This is the worst food in Walpole two ounces mashed potatoes they should be ashamed. Chop Suey was $ 13 they give you a very small portion and was terrible. If you order a meal there you better get two just to get full if you can choke it down, quality is terrible!

Guido’s is one of my favorite secret spots in Walpole. It is your quintessential small town restaurant, filled with lots of regulars and caring employees. The service is amazing; quick, friendly, and they truly make you feel at home. They have a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes that are just as good as homemade. By far the best thing at Guido’s is their cannolis. They really are perfect way to end your dinner. My family loves to have Guido’s catering around the holidays when everyone is so busy. Even when Guido’s is packed with customers, they always provide great service and a homey environment. I would recommend Guido’s to anyone passing through Walpole.

This use to be a excellent place to eat, did take out. burger looks like it was really old. I was afraid to let my kids eat it, they gave you like 5 fries. Turkey BLT club, was the slimy deli meat. Was not very please with the food at all. The hostess, was probably the nicest part.

We were given a gift certificate so we decided to check it out. Located in a strip mall, we weren’t expecting a 5 star experience and we definitely didn’t get it. Service was pretty good, but the food was mediocre at best. Caesar salad was just a bunch of romaine lettuce tossed with some Caesar dressing and a cup of croutons on the side. No parmesan cheese. I had the veal and eggplant parm combo over penne. Pasta was overcooked. Parm was overcooked and tasteless. Hubby had the veal marsala, which was more mushrooms and pasta than veal, by a long shot. I tasted a mushroom… pretty sure it came out of a can. We didn’t bother with dessert. Bottom line, Olive Garden has better Italian. I guess we should have realized that when we saw«French style garlic bread» on the menu.

Went here on a Sunday at 2 for a late lunch. We were the only ones eating with a few at the bar. Atmosphere simple and clean. Our waitress was exceptional and did everything in her control to make up for our complaints. I liked the chicken marsala and the chicken alfredo was pretty good. Both were basic but good. Not worth the dinner prices though at lunchtime. My husband and son had chicken parm(sandwich /dinner). The chicken was very poor quality and my husband picked out so much of it that couln’t be eaten. He didnt touch the 2nd half of sub. The waitress felt so badly and asked if he wanted something else. When the first is so bad, he didn’t want to chance it, especially since the rest of us were almost done. She tried to get it removed from the bill but claimed that the bartender was unable to void it. Hmmm. Poor customer service. She sent us home with many apologies and a loaf of bread. I regret that we hadn’t searched on Unilocal prior to going there.

Never again Thieves absolute thieves in this economy; Ordered soup a Bowl and a cup to go! No Big deal right $ 2.95 a cup, $ 5.50 a Bowl. When I got home the Bowl and cup were the same size but different price. I went back the next night the explanation was(and they changed the story from the night before when I called) that there is only one size container but he puts a little less in for a cup? WTF! Charging people $ 2.50 more and putting about a couple of spponfuls of broth in and calling it a Bowl? No Thanks with Conrad’s open down the street now this Thief will not get my business again. Nor will he get my Business’s patronage at his other location down the street in Norfolk. Shame. Thank God for Unilocal to Reward business and expose Thieves and Charlatans like Guido’s.

Growing up in an Italian family we aren’t very easy to please when it comes to Italian food but Guido’s is it for us. Everyone loves it. The menu is expansive and there are always specials to choose from too. Meals come with soup or a salad and the soups are excellent. They are all home made. I enjoy the house dressing which too is home made. The staff is great and very friendly. The atmosphere is very casual and simple(as Marc H mentions it is in a strip mall) but to us the food can’t be beat!

The place doesn’t look like much from the outside(but then again, what restaurant within a shopping center does?), and the interior isn’t a whole lot nicer, but Guido’s is a very good place for old-fashioned Southern Italian food. I’ve tried a number of dishes at Guido’s, with most of them being quite impressive. The antipasto is excellent, with all kinds of meats and veggies included, while the baked haddock is perfectly moist and flaky, and the chicken lemone gets a nice earthy taste from the artichokes. Not quite as good are the watery – though flavorful – clam chowder and the doughy thin-crust pizza. Prices are good and the people who work there are very nice. While not quite a destination spot, Guido’s is a family-friendly place that serves good, solid food, and should certainly be considered if you like Italian food and are in the area.

I’m not a big fan of this place, but my mom seems to love it. The staff is excellent — very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. I give them 5 stars for service. Food. Their marinara sauce isn’t that great, very boring. you will need to add sprinkle cheese for flavor. Their servings are huge. huge. The veal parm is my favorite thing on their menu. Second is the chicken parm. The food isn’t bad, it’s the bland sauce and the prices of dinner that I knock it down to 3 stars. Price: Their lunch prices are very reasonable. Their dinner prices are absolutely sky high for the atmosphere of the place. $ 18.95 for veal parm here? Please. you can get an excellent veal parm for $ 14 at 204 Washington — AND get a nice ambiance at the same time.
