Honest, friendly, easy-​going and professional. The office isn’t fancy or modern on the inside but that doesn’t matter to me. The most important thing is finding an honest dentist who won’t tell you to get a root canal when you really don’t need one.
I went to one dentist closer to my house because I had a toothache and he made it seem like my teeth were in terrible condition so I went to Dr. Chen, recommended by my BF, for a second opinion and he was very honest and straight-​forward with me. He didn’t trick me into getting more work than I needed to. He noticed some other things in my x-​ray that needed work but he said I didn’t need it at this time. The other dentist noticed the same things but said I would need to make a plan to come in regularly to get everything done.
So, even though I need to drive a little farther out, it’s worth it!

Going to the dentist is never going to be a pleasant time but Dr Chen DDS is about as painless as they come. It’s been 8 years since I’ve been going to him for cleaning. I must admit that I have tried other places between the 8 years but it wasn’t due to being unsatisfied but rather to proximity. Well, I’ve tried 4 different ones but have decided that I would rather drive an hour to see Dr Chen cause he’s that quick and painless. He does the age-​old method of distracting you with conversation when he is doing the actual cleaning.
Oh and I’ve also gotten a bridge done by him. 6 years later, everything is still perfect. Thanks doc!
