Chang S Ming, MD

I have two girls, and we have been with Dr. Chang for 11 years. He is an excellent physician. It’s fairly easy to get an appointment with him within a day or two. He has emergency appointment hours, so in when I have needed to come in the same day, it has not been an issue. I think he’s been pretty good in terms of routine care and dealing with allergy issues. I also think he is reasonably conservative when prescribing antibiotics. For example, when I questioned whether it would be OK to wait a day or two to see how an illness progressed before putting my daughter on antibiotics, he told me what he thought and gave me information about the options. (I opted to wait.) His office manager isn’t the most outwardly warm and inviting person, but she is competent.

Dr. Chang is a great, great Dr! My kids love him. We have been to his office for about 5 years. He is patient, nice, professional, and very good with kids. He always takes time to chat with my kids. He can speak Mandarin is a huge plus!
Dr. Change should get 5 stars, the reason I gave him 4 star is because his reception lady. She didn’t even want to speak up when calling parents to take their children into the checking room. very unfriend and cold. Totally opposite to Dr. Chang. I totally wish Dr. Chang could find another reception staff who is as nice as him. His reception lady is extremely terrible!!!

Been with Dr Chang for 13 years I have 3 children. I have to say he is one of the best Dr I have known in my life. Love his ways of treating children. My kids love going there. They have such no problem that they have a minor cut they want to go see Dr Chang. It’s funny what kid wants to go to the Dr. I will never see another Dr for my children even. I only wish he can treat me. When my kids go and get there flu shot he even gets me one so I don’t have to go and make to trips to the Dr. Love love him.

We have been having Dr. S. Ming Chang as our family pediatrician for 15 years. All our 3 children like him very much and don’t want to change this doctor even after 2 of them have gotten to the college age now. In case of emergency, no matter if it is a weekend, holiday or night time, we can call his office phone number and a special service connects us with Dr. Chang for consultation. All people, whom we recommended this doctor, were happy and thankful to us for the referral. We are just very lucky to have found such a great pediatrician! Sincerely and wholeheartedly recommended!

I wish I could make this a ten star rating. Our daughter began experiencing very unusual symptoms about a year ago. In the end, Dr. Chang’s research and help in getting us to the right folks at Stanford when we were getting no where with local specialists ended up in our daughter finally getting a diagnosis and surgery for a very rare and difficult to diagnose condition. She had surgery in July, everything was fixed and she is doing great.

Great doctor, I went to him as a child and now my son goes to him.
