We had them cater sandwiches for us today and everything was great. Erica was amazing she got my order to me exactly at 10:45am and set up with a smile on her face.

I’ve grown up eating Kinder’s BBQ so when we needed an easy catering option for a family party last weekend, Kinder’s was at the top of our list. The food was excellent as usual and plentiful because we ordered the 3 meat option. Bryce recommended we opt for the pulled pork instead of the chicken and he was right — the pulled pork may be my new favorite at Kinder’s! If you’re ordering the 3 meat and don’t want a ton of leftovers, I would recommend cutting a couple off of your headcount when you order because there really is a ton of food! Thanks, Bryce and Kinder’s for another great meal!

I just had the most amazing Brisket sandwich and Brown sugar tater tots ever! Erika had amazing customer service. And I appreciate that she recommended the tater tots to go along with my sandwich. She is a asset to this restaurant with her upbeat personality and welcoming smile. I will be returning again! Thank you Erika!

There isn’t enough stars for this place! One of my favorite places for a quick lunch Or dinner. Fresh meat everyday! If you are planning a BBQ or tailgate party this is the place to go to buy your meat. Ben the manager is great he works within your budget and gives great feedback so you don’t over order. I can’t say enough about this place. Kinders is Quality!

I really like Kinder’s. The first I had it was at a bank’s client event and they had rotisserie chicken, briskets and ball tip sandwiches. Their BBQ sauce is tangy and sweet. If you actually eat at the restaurant, your sandwich comes with a free soda too. We also checked in on Unilocal and got a free side of Mac and Cheese or Potato Salad. The ball tip sandwich is pretty delicious especially with their BBQ sauce. The only complaint I have is they do not have hot sauce available to customers. You have to purchase a bottle.

I don’t understand how anybody could give Kinder’s less than five stars… it is barbecue perfected! Their sandwiches are amazing, their ribs are outstanding, and their mac and cheese is the best in the county!

Nom nom BBQ. Really enjoyed the ball tips. Links and ribs were okay but the ball tips were to die for.

There was a Kinder’s in Pleasanton for a long time. I had only been in there once. I’ve been working in Walnut Creek every so often and Kinder’s is in the same shopping center as where I work. One day, I was having a hard time deciding where to eat. I asked my co-worker what she suggested I have for lunch. She said Kinder’s…so I went with it. When you walk in, they have an area for people just ordering and then a line for phone orders/pick up. I’ve never been there when it’s been super busy, but I’m sure they do get very busy at times. The first time I went there, I ordered the chicken breast sandwich. Something along the lines of like a California club. The only thing they didn’t have was avocado, which wasn’t a deal breaker for me. He asked if I would like a side, which I chose the beans and macaroni salad. The sandwich was okay, the chicken a little dry for my liking. Beans were okay, I probably wouldn’t get them again, macaroni salad was good. I came here again for lunch with my boyfriend. This time, it was during the weekday when they have lunch specials. I’m not sure if they have these during the weekend. My boyfriend got the tri tip sandwich and I got the prime rib sandwich. O M G… my prime rib sandwich was SO good! This is what I should have ordered before. But on my next visit I found out… That prime rib sandwiches are only available on certain days =[ bummer. So I went with the ball tip sandwich, which is a popular tri tip sandwich for them. I ordered it with french fries, that came with some nifty dipping sauce. The fries is where it’s at. I couldn’t finish my sandwich and the fries, but I would order both again. They are SO good! I’m excited to work im Walnut Creek again on Sunday so I can get my Kinder’s fix.

Food is excellent. Can’t beat the ball tip. But don’t be in any kind of hurry, no matter what time of day. Service is slow. Even worse, the woman making my order stopped to deal with a phone order …

Attention people of Earth: The best burger on this planet is at Kinder’s. I had the California Burger last night and it was the best burger I’ve ever had. This double-decker monster was so good that I wanted to got back and get another one. The rest of the fam had other items. Kinder’s is consistently great. The staff was friendly & fun. Bravo Kinder’s!

All of the staff are really friendly, but their menu is a little tricky to navigate. I saw that they have some mac & cheese with bacon, but I couldn’t find the price. I could have asked, but I wasn’t in the mood to be that cheesy. Instead, I had their California Club for lunch and I was blown away! The chicken is well prepared and generous, the bacon is thick and crispy, and there’s just the right amount of avocado. One catch: I’m so glad that someone gave me a hefty gift card because the prices are exceptional. One piece of chicken is almost $ 4 and they have a chocolate caramel apple for almost $ 25. How in the world can you sell an apple for $ 25?! I really want to get it, just because I feel like it should make my eyes rolls back. Overall, the Chicken Club is amazing for $ 11(no sides or drink), but its on the pricey side and they sell apples for $ 25 each.(Let me try your apple if you buy one!)

This place is AWESOME! Bathroom was clean(hooray!) Service was outstanding. Food was delicious. I absolutely love the ball tip sandwich. Always juicy, bbq sauce is perfectly added, bread is fresh. Plus it comes with a drink so that makes it even better! Fannnnntastic! Next to us were these incorrigible patrons that really need a lesson in outside behavior. Listening to them complain about their food was absolutely ridiculous. They complained about cold food, yet we clearly heard their food being called several times(we knew it was theirs because they were directly after us in line.) They were complaining so much that they were ruining our experience. This poor guy came over,(I later found out he was the manager and his name was Brandon), he had to deal with these people. He was very polite and did everything he could to help them even though, in my opinion they deserved nothing. 3 cheers for this Kinder’s and 3 cheers for Brandon for being a professional young manager with more tact than the selfish 50 year old witch he had to deal with.

