We learned about this family restaurant by tasting a sample of their clam chowder at Edaville Railroad today. The general manager and hostess were super attentive and seated our party of 8 right away(at 7:00pm!). The waiter was timely and moved the ordering process and delivery of bread, drinks and meals in a very efficient manner. We ordered a combination of prime rib, baked haddock, and fried seafood in our party. The quality and service we experienced were not as described in many of the negative reviews posted. The seafood and onion rings were fried perfectly and the prime rib cuts were generous. My only suggestions for this restaurant would be to add a choice of a salad to the list of accompaniments offered. And offer whole belly clams(my personal favorite!). The 2 children with us were attended to promptly and with a sense of humor. They were also treated to a cup of ice cream for dessert after only paying 1 penny a pound of their weight! The restaurant had a gentleman playing the guitar and singing some standards(Saturday evening). We were seated directly in front of him, and I was worried it would be really loud. On the contrary, the music was VERY low-key and subdued. We enjoyed listening to the gentleman between our conversation and while eating. We could find no reason not to give BB’s a chance! Especially after a family outing to Edaville!

5 stars to this place. I made the mistake of reading some of the reviews, so it delayed my visit. This place is awesome. I’m at the bar and the patrons are cool and so isn’t the staff. I had a stuffed quahog and clam chowder and it was delicious. It was pretty inexpensive too. It’s been 5 months and I’m back again. Still the same. It’s a quiet Sunday but it’s a great crowd and employees are awesome !

worst pizza I have ever had hands down. had an extremely«sharp» taste as well an a very off putting porta potty feces smell. Asked for it well done l, picked up a slice and it literally broke in half in the middle. Absolutely disgusting and will never ever go back. Staff was completely over whelmed and disorganized and there was only 4 people in the dining room. I had originally called for take out and was put on hold and forgotten about. it is NOT stone oven I don’t even m is what they are talking about. GROSS.

I’m going to disagree with a lot of people’s reviews because this place is amazing! The staff is very friendly and the food was so good. I’ve been here a few times and will definitely be coming back, their fried mozzarella made me pleasantly surprised as I was expecting just mozzarella sticks but it was pretty different. Don’t even get me started on how good their pizza is. The food is pretty inexpensive and they gave us some breadsticks with our meals which was definitely a plus. Overall I love this place and would definitely recommend!

Further down hill. Pizza shrinking, chicken parm much like frozen Stop and Shop patties. Last straw. I’m done.

Going to give it 2 stars because the waitress was amazing. Food was okay. Out of all the beers we asked for. Food not worth the price though

We were out doing errands and wanted a a quick sandwich, and we spotted this place across from the Wareham Crossing Mall. I’d never noticed it before, but was told by the waiter that it’s been here a while under many different names. After we ordered, I read some Unilocal reviews and was feeling uneasy about what we’d be served — but we were both happy when our lunch arrived. I had a BLT and my husband had a tuna wrap — both were very good, as were the fries that came with them. We sat on the bar side, as the restaurant section was completely empty(which also gave me cause for concern), but I would definitely return. The place appeared very clean, and the service by Evan was excellent. They also have Keno and tvs all around, so it’s a good place to watch a game.

I’ll have to agree with the others who had given this place poor reviews! I had originally given this place a 5 star review, then the other 3 times here it has steadily declined! Tonight I had ordered chicken piccata with angel hair pasta. The worst I’ve ever had! No flavor! Minimal chicken! And the pasta was like paste. The server asked how my meal was and I told him my dissatisfaction. He told me he would tell management. Next another customer complains about his meal. The servers are joking among themselves that they have been accustomed to apologizing here. Big red flag!!! Now to top it off I was never offered another meal or my meal taken off the bill!!! I will never step into this establishment again and will be sure to let everyone know how terrible this place is!!!

We ordered take out. The Steak tips nicely however the sauce tasted unfinished or undercooked as the alcohol could still be tasted. We also ordered the combo parm plate. The portion of chicken was large and the portion of egg plant was good as well however the egg plant was thickly cut and tough, if thinner cut would have been more tender. The Mashed Potatoes were perfect.

I had been here end of last summer or early fall. I thought it was a little like Vel’s down the road. But the dining room seemed just a little nicer? The service was adequate and quality and price just about OK. The next time I went in the Dining room was closed so sat in the Bar. DUMP, DIVEBAD! There is a strange stale smell in that room. Also as others mentioned a Russian Bartender, BAD, rude, will not go back if she is there. As others also mentioned I picked menu items only to be told«we don’t have that any more»??? Well then CHANGETHEMENU! So ended up just ordering pizza and it was actually pretty good. But went back this weekend and made sure the Rude Russian wasn’t there. She wasn’t so stopped for pizza. Also sat in the dining room this time again. The pizza was so very different, but in a bad way. Thick bready, soft, not cooked enough even though I asked for well done. The toppings and everything changes and for the worse. Given them a try but I would guess the name out front will soon be changing cause they really have made a mess of it and driven off customers.

