Walnut Ridge City Park

This is the nicest spot in Walnut Ridge, especially the large cluster of trees (perhaps the only cluster of trees in this town!) It’s actually named «Stewart Park», ahem, more precisely «Stewark ark» as the «P» has fallen off the sign. (Edit– the sign is now fixed!)
Well maintained, 1.25 Mile paved walk, several baseball/​softball diamonds, 2 tennis courts, basketball court, playground, swimming pool, archery (I suppose «deer shootin’ practicin area» would be more appropriate) even a kids only fishing pond. There is also a small batting cage with mysterious hours of operation. All areas are well lighted, park closes at 10pm.
Clean, safe, closed to through traffic. Nice place to take the kids or go for a walk/ride.Bring a lot of DEET, this town is covered in mosquitos.
