Hard to really review a Subway but the woman who made my sandwich last time I went here was one of the nicest fast food employees I’ve dealt with. It was worth writing a review and mention. If undercover boss ever came to this subway I think she’d get a promotion and raise. Hell just let her have the store.

UPDATE1÷31÷16: Watch the clock if you go to this location. Depending on who is working, they will close five to ten minutes early. Presumably so they can clean up and get out faster? I tried to go there last week with about five minutes to spare, and the girl wouldn’t open the door. She looked at me, then pointed at her watch. I held up my phone, indicating it wasn’t 9:00 yet. She just shrugged and went back to cleaning. I always thought that closing time is when you lock up, not beforehand so you can LEAVE at closing time. I used to be a server, and that’s how it was. Guess not at this spot. We now go to a different location, over near PH Bart, or Oak Grove Road. Only an extra couple minutes to get there, and the hours are better at both. This is a franchise, owners want to make money, you shouldn’t short-change customers, especially a regular.

Terrible service. The woman told us that she could make a large sub over the phone then we walked over and her story totally changed. She told us 30 min and we were welcome to wait. She waisted our time. we are here for 2 months and were going to set up a daily pick up. Now I’m walking back to our site and telling everyone she’s dishonest and to go somewhere else. The woman appeared to be the owner, she should hire someone with better customer service skills.

I don’t know why people have given this particular Subway bad reviews all the time. Every single time I have gone in I have been satisfied. The one person who keeps this placertain well run, to me, is the manager. He knows the true meaning of customer service. I have never had any problems with him and he is always friendly and in a food mood when I walk in. I work around the corner so I frequent this place a lot. While the other reviews are true in saying that the employees would rather be somewhere else, they don’t include this man. I will go here and keep going here for lunch as this is the best Subway that I have been to yet.

Went here today to grab sandwiches for the ride out of town. Employess are hard to understand due to their heavy accent. They don’t ask you what you’d like on your sandwich. They just stare at you. Other than that the sandwiches were good.

Keep on driving. Walnut Creek seems to have a trend of poor service in fast food locations and this Subway location is no exception. After many a visit I can say it’s not one time thing. I would suggest driving to Almo if you really need to get your Subway grub on. My last visit I had to ask the employee who was cleaning the floors and talking on the cell if the call was going to last much longer since you really don’t go into a place to eat to listen to a employee talk on the phone. He took the hint and got off the phone but when you have to ask that tells me they just don’t understand customer service.

I’m not sure why this Subway has such negative ratings. This is the closest Subway to me so I go here often, and every time, I’ve had a positive experience(even told them that once). I’m taking time to write this because out of all the Subways I’ve been too, this one has the friendliest employees. One girl who works here who has an [Russian?] accent is actually very hard working and sweet. I don’t know her name but I always see her actively cleaning the tables or counter, and jumping in to make sandwiches if multiple people walk in at once. I’ve witnessed a handful of high maintenance customers and each time these employees always handled it very well.(For the record, there is no reason to speak to these employees as if they owe you something… you are at Subway, getting a sandwich made. It’s not the end of the world.) Many times I just wanted to laugh at the demands people had. But my point in saying this is that the employees always stayed professional. I give this subway a lot of credit. They have good, friendly employees, fresh product, and they are never crazy busy. I’ve gone at many different times of day, never have I had a super long wait.

Just picked up a sandwhich here and the lady behind the counter named Samira has perhaps the worsr customer service skills I have seen at this Subway. After making an unappetizing looking sandwhich, she gave me attitude after making my order incorrectly. I will not be coming back to this Subway.

Avoid this Subway! Avoid this Subway! The woman at the counter is a jerk. She is ethnic, perhaps Russian, hard to tell, just for reference in case you are wondering if the same person has given you a crap experience. She hates you for coming in to order a sandwich in an otherwise empty store. your customized order frustrates her. every time you ask for something on your sandwich she gives this nasty scowl that makes it obvious that she is not taking her psych meds. Our sandwiches were made poorly. She heated my veggie patty in the microwave without using a plate or napkin or any barrier against the likely dirty surface. My girlfriend ordered a veggie sandwich and it had less veggies than my other sandwich, a BMT which is half meat! we should have walked out, but guess what, we are never going back, and you should never ever go there!

I eat here a couple of times a week. Their ingredients are the freshest, they have a very friendly staff and they make terrific sandwiches. For the money, you can’t beat it. Highly recommended.

I can’t really say too much about the food, because it’s Subway and pretty much everyone knows what to expect. I will however say this locations service sucks. There’s a Russian woman that runs the counter and is always on the phone. And, then she has a really bad attitude when you disturb her to buy a sandwich. I’ve been here a few times it’s always the same way. I know it’s subway and I’m not expecting top notch service, but I am expecting to not have to wait 5 minutes for some woman to get off the phone and then get all pissed off because I’m interrupting her.

