The food is really good and the atmosphere looks amazing. However, there were several employees/mean girls in the back where the kitchen was completely disrupting our experience with their loud gossip and unprofessional behavior. I will not be bringing my family back here. I was really let down.

I feel like I have scoured all of Middle GA for a decent Japanese steakhouse and I have finally found the best one there is. We had dinner here last night trying to beat the Valentine’s day rush. One word of advice to anyone thinking of going here: MAKERESERVATIONS!!! Seriously, we showed up at our scheduled 6pm reservation and when we left, those who didn’t have reservations were being quoted a 45 minute to an hour wait. So let’s move along, shall we? As stated previously, we had 6 pm reservations. We got there are exactly 6:04(yeah, we were late but I’m a girl and you know girls are always late). We went up to the front counter and were immediately seated at a table with 6 other diners apparently waiting for us. AWESOMESAUCE. Our waitress followed shortly and took drink and sushi orders and the only think I can say about that is… she seemed to disappear for a while. I’m talking to my husband for a while and realized that I was thirsty and she was no where to be found for quite a while.(lost half a star for that one). She did come back and bring our drinks eventually. So let’s talk about the food, shall we? First up? The soup. Now I’m used to an onion soup with a chicken broth base. They seem to have served a soup with a fish broth with nuts in it. It tasted funny(lost a half a star for that one). It really wasn’t good at all. I really wanted onion soup. I really REALLY wanted onion soup. I didn’t get onion soup. Did I mention that I really wanted onion soup? I still can’t understand the concept of «yum yum sauce.» It seems to be a GA thing because where I come from they have mustard sauce and a ginger sauce. Yum yum sauce is this crazy mix of Thousand Island dressing and some other stuff, but I won’t try it. What the hell is yum yum sauce? Now the cook comes out. Minus the cheesy show, the food was GREAT. The fried rice was flavorful and the serving size was perfect. The fried rice my first visit was bland and kind of just there, so whatever they changed about how they prepare it, they need to keep it. I had the chicken, shrimp and lobster, my husband had the filet mignon and shrimp. The steak was FABULOUS. It melted in my mouth when I tried it. Cooked perfectly to order. The chicken was moist and seasoned well, the shrimp was great, the lobster was cooked well. Just in a nutshell, the food was great. Was it phenomenally the best food I’ve ever had? No, I prefer Benihana more, but this is better than all the steakhouses in the area and believe me, we’ve tried each and every one of them. I never like to comment on restaurant décor because quite honestly, no one goes to a restaurant for the décor. If the food is good, they can serve it to me in a trailer. So all in all, I give it 4 stars because there is always room for improvement, but a solid 4 for the food. Go try it.

Not so thrilled about this place. The staff were not trained to greet guest. You have to asked them twice to bring you something. Not very attentive. The food were rated $. For the price of $$.

We tried Zen’s for the first time tonight. We passed several groups of people seated near the entry, so we figured there would be a wait. I mean, it was dinner time on Friday night. We approached the hostess stand, told him how many diners, and refused the sushi menu. The hostess quickly seated us with several small groups around a grill. My first impression of their customer service was an off-putting note about«dining & dashing» attached to the«Please Wait to be Seated» sign — awkward! STRIKEONE! Our service was fine overall. The server arrived quickly, and was attentive & courteous throughout the meal. She did, however, hover to collect payment for our check. I’d prefer for all members of my party to complete their meal before expecting me to settle the check. That’s just common courtesy! STRIKETWO! The chef’s show was brief, but entertaining. The meal was pretty good. The soup, salad, rice, & veggies were of the standard hibachi flavor … that part never disappoints. We both ordered the steak & chicken. The steak was well-done & chewy — not medium-well as ordered. The portions also seemed small compared to other similar restaurants.(I always have leftovers, but not tonight.) STRIKETHREE!!! Not overly impressed, so we will likely try a few other Japanese steakhouses in the area prior to returning to this establishment.

Can’t actually review their food… you’d have to work there, I guess to remember when they’re open and when they’re closed. Went mid-day on a Wednesday. Doors were open, but they said sorry we’re closed, we open back up at 4:30. Uhhhh sure, I’ll wait 2 ½ hrs to eat, thanks, but no thanks. Sorry you just lost a customer, will not be back.

You will not feel the welcome attitude from the Hostess, nor the waitresses, as if they were just there, because they have too. A small town of Warner Robins, and too many restaurant to go to, your number one competition is service. People come back not just for food, but its the ambience and service on top of your specialty. Need a little bit of work and effort guys.

Sushi was solid not soft like most places only thing is they dont have gluten free soy sauce which is absolutely crazy … I dont like gluten and would prefer that when I eat my sushi that they have a bottle of Tamari in the refrigerator not just for me but for anyone that might have a gluten allergy

It’s not the best but not the worst. Zen is tucked away off Watson Blvd. The building is a little dated and looks more like a tourist attraction that you would find in Orlando. We were greeted by several hostess/servers. The staff was friendly. It was early so there were only three other people at our hibachi grill. I ordered the hibachi chicken and shrimp which includes soup and salad. I added the fried rice. The soup was good. I had ginger dressing on my salad which was very strong but good. The fried rice, chicken, and shrimp were ok. The vegetables were horrible. It’s a little pricey but nothing special.

It’s a good choice to go to when out with a large group. Food is fresh & good, the chef is somewhat entertaining, staff members were friendly. The location is great for the new hotels around it. Has good parking space. I didn’t see my favorite uni sushi though, hope I just missed looking at it. Price is like any hibachi grill restaurant. $$

My wife and I had dinner here last night and it was excellent. We sat at the sushi bar. We had a Rainbow Roll, a Crunch Roll, a Philly Roll, and a Yellowtail Roll. They were all great. The décor in this place is pretty cool. Looks like it might have been converted from another restaurant. It’s huge! Finding a table shouldn’t be a problem. The servers were friendly and kept our glasses full all night. All in all, a great sushi place for Centerville.

I ordered the Chicken from the regular menu, as I do at these places. I love hibachi but dont care for the show all the time. Chicken was way way over done. And their«Secret Sauce» was totally disgusting. It tasted like ketchup and horseradish mixed together. Yuck. If you like shrimp sauce then dont bother with this place. I did not even finish my meal. I did order a sushi roll. That was poor as well. Spicy tuna. It was a tuna roll with saracha on top. Nasty. Plus the cut wan not uniform. That made some of it too big and others too small. Overall not impressed at all. You can get better anywhere i am sure.