Been there a few times. Seems to be a lot of drama with one of the female bar flies that sits there on a barstool all day. Not a fan of the Russian bartender, Was there this past Valentines day and the Russian bartender comes over to myself and a friend of mine and says: I have something for you, she gives us these valentines jello shots, when the check comes at the end of the night we noticed she charged us 5.65 each for these shots. We were under the impression they were some sort of valentines gift. We felt it was a sneaky move as did the lady next to us at the bar. I was pretty pissed off and left her no tip. I went in the following week, sat at the bar and the Russian bartender comes up behind me and says: ‘Thought you weren’t coming back”? I looked at her puzzled and said, I’ve never said that and she says: yes you did. so I finished my drink and left. Now I can say: I will never go back. I don’t go to a place to argue with a bartender but it seems this one likes to argue. I will happily take my business to a place where there is no drama(and jello shots half the price). Now, as for the rest of the place, pizza is good, Mens room is always cold, and there is a tile in front of the urinal that moves, someone is going to get hurt in there. the owner seems nice but the manager … not so much, may be because he’s in a relationship with, yup, you guessed it. The Russian bartender.

This is my first review. One star because we had gotten a great parking spot. The hostess left the hostess/employee break area and seated us and got our drink order. When she returned we tried to place our order but many of the items were no longer available. That’s probably a good thing because if the food they served was that bad I can just imagine the mess they have taken off the menu. We settled on burgers as a last resort. The medium well burgers came out charred. It was a genius way to cover up the freezer burn. The door buzzer that rings every time the door opens is annoying as is watching the whole staff ignore customers to «tidy up» because«Tim is here». Hope this helps.

A simple neighborhood tavern with tasty, hearty meals and friendly staff. We’ve been in more than a few times, but today’s lunch was so good that I was moved to write this review. I am a self-proclaimed«Reuben Connoisseur» — I have tried every version of every reuben I have ever come across in my world travels, from Cape Cod to Hong Kong to Frankfurt to Jamaica. Today’s lunch special — the grilled reuben — at BB’s just took the top spot on my favorite list! I almost ordered a second one to bring home for dinner, but I didn’t want to tarnish the experience… I’ll be back soon, though :)

I had purchased a $ 30 living social certificate. The lady up front when I walked in, Tori, was pleasant and said I could either sit in the main room or at the bar. I chose the main room. There were only two other parties there and it was pretty quiet. The main room had lower ceilings and was pretty dark. Tori was the only greeter/waitress/take out/phone call person there. She was working her tail off but she could have used help. I ordered a bowl of chowder($ 4.95) and the fried seafood platter(on the menu and online it said $ 23.95 but rang up $ 24.95).The bowl of chowder was quite large and tasty. It was the heavier, creamy(more traditional) chowder. Then came the platter with onion rings and cole slaw as sides. There was a good amount of fish, clams, scallops, and shrimp but the batter was was pretty plain. The biggest problem was that either they had not changed/filtered their fry oil recently or it was not hot enough. Being that it was early afternoon, it could have been either. The seafood had that dark, deep yellow color and it retained the oil. The clams were pretty small bellies and the scallops appeared to be 20⁄30 count(medium sized). At $ 23⁄24 for the platter it is a bit high for the type of place. Even though I paid $ 15 for the voucher plus the $ 5 tip(always remember to tip on the full amount), I wouldn’t run back anytime soon.

My mom and I tried this place for the first time last night. We arrived at 7:30 and the hostess informed us that the dining room was closed for the night so we had to sit in the bar area, which was a little odd considering it was a normal dinner hour. Apparently all the waitstaff had gone home so the bartender had to wait on us. She was very nice but it was extremely awkward having to yell over to the bar everyone we needed anything. I ordered an apple martini and the bartender came over and informed me that she was out of apple pucker. She said there was more in the office but she didn’t have a key and the owners were at the patriots game so she could not get it. My mother ordered a Bloody Mary and once again the bartender came and told us she was out of tomato juice. I ordered French onion soup which was actually pretty good and a BLT. My mom ordered a seafood scampi over pasta. The pasta was tasty but the seafood was all a bit chewy. Her dinner came with a salad, I was shocked when the bartender brought it over on a plate wrapped in plastic wrap and uncovered it in front of us! Gross. Overall I was not impressed which is too bad, the location is great and this place could probably be busy enough to keep the dining room open past 7 if they just made some minor tweets.

Party of eight 3 hours to get seven of our dinners the other one they forgot .The food was good the people were friendly but I felt as though they were just trying to get us to buy more drinks . It was not that busy for that kind of wait. I will give it one more try maybe they just have to work out the bugs.

I agree with Paul and have eaten here 3 times(twice in the dining room and once at the bar). The service has been friendly and prompt and the owner came over to all the tables to see how people were doing. While the food is not gourmet or particularily eclectic(Wareham is not this market anyway), it is good honest comfort food leaning towards Italian and seafood. Healthy portions, well presented and reasonable prices should make this another Cranberry Highway standard like Vel’s, Bailey’s and Lindseys.

