Came to see Lisa with a few ideas but not really knowing what I wanted to do with my hair… Lisa looked at all the pictures and came up with a mix of everything I was showing her… Very professional and my hair came out AMAZING! Thank you Lisa for the AMAZING work you did with my hair!!! I will definitely be back to see her again!!!

Just moved to Massachusetts and was really worried about finding someone to cut and color my hair. I typically go every 6 weeks so didn’t have a lot of time to find someone. I read the reviews for Lisa and emailed using the contact link on her website. She responded right away — asked me what I needed and what my color was like and scheduled an appointment. The place is small and friendly and not intimidating at all. I don’t like snobby hair salons –never felt comfortable. I left Lisa’s place feeling like I made a friend. And my hair — very thick, wavy and hard to cut — looks good. I just started a new job and I feel confident knowing that I look good when I get to work after an hour long commute. I’ll be going back to Lisa.

Lisa is the best! She’s been cutting my hair since 2005, and I’ll never go to anyone else; I’ve followed her everywhere there were even times I went to her home for a cut when she was in between salons, and even considered flying to Colorado when she moved there for a short time! In more recent years, I decided to highlight my hair for the first time and Lisa did an absolutely amazing job. I even trusted her when she suggested I try ombré… I loved it and got so many compliments. I honestly can’t recommend Lisa more highly. Give Shear Tranquility a try… you will not be disappointed!

I learned about this place through Unilocal and thought to give it a try. I haven’t done any colors in my hair for over 2 years and wanted a change. I was going for a subtle ombré. So, I made an appointment and came to see Lisa.
Lisa counts 15 min into each appointment for consultations, which is great. We talked, I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she explained to me the steps and the price. She was very thorough and ver friendly. She did my hair, offered me water and a granola bar and got my hair done while chatting away with me.
When I decided to get my hair a little lighter a couple of days later, she fit me into her schedule, did my hair for free and threw in a bottle of shampoo to take away the brassiness, though the reddish undertones were not her fault, they are naturally there in my hair. But Lisa wanted to make sure I was happy!
All in all, Lisa is a wonderful person and an extremely talented hairdresser who’s both professional and friendly. I highly recommend her to be your next (and favorite) stylist!

Lisa is AMAZING! I went to the salon before she took it over so I figured I give her a try. I haven’t gone anywhere since. We always talk through what I’m looking for in a haircut and every time I walk out with what I want looking awesome! I have never received as many compliments on my hair before coming here.
I’m not one to usually do color, but I wanted to have some nice highlights for my wedding day. We once again talked through it and she made me feel really comfortable in the decision. My hair looked FANTASTIC on my wedding day and was so happy I went with the highlights.

I moved back to the area and was looking for a hair stylist. I found Shear Tranquility on a walk around the neighborhood. I wanted to play with adding some highlights to my hair color to get rid of those annoying strands of gray. I, however, was very timid about coloring my hair. Lisa listened to what I was saying, started me with a partial foil and after three visits, I have continued to get bolder with my color and love it. To put it simply and in the words of my husband «Wow, your hair really looks great and like it was done by a professional that really cares». What more can I say. That is Lisa’s way!

I found Lisa kind of by accident. I used to be a client at the salon before she took over it, and called to make an appointment. Lisa answered, and told me that she was in the process of taking over the salon, and so, I decided to be spontaneous and make an appointment with her. I’ve been going to her for haircuts since last summer, and I couldn’t be happier! She’s extremely professional, sweet, and really listens to what I want in a haircut. Plus, she’s just a pleasure to talk to. I’ve never been one to chat away to my hair stylist, especially if it’s someone I don’t know too well, but Lisa is just really easy to talk to. I’ve been extremely happy with my haircuts, too. I always leave feeling like I got the haircut that I asked for. Her prices are reasonable, and I feel really good about supporting a fellow small business owner while she establishes herself in Waltham.

Lisa is the most talented hair colorist and stylist in the Boston area. She has an incredible eye to understand the color you want and need. I have been to many stylists in the past without real understanding my color needs. She gets it! Very sweet personality and always professional. The place is clean and cozy. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful hair transformation. Thank you Lisa!
