bad. We ordered the gluten free one, which didn’t help I’m sure… but in general the ingredients seemed low quality and the taste was barely bearable.
Staff was very friendly though. We sat at the bar, which was small but had TVs with football on it, etc.

The food is always excellent and the service is awesome! Anything on the menu is great, but there is no other pizza in the world like the Poppa Rollos «The Works.» Be sure and take a tour around and see the bookcase that leads to a room and the phone booth that goes to the game room.

Walked in. Greet time was five minutes. Nothing but kids working there and constantly on their phones. Had to get Togo cups and silverware due to dirty plates and cups. I asked for their signature pizza shake that I get from poppa Rollos on valley mills every time and he had no idea what I was talking about. Laughing in the kitchen I saw him type my order up. Food was good but could have been warmer and crispier. My son handed me the receipt after I paid and what he showed me shocked me! Instead of inputing «extra pizza shake» the young kid that was my waiter typed «extra titty sprinks» I will be contacting management for my young son has seen this and I am appalled. I will try to post picture for proof!
Not a typo either. You have to manually type in special notes like that. They deserve the rating they got because of service and immaturity

I had always wanted to see Rollo’s open up a second location, but was skeptical about things tasting the same until everything had time to properly season. I was not disappointed at all — the food is very consistent in relation to the original location, which means fresh salads and GREAT pizza. They did a great job incorporating the classic Poppa Rollo’s hidden passages and classic décor into a current strip marketplace lot. Being a newer site, it is also much cleaner. There is also a small outdoor seating area which the original location does not have.
The new Rollo’s only gets four stars instead of five because even though they carried a lot of great things over from the original location, they also imported the slow, somewhat inattentive service. I expect to wait a while for the pizza — it takes a particularly long time to cook — but I shouldn’t have to wait equally as long to be able to put in my order once seated.
Poppa Rollo’s has been and will always be the best pizza in Waco. Improve the service and you’ll be opening a third location in no time — on the river across from McLane maybe?

We go to old location all the time. this place was cleaner but had weird odor. the food was just was good as the old place which is GrEAT! My daughter loves the games to play and so did my husband and I! Service was great also.

Best pizza in Waco. New location in Hewitt. Also have good salads. Old location is my favorite but they did a pretty good job replicating it in Hewitt. Pizza is pricey but worth it.
