My experience with Dr. Mazolewski was great. I had a breast biopsy done at John Muir for two suspicious lesions. Both came back benign, so I never actually needed surgery, but Dr. Mazolewski was wonderful. Explained everything to me in a very clear manner, took the time to answer my questions, and was quite reassuring. I would totally recommend this surgeon to anyone who is going through something very stressful!

Jennifer C. I am very sorry you had such a bad experience with Dr. Peter Mazolewski. Last thursday I had a surgery done by him at the JMMC in Walnut Creek and I have nothing but good things to say about him and the whole experience. Even when I went to see him the first time, I did however had to wait for a long time but once I got in he was very nice and explained everything very clearly. The surgery was an out-​patient procedure and he took a lump from my breast. Not the first time I had this done so I knew what to expect. I also had a biopsy done about a month before the surgery, the kind where they only take a little piece of the lump with a gun-​like tool that sucks in instead of blowing out, and the experience was also good. Again, it was done by a JMMC clinic so the staff and the actual procedure were not a bad experience considering the pain involved. The whole thing was very professional and clean. I am wondering if maybe the experience is based on the type of insurance although it should not matter. I hate to think your experience was so bad especially since mine was not. I was back to work yesterday and every day I feel better, and yes, there is pain and I’m uncomfortable but like I said, I have gone through this before. I hope you are doing well and forgive me for saying this but I do highly recommend this guy.

Do not recommend! Doctor was an hour late. The assistant did not use gloves. Operation room was not clean, meaning there were dirty scissors in the sink. Ugh! What an awful experience during a stressful situation.