The chicken is overlooked and tough. Come early if you have trouble chewing. Beans are very tasty. Potato salad nice and dill taste is wonderful. The prices on Unilocal are old. Add 30%.

Walked in and was immediately greeted by a smiling very handsome face. I can’t exactly recall his words I was too in aww over his beautiful baby blues. Not only was he incredibly handsome but his energy was contagious. I had just come from a stressful presentation and was pretty drained but his fun bubbly personality helped build my energy back up. Sooo thank you Brandon… I’ve never eaten here before and I’m not a big fan of beef so Brandon recommend a bbq chicken sandwich that came wt avocado and plenty of delicious toppings. I tried sooo very hard to only eat half my sandwich but it was just too hard to resist. Loved the bbq sauce and was excited to find out that I can pick up my very own bottle of this liquid goodness at my local safeway! Food was made to order and hand delivered by Brandon. My order was completed quickly and tasted amazing. In summary this was a fabulous experience… starting wt Brandon and his dynamic energy, quick delivery of my order, and ending wt amazing taste. Would highly recommend this deli /bbq joint!

I was super excited to try Kinders after hearing raving reviews from friends in Walnut Creek, but it really did not live up to the hype for me. The Tri tip sandwich was tasty, though I wish it had more of the BBQ sauce or flavor altogether. I also think they could improve their bread to better baguettes or toasted bread instead of the thin slices of sub sandwich bread. I enjoyed their tequila lime sweet potato fries! Mainly for the sweet potatoes though, because I couldn’t really taste the flavor of the tequila lime either. I think the main thing that turned me off to this restaurant was the store conditions. It was very small(a few tables inside, a few tables outside), and very stuffy. Maybe it was just too hot that day, but they had little AC or air circulation. And their tables were sticky, VERYSTICKY. I liked how much meat they put on the sandwich, but there’s definitely a lot that could be improved here. I might just buy the BBQ sauce separately too, and make my own sandwich. If you do come, get the combo so you can try the fries too!(Combo deal with Unilocal checkin!)

I would give them between 3 – 4 stars. I tried Kinder’s for the first time yesterday. First, as a newcomer, I think the whole process of ordering/paying could be more organized and less confusing. There’s a sign that directs people where to go, one side for phone orders and then the other for walk-ins, but it’s still confusing where to stand, because it takes a while before an employee notices/walks over to the counter to take your order. After ordering, it’s also confusing where to wait, because the waiting space is a mix of the phone order + walk in customers. And paying. Apparently the person who took your order is supposed to be in charge of payment for you. Although now I understand how to order things at Kinder’s, it’s definitely not a system I am used to and it seems hectic to me. I ordered their ball tip sandwich and tequila lime fries. The sandwich(+free drink included) is around $ 9-$ 10, which seems a bit pricey, but the sandwich is amazing for a sandwich. They put in enough meat so you don’t run out of meat on either end of the sandwich. It’s moist in every bite and the sandwich doesn’t fall apart as you eat it. Kinder’s BBQ sauce is also amazing. It’s honestly probably one of my favorite BBQ sauces I’ve ever had and this is coming from a fanatic. The fries were okay. They were slightly spicy, but I could not taste the tequila or lime. It tasted more like cajun fries, but not with so much spice. Overall, I really enjoyed my sandwich and BBQ sauce, but not so much the service.

I’ve been going to kinders since I was in high school. I always order the classic ball tip sandwich which I promise won’t disappoint you. The meat is perfectly cooked and very moist and perfect. Their BBQ sauce takes it over the top. Recently, I’ve been getting the spicy ball tip or a regular one with extra hot BBQ sauce. Beware though, this is not for anyone to just try, you must be into spicy things or else you are going to be sweating and possibly crying from the heat that’s packed in the sauce! Even though it’s spicy it brings a little extra kick to the sandwich that I just love. Their french fries are a great side to add with the sandwich as well. Side note: I bought a few of their dry rubs to put on meats when I cook and they are awesome! I suggest buying one to try out and see for yourself.

This is a great location! I go here once a month or so for lunch during the work week. They’re always clean and calling in orders is so convenient for me! I love their food, especially the ball tip sandwich. This time I ventured and tried their two meat combo meal. I chose ribs and chicken and the sides are standard beans and potato salad. My personal preference for BBQ beans is that they taste like BBQ beans, not chili, which almost all BBQ places serve as their BBQ beans. Their potato salad was good, too! The potatoes were a little crunchy, though. :( Ribs were moist and delicious! Chicken, not so much. It was a great price for as much food as you get though. It can feed 2 people easily. Still love the place!

Oh Kinder’s you never do me wrong. The second you take a step into any Kinder’s you are hit with that smell of just amazing barbecue. I had to glance at the menu for maybe… two seconds before I decided what I want. What I always get. The Kinder’s Burger. Two flavorful beef patties, with lettuce, tomato and your choice of cheese(Pepper Jack being mine). The burger is simply amazing. The burger’s are juicy, the seasoning is phenomenal and add the pepper jack and watch me be in burger heaven. It’s going to be my number one choice every time we come to a Kinder’s. I go with the combo, getting the potato salad and beans. The potato salad is good. When you can taste the potato over the mayonnaise, their doing a good job. The beans are so so soooo good. When you come to Kinder’s, you must order the beans. They come in a small cup, and topped with Cheddar cheese. Flavorful doesn’t begin to describe them. GETTHEM.
