A & A

I recently got highlights and a keratin treatment by Ashley and I wanted to give her the Unilocal credit she deserves! She listened to what I asked for and gave it to me! I love my color and the keratin treatment has changed my life!

I highly recommend owner-​operated A & A Hair Boutique! First, it is easy to find on Main St in Wakefield, and there is plenty of on-​street parking. Next, when I walked in, even though the two stylists were busy with other customers I was greeted almost immediately, and within a minute Amanda came over to give me a more personal greeting, and let me know she’d be with me soon. She offered me water, coffee, a magazine… what great service!
The salon is well-​lit, and decorated in such a way as to both exhibit tastefulness and class, yet still inspire relaxation. A radio softly played background music which was at the perfect level to entertain yet not be disruptive. A flat-​screen TV on low volume was also available if patrons preferred to watch a show during their service.
Next, the hair wash was at the perfect temperature and she was very gentle in combing out my tangles. Amanda is both a great conversationalist and a great listener, and I felt very at ease with her. She dried my hair, expertly applied the keratin treatment, and did something no other stylist has done before with either of my previous two long-​term keratin treatments or my keratin express treatment: she wrapped my keratin coated hair and allowed it to soak in just as recommended on the Coppola Keratin Treatment website. She in no way rushed the treatment, executing it perfectly and allowing that extra time for it to soak into my stressed locks.
The staff at A & A was always attentive, offering a beverage or reading material, and I felt like I was being treated like a queen.
When the time came, my hair was blow-​dried, again without tangling it or pulling on my sensitive scalp, and the flat iron sealed in the treatment. I’ve had keratin treatments before, and my hair always looks great. But THIS time, the staff, atmosphere, personal attention, and professionalism were what made the difference for me. Sadly, I’m moving 1000 from Wakefield in 10 days. But if I have time to squeeze in a haircut before I go, I’m going to A & A and I highly recommend them! And if I come back to the area to visit friends, I’ll be booking an appointment with A & A Hair Boutique.
