This is by far the best BBQ Food place I have ever been to! The boneless beef rib was fantastic! So tender! The three little pigs come with 3 rolls but you can go for 4. My wife and I order 4 rolls and it was too much food. This is a place you want to come hungry. The menu is full of great choice!

Amazing service, clean and welcoming cabin-​like trailer on the side of the highway. Onolicious! We enjoyed the shaved ice, with ice cream on the bottom. The menu offers snow caps as well. Kids loved it!

Hands down, THE BEST BARBECUE RIBS in the state! Try it for yourself and try and tell me different. The pleasant demeanor from the ownership is awesome, breathtaking views of beautiful Makapu’u beach park and Mañana and the eastern end of the Ko’olau mountains at the same time, all make for a must try.

Amazing roadside BBQ place and shave ice with a beautiful view. I had the boneless beef rib sandwich. It was juicy and tender with phenomenal crispy onion and cole slaw on top. The pineapple and baked beans sides were outstanding.
My friend got the small plate and it was the perfect amount of food. He also highly recommended the cornbread.
Definitely a must stop on this side of the island. It can be tricky to spot so keep a eye out as you come down the curve.

Relocated from the east coast recently, and have been on the hunt to find great bbq on Oahu. My search is over! Authentic bbq, great sides, and great prices… what more can you ask for?

We were looking for somewhere to eat before we went on a hike, drove by Smokey Ranch, made a u-​turn and came back, so glad we did. We each had the small plate boneless beef which was the most amazing brisket I have ever tasted. It was tender, full of flavor served over rice and I got the Coleslaw as my side. The best brisket I have had in my life, can’t wait to go back. This isn’t just outstanding food, the owners Lanae and Jacob make you feel so welcome, treat you like an old friend and spend time telling you about the food, how they cook it, make suggestions, you can feel the labor of love they put into their business. Prices are very reasonable, and you walk away thinking when can I come back here. This deserves repeat business. Nice table to «dine» in, at the beach true Hawaii! To finish off your meal have their shave ice with vanilla ice cream at the bottom is the best! This is an experience that you must have, over and over… AAAA+++++++

Honestly, this place has to be one of the best BBQ joints I’ve ever been to! Beef brisket sandwich was the best I’ve ever had and the corn bread is PERFECT! Just wish this place was closer to my hotel on the North Shore…

I was looking for a good food truck since driving from Haleiwa at nearly the end of the drive I saw this one and thought this is probably the last one! I’m glad I stopped they had good food, and friendly service.

If you find yourself in O’ahu one day. You must go to Smokey Ranch BBQ! It’s just a 15 to 20 min drive from Waikiki. I promise you it’s worth it. They have the best BBQ in the island, and the owners are very nice and helpful people. I have a great experience eating here with my cousin. We ate and had a really nice chat with the owners about nice hikes in the island. There is nothing better than to eat and chat with the locals in Hawaii.

Everything is delicious here! We got the sampler platter which came with about everything. My husband and I shared it and it was enough for both of us. It came with pulled pork, ribs, brisket, potato salad, rice, slaw, baked beans and a peice of corn bread. For $ 19. It was our first food truck experience on the island and we definitely weren’t disappointed! And the owner was so nice!

After doing some snorkeling and taking some photos of the light house, I noticed the flags on this place. At first I hoped it would be a fresh fruit stand but then I saw the bbq sign and thought why not give it a try. I tried the mini plate of boneless ribs which were delicious! I ordered a garden salad to go with it which only consisted of lettuce which was a little disappointing. I met the owners mother and she was very friendly and hospitable. If you like bbq, I’d give it a try.

Saw this BQQ truck when I was at Makapu’u. Decided to give it a shot and was very happy I did. I had the smoked brisket and my friends had the pulled pork and BBQ chicken. I was amazed at how much I could taste the kiawe smoke in the sandwich. The secret was to dip the sandwich in the awesome baked beans. I’d highly recommend stopping at the log cabin-​looking BBQ food truck if you see it and enjoy the great southern bbq.

Just stopped here for a quick bite to eat after a Costco run. The food was awesome! Husband and wife run food truck. Very friendly and knowledgeable about there menu. Love the smoker attached to the truck you can smell the meat as soon as you pull up. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. I had the mini plate with brisket. Very tender and flavorful. We both choose the cornbread as a side sweet and moist just right. He had the potato salad it was amazing. Price is very reasonable for what you get. They have a couple of tables to sit down outside to enjoy the incredible view. Well worth the drive to enjoy a great meal and good conversation.

I love food trucks, and I love ribs… so you would think it would be a no brainer for me to stop at this unique looking food truck when I saw it in Makapu’u on Kalanianaole Hwy. The trouble was that we were always going to another destination or headed in the wrong direction so it wasn’t very convenient. The location is between Sea Life Park and the lookout point, on the mauka (mountain) side. Still I put this place on my to-​try list, but kept putting it off. The tipping point was when I saw smoke coming from the truck, and realized that they had a real-​live smoker in the back!
So, on a cold and windy day we headed out towards Waimanalo/Makapu’u to try them out. I am so glad we did. They have a lot of offerings besides the ribs to include, brisket, pulled pork and chicken. Sides include coleslaw, baked beans, cornbread, potato salad, rice and garden salad. I opted for the rib plate and my guys got a pulled pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich. The ribs were tender and had a mildly smokey taste, topped with a very tangy barbecue sauce. Perfect. They didn’t have baked beans that day, and I think it would have gone well with the ribs. The coleslaw was mild and not overly tangy or salty. The sandwiches were done like a hoagy with the bun a little toasted so it held together well. It comes topped with the coleslaw but we asked for that on the side. The cornbread was nice and sweet, and came in a cupcake size container.
They have 2 tables to eat at, and admire Rabbit Island and the Pacific Ocean, but the area is a bit dusty and with several beaches and parks so close by that’s another option.
Tip:
Call before you go. Sometimes if the weather is bad they don’t set up.
The current hours on the Unilocal website is incorrect. They are not open till 4 AM. (They usually leave at 4 – 5 PM.
The ribs come in a slab, and though they give utensils I would suggest asking them to slice it.
