Filia Cellars

Fun place to meet and hang out with friends. The wines are much better than most you find in Ohio and the staff are friendly. Definitely give this place a try. Just the right mix of funky and class.

Filia Cellars is located in an old, century house remodeled into a winery, located next to the Wadsworth airport. The rooms are rather small, of course, but there are several of them. However, one large group can effectively take over the more ideal rooms (you know, the one with the fireplace). We sat in the enclosed porch area and were very comfortable while the temps outside were in the low 40’s.
Three of us were there the other day and we each ordered something different. We all enjoyed what we ordered. My glass ran $ 6.00 and was a nice healthy pour. Food is available for snacking, or bring your own. A sampler of five (or six?) wines can be had for $ 5.00. The owners are very friendly and made us feel quite welcome. I’ll probably be back.

Great wine, nice atmosphere. The owners, Lisa and Mitch, are very friendly and helpful. We found this place via Groupon which includes wine flights for four and a cheese and cracker appetizer. They have about a dozen wines, some on the sweeter side. Our favorite was the Hannah, a nice relatively dry red.

Filia Cellars has AMAZING red wines! I was very impressed that the owner takes the time to visit her fathers winery in California several times a year to help with the grapes and juice to be shipped back to Ohio so she can finish the wines, what dedication! The Ohio grown grapes for the whites and rose wines are very nice wines. The owner has excellent advice to pair foods, chocolates or any other event you are thinking of planning. I have been to several Ohio wineries and this is a GREAT place to visit! Located next to Sky Park you can relax and watch planes land and take off. If you have the opportunity this is a must! You will be very glad you went, I was!

Stopped out this weekend with some friends and was very disappointed. We left without purchasing. This is a «wanna be winery». Owner took some kind of online wine course making her an «official wine maker». What a joke. It is nothing but a wine bar. Wines are brought in from owners father vineyard. Don’t waste your time, this area has other TRUE wineries who make their own wine. Try Wolf Creek, Silver Run or or High and Low (opening fall of 2015
Owner claims to be a graduate of UC Davis, yet no certificate is posted in winery or on their FB page. Plain and simple… wine bar.
