Copper House Tavern

Food is good but service a little lacking. Granted we were a party of 9, but ate my entire meal before waiter came around to refill my drink.

My husband and i went here for dinner tonight. We had excellent service and the food was ok. I would go back but i wouldn’t rush back. Nothing stands out about the Copper House Tavern.

Great place for lunch during the workday due t it’s extremely quick service and a large enough menu to make sure everyone finds something they like. It’s also very close to my office which makes it convenient (I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here). The salmon salad was delicious and the perfect size.

First thing you notice when you arrive is how loud it is. Next is the service. Ordered a cheeseburger. They give you a little tin of ketchup. I asked for more ketchup. Never showed up. The burger was only average at best. (McDonald’s actually has better burger!) I also now have heartburn, which is really why I writing this review. Ton’s of local businesses around explains why this place is usually packed. Did I say it was loud? Did I mention poor service? I would also like to see more women bar staff instead of all the men… just sayin.

Went to a business lunch today. Ordered Hong Kong Noodle. The description says contains variety of vegetables, unfortunately they are only two kinds of canned vegetables. The taste is typical cheap Chinese take out. very disappointed. Food from other people at my table doesn’t look good either.

So disappointed in the food! My brother and his wife drove from the south shore based on our recomendation. I had the short ribs which were basically string meat with bottled meat sauce in top. I also ordered a
Caesar salad which was small pieces of white lettuce with no dressing served in a soup bowl.

Knowing that this restaurant was situated below a Best Western hotel, I didn’t have extremely high expectations. The food exceeded (just a little bit) my expectations, but the service fell way short. It’s typical pub fare: burgers, salads, nachos, etc. Everything was cooked properly and presented nicely. But it was very average. The service was pretty bad. Our waitress spent more time chatting at the hostess desk than making sure we had everything we needed. At one point we had to call the attention of a nearby waitress to assist us. With attentive waitstaff, this restaurant could easily earn four stars.

This place has a great staff of people, very friendly and knowledgeable about the 40 beers they have on draft. The food was great also.

I was traveling to the area for the first time on business, and this place was suggested by a few friends and co-​workers. I’m glad I listened. Don’t let the fact that’s in a Best Western deter you from going. The peach habanero chicken wings were my favorite thing that I ate there. They have a crazy amount of beer on tap and a solid bar — both features I really appreciate. I also had the steak with mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes and was actually cooked perfect medium rare as per my request. I hate when a place asks you how you want something cooked and then give it to you any old which way they feel like — you don’t have to worry about that there. The steak was very well seasoned and surprisingly tender. The server was excellent — just the right amount of attentiveness. Pull up a seat and have something — Salute

Definitely can get packed during the work week lunch hour, but there’s a ton of space so walk ins are typically not an issue for a small party. Patio is also a good seating area when the weather is nice!

I want to start off by saying the food was actually great — a fun menu and lots of great beers to choose from. I especially like they offer special beer flights at a reasonable price. Our main waitress was also good.
The reason why I am giving a restaurant with such potential only one star is because of the poor treatment our group received by the bartending staff. After spending a decent amount of money on drinks, apps and food for four people — over a 3.5 hour span, we were informed that last call was at 12:00. After having enough to drink, we passed on placing a bar order. But about 30 minutes later, we asked for four waters before heading out. We were told they were actually shutting down for the night and we did not receive waters. Within two minutes, a bartender approached our table and told us they were closing for the night and we needed to leave — regardless of a full bar currently seated.
We mentioned the fact that their bar was advertised as being open until later, to which we were told «we can close when we want!»
We felt disrespected and as if we were being thrown out, while everyone seated at the bar got to stick around and proceed with their night.
Needless to say, we will not back and be sure to mention to others the disrespect we received when we were just trying to have a nice, low key night out.

This place has a great beer selection and decent food. Good for dinner, or just for grabbing a beer at the bar after work.

