This place is a hidden treasure. They have lovely goods from Paris that range from hand milled soaps to Herbs de Provence to french country printed aprons, placemats, soap dishes, etc. They also have beautiful, unique jewelry. One of my favorite items is the french milled soaps. They come in a variety of sizes, scents and shapes. They package each of the soaps with a sprinkling of fresh lavender and make a wonderful gift or treat to leave out for guests when they stay at my home. I recently went there to get lavender to make a lavender and rosemary infused vodka which tasted delicious and turned a beautiful pink hue. So fun! Definitely make it a point to stop by here. And while you are there pop by The Wax Parlor next door for the best eyebrow shaping you have ever had.

New Owners, same place, same incredible imported soaps. It is called«Decors de France«now. Actually, they have quite a lot more and it is like taking a trip to the south of France! Very nice people, speak french if you want and bring home something for you or a little gift for someone! Porcelain soap dishes and linens are really great! I got a couple of napkins, should have gotten more! I’ll go back soon!

Great presents for friends, family or partners… to bring a delicate touch of French culture and smell. Thanks for bringing these gorgeous products to Walnut Creek.

Cute little fragranced store in the Broadway Plaza mall. They sell soaps, and cute little nicknacks. I always impulsively spend money here. Oh and they have a pony door. CUTE!

Just lovely! This little soap shop offers great hostess gifts and other quality items. They always have warm and welcoming staff and great service. Their prices are high, but I’m happy to support a small business and pay a little extra. You’ll know it by the unmistakable waft of lavender and french soaps near the back entrance of nordstrom’s… ahhh

Cute store for gifts and soaps. They have cards with dried flowers that I get for my mom. Also mini objects made out of clay so if your child has a doll house here’s the place to come. I’ve always wanted to buy one of the pendents on a ribbon, but they’re pretty expensive. I do buy ribbon for hair ties and suitcase tags though, they have/had a nice array. It’s a small shop, kinda bull in a china shop sorta feel to it. They used to have one kinda crazy woman working there who would follow you around literally 2 inches away and talk to you the entire time you were in the shop. I’m pretty sure she’s gone, but woah…

I am an absolute whore for sweet smelling french soaps and bath products. Love them love them love them!!! La Lavande not only has a plethora of nicely scented soaps(which they will package up in a little cello bag with a scoop of rose potpourri for you — nice), they also carry linens, french antiques and dishes as well. Kind of a bath and kitchen heaven heavily coated in ‘Eau de Provence’. The selection of dishes can be quite lovely and the offerings include perfume, jewelry, all kinds of things to make you open your wallet and spend too much. I’ve found several presents here, and most of them actually make it into the hands for which they were intended. Most of them. I make no excuses for the big basket of soaps back home.