The food was almost a 3*, but the service killed it. We were there on a Thursday night and they were not crowded. We liked the décor but it didn’t quite match the keno screens. We were seated right away and our server came quickly. She asked if she could get us anything to drink. We hadn’t had a chance to think about it yet or read the drink list, so we told her we needed more time to decide. I then asked for water to start with. A short while later, she came back with a glass of water for me and none for my wife. We asked for another glass which came quite a bit later. In that this was our first time here(they have only been open 2 weeks), I decided to try the Big House Red wine. My wife opted to spend $ 2 more and get the Cabernet. The Big House Red is REALLY, REALLY bad. You will be very sorry if you order it. The Cabernet tasted like it might have been good when the bottle was first opened, but after a few days it had lost a lot. Even old, it was still much better than the house red. There were very few real entrees on the menu(had lots of pizza and sandwiches), so we both ordered Veal Parm. It came with salad and pasta. As mentioned by others, the portions are large, but I would rather have good than large. The salad was fine. We finished our salad and then the entrée came. We asked if we were supposed to get bread. We were told yes, but it wasn’t ready. After we were 1⁄3 done with our entrée, the bread finally came. The bread was hot and may have been fresh baked and had a good consistency, but had little taste. At the same time as the bread, grated cheese was delivered for our meal the was already well in progress. The veal was tender, but had absolutely no seasoning. Parts of the breading had a bit of a burnt taste. Both my wife and I both thought the red sauce had an odd taste that we didn’t like, but neither of us could identify the problem, we just knew that we didn’t like it. As we were finishing our meal, we overheard another waitress at a different table reading a long list of daily specials. We were never presented with any specials. They were also offered lemon in their water which we were not. First the waitress and then the owner came to ask how our meal was. I told them that I was not impressed and gave the owner some specifics. He said that most people really liked their red sauce. Either those people have never eaten in a slightly better than average Italian restaurant or they have strange tastes in food. We were not looking to get any compensation from the owner for our less than perfect meal, but none was offered. Something I read in the newspaper let me to believe that they have the same chef that was there when the place was called Pomadores. As to why you would want to bring back a chef from a failed restaurant is a mystery to me. Update: Since the owner/manager Tim has posted a reply to my review as well as others, I thought I would post my reactions to Tim’s attitude. Although a few Unilocal reviews are from people who just joined Unilocal to bad mouth a single establishment, many(including myself) have published numerous reviews which are more positive than negative. Tim seems to have a lot of excuses and sometimes blames the customer. I can guarantee that this attitude will not get people to give you another try or get new Unilocal members to give you a first try. I don’t believe that«the customer is always right». However, I do believe that the customer is usually right. Tim seems to think otherwise. Tim should watch the TV program«Restaurant Impossible». Restaurant owners often say how much their customers like the place and their food. However, all of the restaurants on the show are failing. If you really believe your restaurant is better than the reviews, give people a reason to believe their second experience will be much better and an incentive to return. I have given many restaurants a second chance. A few got me to give them a higher rating.

I don’t even know where to start… The only reason I’m giving this place two stars instead of one, is because I met the owner and was very impressed with her friendly attitude and superb customer service. However, it seemed like she was new to the restaurant industry. I guess this place was originally called«Barnacle Bob’s», but changed it because it too closely resembled«Barnacle Bill’s» in East Wareham. As I mentioned, I met the owner, Sandra –very nice. It was clear that she GENUINELY cared about customer satisfaction. The place has a limited menu, which still says«Barnacle Bob’s»(The sign out front does say«B.B.‘s» The waitress/bartender(I didn’t get her name; she never introduced herself) had a poor attitude and seemed aggravated at the most basic requests. When we asked for a water refill, she signaled ‘1 minute’ with her finger. She then took care of two other patrons and answered the phone(I’ve worked in customer service, and thought it was common knowledge that the customer in front of you takes precedence over those on the phone) before finally inquiring about what we needed(again seemingly aggravated). When I received my soda water, it was flat. I informed Sandra, the owner, she apologized and brought me a new drink. We waited for almost an hour after ordering two SIMPLE sandwiches. When we asked about our order, Sandra went out back to check. It was never started! She explained that they handwrite each order on a two-part form and SOMEHOW after the waitress took our order, it disappeared. Again Sandra was very apologetic –and seemed sincere. She offered to rush the order and only charge us for one plate. We said we didn’t have time to wait around any longer and ended up leaving after paying a few bucks for our drinks. On the plus side, the plates of food I saw being brought to other patrons, appeared to be very large portions. I also found the establishment to be very clean –and noticed a pleasant improvement in the décor from the previous restaurant that operated there. I’m not sure I’d try this place again –maybe once they get a big more established(and only because I was very impressed by Sandra). I certainly wouldn’t recommend it after this experience.
