Dropped by this shop for the first time yesterday and it’s now my «go to» wine shop! I live in Amissville, about 20 minutes away and come to Warrenton for groceries. The grocery stores in Warrenton have ho-hum wine selections, so this store is a great find. The owner is a friendly guy who clearly LOVES all things wine. I’m easily scared off by aggressive or pushy wine shop owners(in fact, I am reluctant to go to smaller wine shops after experiencing so many higher pressure situations in such shops), but this gentlemen is simply happy, super knowledgeable, and very helpful with zero pressure. It was a great experience and look forward to going back. The shop has craft beer and cigars too, which I am excited to sample as well.

My first visit to this shop was a great one! I’ve always wanted to go in, having passed this place a hundred times. They have many wines to choose from and some interesting craft beers — you can make your own 6-pack of those. I found one of my favorite wines(Frisk Prickly Riesling) there for $ 12/bottle! So exciting as that’s a hard-to-find wine. I also found out you can save 10% if you order by the case. Definitely stop by here sometime!

Dan has done a GREAT job as the New Owner of the Grapevine. From the first moment that we walked in the door– Dan was warm and welcoming, and VERYHELPFUL! I’ve never really been into wine — I Just have never really found that One or two I really liked, but every wine Dan has suggested and explained has been has been a wonderful Experience. He and his staff are very knowledgeable and skilled at describing exactly what to expect with the wine(or beer) they are describing and recommending. The Grapevine and Dan have been a wonderful find and I will continue to support them and Refer family and friends as much as possible — They just never disappoint!

We stopped in at The Grapevine in Warrenton yesterday on our way out of town. Dan was great and recommended several wines and a craft beer for our week at the beach with family. Very friendly and knowledgable service. Fantastic selection and value. We plan to return soon!

For the longest time, I had no idea this little shop existed. It’s tucked away in a little strip mall at the corner of 29 business and 211, and I would never have found it had I not googled for«cigars near warrenton». The Grapevine primarily sells wines(hence the name), with a nice selection of craft and micro-brewed beers, as well as assorted gourmet food items. My interest was solely in the cigar selection, as this shop’s location makes it the most convenient stop-off for me to get a cigar. There sadly are very few cigar shops in the Warrenton, or even Fauquier County area, and making a trek out to Winchester or into Manassas/Fairfax was just too much effort. So when I found this shop listed, I figured I needed to drop by and see what they had to offer. The cigar selection is not earth-shattering, but it is sufficient for the non-avid smoker. They regularly stock Ashton’s, Rocky Patel’s(including some of the harder-to-find blends), Romeo y Julietas, Partagas and a smattering of other brands. The owners of the shop are very friendly and were happy to stock a box of Avo Uvezian cigars when I asked. The prices, as noted by other reviews, are not as competitive as one might wish, but as this is the only quality cigar shop in the area(to my knowledge), it’s generally worth paying a little more for the convenience.

Last evening, I was hankering for a good Dominican cigar, and I thought about heading over to Manassas to pick up a couple — but I thought I would Google around and see if there were any places in Warrenton that offer a decent cigar selection. I found the Grapevine — and it was only 3 miles farther than Hanadco in Manassas. So off I went. The Grapevine is a cool, eclectic little shop that sells wines, craft-brewed beers, all the normal and some hard-to-find alcohol and bar accessories, plus cigars. They offer you the option of building your own custom six pack of craft brewed beers. The walk in Humidor is in the back right corner of the shop. I walked in and checked out the selection. They have some good, quality Dominican cigars, but their selection is somewhat limited — compared to the comprehensive offerings of both Hanadco in Manassas and John B. Hayes in Fair Oaks Mall. The cigars I was interested in were also quite a bit more expensive here — the Arturo Fuente 858s — one of my favorites — were as I recall — about $ 6.00 and change per cigar, whereas Hanadco sells the same cigar for about $ 5.40 and John B. Hayes for $ 4.00 and change. I ended up buying three Romeo y Julieta Dominican cigars. Still, it’s a neat little shop and I recommend checking it out — I will be back at some point to buy a selection of hard-to-find craft brewed beers!