This place has the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. They skimp on everything then when you call them out about it, they give you a nasty attitude. Dealing with their bullsh*t is definitely not worth the soggy, empty sandwich. Do yourself a favor and just go a little further down the road to Ike’s; the food cost more but it’s soooo worth it, and the staff is awesome.

New Owners as of this month! They are very nice… I’ve been to many Subway locations in the WC/PH/Concord area. This is the closest to my house and also the one I frequent most. I’ve always had great service here. Honestly there is little difference between most of them and I’ve always been happy with Subway. Not sure what is up with the negative reviews for this location, but I go here at least 2 times a week and have never had a problem here. Large free lot for parking(unlike the nightmare trying to find a space near the Locust location).

First, I don’t mind accents but it would be nice if the sandwich maker spoke ENGLISH! Especially in Walnut Creek! She also spoke in a whisper so I had to ask her to repeat EVERY question several times. Ive stopped for a quick sandwich here 3 times in the past few years and either I got the same server or they are all this way! In addition, the music is too loud on the wall behind customers ordering, which makes the communication even worse. I’m not sure how many cheese slices are supposed to be in a «foot long» but 4 seemed skimpy. I found it very strange that she put my sandwich by the register and took the next guys order and made his sandwich while I stood there for several minutes. It looked like it had to do with not having to take her gloves off too many times. Only one server/cashier at 11:30. There seemed to be at least one other guy in back, maybe two, it seems to me that customer service should be top of their list of chores! I read some great reviews of the Subway across town on Locust, I will stop there from now on! Must not be the same owner.

This place is disgusting. I cannot believe that some people prefer this place to Quizno’s. This Subway is hot, dirty and the staff is about as unfriendly a bunch of people I’ve ever met in the same place. The day I ate here, they also had 6 people making sandwiches. I had 6 different people touch my food! Why??? Is that really necessary? My food was even bad. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and most of the pastrami was just fat. I won’t eat here again.

You can find me here when I’m not frequenting Lettuce or Tender Greens. You know, days that I’m feeling lazy. Subway, way better than a Quiznos(in my opinion), but not as good as an actual real deli. This location has the usual Subway sandwich that I tend to crave(veggie), and it’s location can’t be beat, as it’s literally steps away from where I work. With that, you can guess(notice my «check-ins») how often I frequent this place. Service here is friendly. I have one particular fav Subway employee(I think he’s the manager, as he always seems to be around) who remembers what I like to order. Sandwiches are ready quickly. Plus, it doesn’t seem to get too packed during my meal breaks, despite it’s convenient location.

I’ve been here twice, neither time was outstanding. Employees are robots but I’m assuming it’s because they’re all about how fast they can get you out of their face. Last week I came in for breakfast, there was one person in front of me. It was weird but the one employee basically took our orders at the same time and helped us at the same time. I kind of wish I could have just waited but whatever I think she just wanted to get us both of out there asap. I actually really liked my subway sunrise melt on flat bread. It was the first time I had ever had something like it and I was surprisingly satisfied with it despite the experience picking it up. I guess when I come back for another, I just will expect to get no smile and a cheap breakfast.

Terrible subway. Employee seemed to want to be anywhere else. Made a terrible turkey sandwich. How hard is it? Dirty bathrooms. And the cucumbers had all types of questionable things on them. Gross. Will not go back.

I tend to hit up this Subway pretty frequently for the same sandwich every week, sometmes every day. What can I say, I’m a creature of habit. PROS: It’s subway. It’s not terrible, especially if you like Subway. They make the sandwiches the same as every other Subway out there. CONS: The staff. Okay, ONE single staff member. I’m not sure his name but he is about mid Twenties to early Thirties, brown hair, kinda short. I walked in one day and the store was empty. No one was behind the counter so I just waited a minute… a minute turned to 3… finally, I said Hello? No response… a minute passed then finally he walked out, no apology, and still FLIRTING with his coworker who looked like she was busy in the back room actually working. He barely talked to me while making my sandwich and instead focused on her!!! Ok, I get it, this is your only opportunity, but you aren’t getting paid to talk to your coworkers. HELPTHECUSTOMER. The sandwich was still the same, I was just annoyed at the treatment. It seems to be just him though, the rest of the staff is generally courteous and helpful. Whenever I go in to order and he takes me sammich order, I give him a mean mug. He never even notices because he doesn’t pay attention to customers. Go figure. Anyways, I still give this place 4 stars because I’m not at Subway to chill for a nice candlelight dinner. Just grab the sandwich and bail.
