Cracked iPhone 5S screen– Jason came to my house today, a Saturday afternoon, to replace my cracked iPhone 5S screen. It was dropped a few feet onto concrete last evening. He was pleasant and professional. Within a half hour or so I had my phone back in working order without needing to deal with the Genius Bar at apple. For $ 129– this was terrific service and decreased my stress level enormously. Thank you Jason. I highly recommend his service.

Sketchy. Beware of this place. Classic Scam of over priced quote, resulting in more cost then the TV originally cost new. Then they offer to recycle your TV for free! Scam Alert!

Jason and company helped repair my Optoma projector. I thought it was the lamp igniter and that the projector would be toast. But lucky me Jason called after they diagnosed it as a color wheel replacement. It took awhile to get the component from china and not a a used one. Some places sell used only? The time it took to get the projector back was a bit of a stretch but the quality and service was very good. Glad they are here to help us videophiles.

Jason came out to my house because I had audio but no video on my flat screen TV on either my cable input or my DVD input or my Apple TV input. I have a fancy system with lots of inputs and lots of things to go wrong. Jason patiently worked through all the possibilities, starting with the simplest. Turns out there was nothing wrong with my TV at all. My video input wires had become twisted in my complicated cabinet. He untangled all and tested it and it was all working by the time he left. I am very grateful for his expertise. Thanks, Jason!

Jason is great! I brought in a projected that needed repair. He told me he would check it out and let me know. He was 100% honest with me and told me there was nothing wrong with the projector and that the issue was likely due to a bad VGA Cable. Jason could have easily ripped me off or told me I needed a new lamp, etc. but he didn’t. He was 100% honest and up front with me. You can’t help but respect an honorable man like that. A+ for Jason and Technopia

I brought in my 52″ Sony Bravia HDTV to be looked at. The picture on the screen was scrambled badly and I was hoping to have it repaired. Jason looked at it and determined that a new LCD panel was needed. The cost for repair was unjustifiable($ 1,700 and change) but he mentioned that sometimes that problem can be repaired without purchasing a new part. He gave it a try and unfortunately it did not work. Jason spent several hours on my TV and my only cost was the initial $ 30 diagnostic charge. He also spent time with me advising which brands would be best to purchase given my TV watching habits. I appreciate the time he spent very much, and that he gave me such outstanding and knowledgable customer service.

I took my 2004 Sharp Aquos there when it stopped turning on and flashed a red light. The female co-owner was very nice on the phone and even offered to stay open a few minutes late for me to drop it off. They have a $ 30 estimate fee but it goes towards your repair costs later. They quoted me $ 200. A week later they called and said they needed more time because there was a 2nd issue that needed a part ordered, but because it would double my wait time they didn’t charge me for the labor on the 2nd problem. I was very impressed. Picked up the TV2 weeks later and so far it’s working great. They also give a 90 day guarantee on their work. I’ll definitely use them again.

A great local business. We had a very complex TV problem and this company went above and beyond to help us solve the problem and get better customer care from the manufacturer. I highly recommend them!

So, second time I’ve been to Technopia. Last time was for a sick cd changer. $ 65 later, we were good to go. This time was for a $ 2,000 high end Canon camcorder my daughter dropped and broke. Jason had it up and running for $ 165. This guy is great. One man shop and he fixes all kinds of electronics.

I have had several broken LCD monitors fixed by Technopia. They look god and work fine now. Sometimes it is easier to buy a new one, but I feel fixing the broken ones are better for the environment. The service has been always prompt and courteous.

You won’t find a better service in the area for TV/VCR/DVD, etc. Small family business with great prices. You gotta support them and keep them in business. They don’t service tube amps or preamps though.

I brought my Yamaha Preamp in for a pretty common issue of broken solder joints at the rear connections. I brought it in on a Friday and it was done by mid-afternoon on Monday. That’s pretty quick service! The cost for the repair was $ 75 total, including the $ 30 estimate that was then included in the final repair cost. That is maybe just a little bit on the high side for a fairly straight-forward soldering job, but given the quick service and the high quality of the work, I am very satisfied.

I totally into A/V and have dealt with Technopia for at least the past ten years. The owner and daughter have always been awesome in offering me prompt, usually a few days to a week, service. Don’t know anyone else who does really FREE diagnosis. Often times, when repair cost would exceed repair, they were fine with me using their written estimate so that I could get a free camera etc. replacement under my 3rd party vendor 5 year warranties. They always deserve more of my ‘paid’ business but have been there for me many times. The several actual repairs have been reasonably priced and thorough. Best repair company I have ever used bar none. And NO I am not a relative just a long time very satisfied customer.

NIce People, Bad Results I had a camcorder that needed repairing. I spent over $ 460 to get it done there. It was not aligned correctly so I took it back. It was not aligned correctly when I took it back the second time, so I tried AGAIN. In the end, it wasn’t ever fixed and cost me 460 bucks. That’s just how it is, tough luck. Gary

Very helpful, knowledgeable people. They can repair any kind of audio or video appliance – tv, vcr, dvd, and on and on. And if they can’t fix it, they’ll say so up front – perhaps after a $ 20 evaluation, or perhaps not, depending on the problem and its complexity.

They repaired my VCR. Initially, after they gave me the free estimate and I gave the go-ahead, they gave me a two-week repair timeframe. However, I was able to persuade them to fix it by the end of the week(mentioning Unilocal). They actually came in a day early on the repair. The VCR is fine and working well so far(this is on week two now). Their repairs are on the high side of the coin, but Jason and Sonia were willing to work with me on the cost. One thing: I did have to follow up with them for the estimate since they were really backed up. So if you’re in a hurry to get your components back, this might not be the place for you.
