They are no longer a deli and have changed to Mexican food. The new name is Simply Delicioso. The menu is small but they told me they will expand it as the business grows. The food was pretty good, although a bit expensive for lunch. Portions are big, so it’s more suited for dinner. Only negatives were the chimi not having much meat(mostly rice) and the chips on the side were so salty they were pretty much inedible, and I like some salt on my tortilla chips. I’ll try it again soon to see what other dishes are like.

This place has a fun and unique menu… especially for the Warren area which seems to be filled with your typical mom & pop diners. Some of the items I have had were just so-so, but some great ones that stand out are: Dragon Eggs(mashed garlic redskin potatoes with pepper jack cheese and green chilies, rolled & dipped in breadcrumbs, then deep-fried); Chick-A-Do(grilled chicken topped with pineapple, ham, gouda and avocado) and the Cali-Club omelet(avocado, bacon, pineapple and smoked gouda). They also have a different soup each day in addition to chili and chicken noodle and they have a cupcake of the day as well. The downside is the building is small, so unless you get carryout, you need to get there early for lunch to get a table.

We stopped in there after I saw it listed on a Unilocal email. We had the Southwest Chili which seemed a touch spicy at first but was just great on the following spoonfuls. We also had the Steak Panini sandwiches — which had me at havarti. I mean, where can you get havarti on a sandwich? These were tasty and warm and the fries were great! My companion had coffee which he seemed to enjoy. I had water because that’s what I like to drink, lol. I will go back and try other lunches and I saw some breakfasts that are intriguing. I wish they were open for dinner because I’d love to see what they would come up with.

I went here for lunch today. Here’s the scoop: The good: The food was great. Everything is homemade(including soups, dressings, desserts, etc) and it shows. I had a bowl of corn chowder with bacon, a pastrami reuben, and homemade fries. Everything was delicious. They kept the coffee coming too, which is always nice. They brought over a sampler of the other two soups for us to try(chicken noodle and chili); both were very good, but the chili was outstanding! I might have to go back for the chili sometime. The sandwiches included a side of homemade potato chips, which were very good. The service was very, very good too! The bad: It was a little pricey; lunch for 3 was $ 37 — but that’s because my dining companions insisted on ordering onion rings, which weren’t included with the combo meal. Most of the entrees were between $ 6-$ 10, which is on par with most restaurants in the area. Also, they close at 4; not bad, necessarily, unless I wanted dinner from there. I’ll definitely be back!

Simply Delicious opened up in the nearly abandoned strip mall near my house, something I am very excited about. They had extensive hours at first, being open until 7 p.m. which allowed me to stop in on my way home from work for a quick bite to eat for dinner. They scaled it back, closing at 4 p.m. now, which I am disappointed by but not upset. As a new business it has to be difficult to turn a profit and I don’t begrudge them one second for having shortened hours. This is a place that knows what what it can do, and that is sandwiches. I highly recommend the«After-Neuner», and my boyfriend recommends«The Hot Chick», I always know a place is good when we both have items to recommend at it. The french fries are incredible, and the owners are very friendly. If you are a sandwich fan, I recommend having lunch here at least once. It’s nice to have a new spot in the neighborhood. The service is extremely friendly, I love coming here because they always make me smile and feel welcomed. This is a great spot, and I hope it stays around for a long time. It’s in the same mall that Brother’s used to be in, and it has that same charm they had, and since the Red Apple caught fire, there hasn’t been any restaurant in the area, so it’s good to have Simply Delicious around. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Got a turkey sandwich the other day for lunch and was surprised at how good it was. Served up with some chips as a pickle. I definitely recommend going back as I will be today.
