Athleta

I’m a fan of Athleta and was happy to see its arrival in Broadway Plaza last year at a temporary location. With all the musical chairs of stores at the center, it has since relocated to what I believe is its permanent location, in the newly remodeled strip. This updated location is way larger and has a pretty robust selection. After Christmas they were having an extra 20% off sale and the sale racks had a good variety of sizes and styles. I like Athleta because their clothing is quality but not outrageously expensive. They feature practical but cute work out clothes that fit well and hold up great over time and washings.
Their spacious lay out, friendly staff and board of community activities (runs, seminars, yoga,) offered will keep me coming back. I was just browsing this past trip in but can see coming back if I’m looking for something in particular. Since Athleta is owned by GAP inc, I can see them having sales and promotions on the regular. Great addition to the ever evolving Broadway Plaza.

Just checked out the new shop location in WC, more room for sure than the pop-​up. I do love Athleta, though it runs a bit pricey. Sales are always nice. I find it better for me to order online to get the petite length too. But I did find a nice pair of their stretch drifter tight with zippered pockets that I love for travel in black, that weren’t too long on me. Also it’s nice to see in person new things and sometimes just try it on for fit. All the salespeople and very friendly and helpful.

Went in to shop, but the music in the store was so loud that I had to leave. It was not relaxing in the least bit and my daughter and I could barely hear each other. I shop at the Emeryville Athleta frequently and don’t experience this there.

I don’t live in Walnut Creek, but the online store was sold out of the swim shorts I wanted. The only store nearish to me was this one, but I didn’t have time to make it. I called and they offered to ship the shorts to me for free. The whole conversation took less than 5 min, and I will have the shorts in a few days. Perfect. :)

Cute stuff and really nice service. I tried (and tried) many items on, but still left empty-​handed. I am determined to like the fit of something there so I can make a purchase soon. In the meantime, it’s in the rotation.

Love the clothes and love the store. Everyone that works there was so helpful. I washed a shirt with my towels and it was destroyed. I called them and told them what happened and was told to bring it back. I did and it was exchanged for a new one. No issues and the quality of clothing is phenomenal. The only draw back is shipping can sometimes take longer than expected

I love Athleta and the quality of their clothing. This location is very tiny compared to their other locations. I had to deduct a star for POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. It’s unacceptable to have customers waiting outside on a cold day, 5 mins past opening! I could clearly see workers walking around and talking! When the lady with the short/​spikey hair answered the door, I asked her, «Do you open at 11?» Her response was «Yes», no apology offered for keeping customers waiting. Arrogant employees can be a huge downfall for business.