Been coming here for years, but this place has gone downhill. Very young staff, filthy floor, bar, rowdy swearing customers… bartenders doing nothing to keep the place a classy joint. I just had to tell a bartender to pay attention to what was going on, as a very noise, smashed kid who was dropping major f’bombs full throat. Then when I asked him to go over and ask the guy to pipe down, he told the kid that ‘some guy over there’ was complaining and to keep it down. Not a good way to handle that!!! So the kid comes over and starts talking to people right next to me saying…“yeah some guy over here …”. I got a take-​out box for the rest of their signature meal, the lobster pie. Not going to this place again. Total Masshole scene, especially when the after work crowd rolls in.

What do you call three little shrimp rolled up with common supermarket clamshell mesclun mix and goat cheese in a tortilla? Copper House calls it a Spicy Thai Shrimp Wrap. I definitely don’t call it Thai. Gross is more like it. The supposed peanut sauce was a nasty, gummy combination of peanut butter and what may have been mayo. At $ 13 it was a skimpy, unappetizing concoction. My friend had the Turkey Club Salad special; a deconstructed riff on the classic sandwich. Presentation was a mess of greens, avocado and some other things with two miniscule, gristly slices of turkey breast — skin on — dropped on top. The Copper House Tavern kitchen has no concept of presentation.
This was by far the worst meal out I have had in a long time.
Besides the lousy food, service was seriously off. We knew that there were «10 for $ 10» lunch specials from looking at the website in advance, but the hostess did not bring that menu to the table along with the regular menu. Maybe management encourages them to «forget» them. When we asked a passing waitress about it she returned with one menu for both of us to share. Our waiter forgot to bring water — twice. My friend got a plain iced tea even though he ordered and Arnold Palmer. When he pointed this out to the waiter, the waiter responded, «Oh, yeah. Right.» The waiter never checked on us after our meals were served. And he dropped off the check while we were still eating, saying «here you go guys.»
The only redeeming quality is a phenomenal list of draft beer, including three German Hefeweizen when I was in. Julius Echter on tap is a rare find in these parts. Too bad the well-​considered beer list is obscured by small portions of bad food and unprofessional service. No way I’m going back for anything other than a beer.

Decent beer list — okay food. I really want to give it 3.5 stars.
The house Chilean tenders are great. Stay away from the pot pie.
The food is about what you get at a place like this. Nothing original but it is consistent.
Although I have not had them the burgers look great.

Who knew a restaurant in the best western could be this good! Salmon salad was fresh and yummy. Fish cooked perfectly. Friend had a club sandwich which looked soooo good. The fries are great. Service prompt. Cute patio too. Way nicer than you would expect

Food is okay, it seems to get a decent crowd during the week. I am guessing the lazy people from the hotel. Weekends, who wants to spend it at the place near the highway when there a so many better choices in town or with better views.
Went with a group of 12– not a huge party but services was so slow and the food was just okay.

Copper House Tavern is a surprisingly nice looking sports bar with a restaurant attached. It is not well known because it is part of the Best Western hotel, which is not known as one of the best spots in town.
If you think of it as a sports bar, then do go. It has nice apps and a good selection of beverages. But, it you think of it as a restaurant, then give it a pass. The dinner food is decidedly average and unremarkable. As a matter of fact, I cannot even remember what I ordered last night. I know it was some kind of fish with some kind of squash side dish. But, I do not remember it as being special. So, my conclusion, is that one should not come here for a special meal.
Stick to the drinks and the bar food, and you should be OK.

Excellent drink menu, friendly service, and fantastic food! The honey hot wings, carne assada, and Italian grinder pizza are all excellent! Prices were great too!
Easy parking! In the best western, but quite a lovely bar and dinner joint! Fantastic find!

Ziemlich netter großer Pub in dieser recht abgelegenen von Hotels dominierten Gegend. Ich war echt froh hier so brauchbares Restaurant zu finden. Das Essen ist OK und die Bierkarte riesig.
