Oakdale Pizza Restaurant

Best Greek pizza in Wallingford. I often order pizza and it is very consistent unlike other places. I also like the owner George who really appreciates your business. And yes you may get a free bag of chips !

Awkward.
So we went here instead of Amores because they had a shrimp fra diavolo dish and seating so I wanted to try it. We grabbed drinks from the cooler and were given menus at the counter. My husband wasn’t super hungry so he just wanted a slice. Well at that time they apparently were not serving slices. So I order the shrimp fra diavolo and they are also not serving that either. So awkwardly we finish our drinks (he had a beer so couldn’t just leave with it) and scrounge up cash because they have a minimum charge for credit cards. Which they are not supposed to do according to their merchant agreement. Can’t say how the food was because we couldn’t eat it. I’ll stick to Amores…

We love coming here– we call it «George’s» instead of Oakdale Pizza because the owners are so friendly you feel like you’re going to an old friends house. The décor is waaaay outdated but they’ve been here forever. We usually stop in for grinders or pizza so I’m not sure how the other food is.
It’s a nice relaxed atmosphere– George often buys big boxes of Wise chips and gives you a few bags free chips with your order, not 100% of the time but often enough to mention it. Certainly very generous of them.
George sometimes sings while he’s making your order– tells you that he still loves what he does after all these years!
Customer service is huge for my family (even my 9 yo won’t stand for terrible service!) and this is something they do consistently well. We love to support local businesses so we will definitely continue coming here!

Finally a pizza restaurant that has consistent product and service. Pizza, grinders and service are great. Joe, one of the delivery guys in particular is awesome as are the staff that I have dealt with to date.

George and his family are so kind and hospitable. They’re food is great. Perfect neighborhood restaurant, especially if you’re looking for a grinder! They’re pizza is pan-​style, as long as you like that you’ll love the pizza! Extensive menu and they do it all really well.

The place was dirty. It took 40 minutes to get a pizza and there was no one else in the resturaunt. The owner was yelling at someone on the phone the entire time we were there. And after all that, the pizza was not very good. I would not go back there again.

The best in town if you like deep dish styled pizza! The owner and his wife are the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

The owner and family are truly customer service experts! The food is always delicious, the portions are large, and the prices are fair. Oakdale is our go-​to pizza place in town and they never disappoint. We highly recommend their pizza and boneless buffalo wings!

My family has been ordering from Oakdale for years. The quality has remained consistently excellent. They produce some of the best pizza in a part of the country that I think produces the best pizza anywhere — so that’s saying something.
