Ted’s Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Service

I would never, NEVER use this cleaning company nor recommend him to anyone. Please, save yourself the money as you could do a better job then him. You will have to do it yourself in the end anyway.
We just came off of an extensive remodeling of our home and wanted some couches cleaned. This company was recommended to us, so we thought the two week wait was worth the time, but we were wrong and in the end I don’t think it was because he was busy with other clients. He said it would take 2 hours, which it did, when completed my husband (who isn’t as detail oriented as myself) went up to inspect and pay, he only looked at one couch. That couch was actually done properly, but the other three where terrible. I like to personally make sure I get my money’s worth, so I inspected awhile later and noticed that he didn’t vacuum the crevasses or under the cushions.
When I called him on this — after some back and forth, he actually ADMITTED that he only did 99% of the job! I could NOT believe someone would admit to that! Who says that??? Anyway, after further discussion he AGAIN said that he only did 99% of the job. I must say, I absolutely lost it… I said that we should have just paid 99% of the bill! He proceeded to hang up. I am so angry I paid him in cash.
So please, there are a million cleaning services out there, stay away from Ted’s. Unless you like getting a job 99% done.

I have used Ted’s Carpet Cleaning many times in the past at my home in Montgomery and although I agree that they are sometimes hard to get a hold of during the day, they have always returned my calls the same evening. They do excellent work and are very trustworthy, reliable and personable. They go to great lengths to protect the furniture and put styrofoam blocks under the legs so as not to leave rust marks on the carpet. I would highly recommend them.

Needing carpets to be cleaned and getting Ted’s number and card from a neighbor seemed like a great idea. I called and made an appointment after getting a quote for the cleaning. Sounds easy enough but I had to call a couple times and leave messages until I finally got a call back from someone who was not so friendly. Strange because neighbors referred Ted’s service to me and they said that they did excellent work.
I had to cancel the appointment so I called a week ahead of time to cancel, of course I had to leave a message, but I got no call back about rescheduling, which I asked for in my message.
I have called three more times to make an appointment for October, more than a month in advance, and have gotten no response. I feel that they are ignoring my phone calls.
I recommend they hire someone just to answer the phone and talk with customers, or, to at least respond to their phone calls within the same day. That way, you will keep the customers that are already interested in your business.
I do not recommend using Ted’s Carpet Cleaning. If they are this rude without them even making it to my house, how rude with they be while they are in my house?
