Today I was downtown at the bank to get quarters for laundry and I stopped by here in frumpy laundry day clothes. I really needed a cup of coffee and was too lazy to walk all the way to Cosmic’s new location. So I headed in here dressed like that and they were still perfectly polite, and served me just as if I had been wearing the most upscale attire. The people who run this are perfectly kind and good servers. And the muffin and coffee I took home were also right on perfect.

My mom and I came in because we used to eat at the Weaubleau location all the time before it was struck by lightning. The service was above and beyond and the atmosphere and view were great, not to mention the food was to die for! We will definitely be back!

The coffee shop atmosphere is great. Located on the Town Square, it overlooks the Osage River. I ordered the special and it arrived at the table in 30 minutes not quite fully cooked. The Cream Cheese Pie with Strawberries was great. The service is very poor, had to ask for silverware and dirty dinner plates crowded the table while we enjoyed dessert.

The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is prepared with great care using fresh, natural ingredients and is exceptionally tasty(especially the homemade breads and desserts!) The décor is cozy and inviting. Will definitely return!

Absolutely HORRIBLE service. We were finally served water 15 minutes after ordering our meal and I reminded the waiter that we still needed our drinks… little did I know that would be the last time we saw him at our table. 45 minutes later, we didn’t have food even though 5 tables who arrived after us had eaten and were paying for their meals. I did spot our waiter hanging out at the bar. He was busy holding down a barstool, no time to check on his tables. Needless to say, we finally just left… hungry. I could forgive some of this if the waiter had kept us up to date(or even checked on us) or if the kitchen was just behind but other tables had their food coming out 10 – 15 minutes after arrival. My mom had been looking forward to taking me to this restaurant when came up from Texas for a visit for a long time so I think her disappointment is what angers me the most.

We happened upon this place one rainy Saturday… We had walked in for a coffee, possibly pastry when we were informed they had just closed. We must have looked very bummed because the next thing we knew we were being welcomed back to the coffee bar area! While they mixed us up a drink to our particular orders– we’re picky– the sweet guy that had welcomed us proceeded to keep an easy convo going . Kindness didn’t end… While we were paying, they started to load us up with muffins. For free!!! These muffins — they deserve a moment of silence, a poem about their attributes, daydreams… My eternal love. Friendly, wonderful service and amazing baked goods! The place itself… A masterly combination of craftsmanship and branding!!!

My brother and his wife live in Bolivar, MO. I spent a few days with them and they took me to Warsaw, Mo to shop in the flea markets and eat at Common Ground. They eat here quite often. It was a fun day trip. We scoured the flea markets and worked up quite an appetite. We stopped in the middle of our shopping to head down the street on foot to Common Ground. It is a great atmosphere with the interior surrounding you with wood. I understand they made all of the furniture themselves. Its all very natural. I was so impressed that they had taken into consideration the comfort in sitting in a chair or booth by making the the backs at the perfect angle for relaxed seating arrangement. Now to the food. Soups, salads and sandwiches all very delish. They make all of there bread and it is so good. My brother and sis-in-law both had the Reuben sandwich, their favorite. It comes with potato chips they make themselves. They are so crispy, crunchy and perfectly seasoned. I’ve had homemade chips other places and none were as perfectly cooked as these. My sis-in-law order a small fruit salad also. It had strawberries, blueberries, orange pieces, apples and walnuts with a dollop of plain yogurt in the center. She shared half with me. It was so fresh. She ate her half with her meal and I ate mine for dessert. I ordered a make-it-yourself sandwich of light rye, roast beef and provolone cheese. All the sandwiches are served warm and mine was so good with soft cheese slightly melted and the generous helping of beef heated perfectly through. For drinks I had regular unsweetened tea.(Sometimes I’m not very adventuresome) Bro had root beer. They make all of there soda pop the old fashion way. He let me taste it and it was creamy with with the perfect mix of root beer and carbonation. Sis had the tea of the day, spearmint, peppermint, lemon. She let me taste hers also. It was very refreshing. Made me sorry I didn’t try one if there other beverages. But the regular tea was very good. You don’t think tea can be that different from place to place but it is and this was at the top of my list. The food doesn’t come out at lightening speed but that is a good thing. They make everything fresh. It wasn’t too slow either. We had time to relax and talk about all of our neat finds at the flea markets. Great experience, I can’t wait to go back. Extra special getting to spend time with my lovely family. It’s a great day trip. Warsaw is on the Osage River which exits Truman lake at the dam near the town. Pomme de Terre is part of that water system as well. Go to to learn more about the water activities. Hope this helps to inspire you to take a trip to Warsaw, MO whether you live in the area or just passing through on you way to a further destination.

What a hidden gem that we stumbled upon. I didn’t even think they were open but so glad we went in! Food was delicious and prepared with such effort. If you want your salad before your meal, let them know, as all of our food came out at the same time. Prices were very reasonable. The building was so beautiful and calming! Go inside and check it out!

Amazing place for lunch — the atmosphere is fantastic. Very warm, relaxing and cozy. There is so much to look at here and you get the feeling you are sitting outdoor while inside. — service is top notch. Very friendly and attentive. — food quality and taste is great. Very filling. — if you get the chance, order a bottle of root beer(wonderful) and a piece of banana bread(amazingly good! — BADNEWS. I talked with them after lunch and they are selling the restaurant and moving to Lawrence Kansas. They hope to make the transition within the next year… so stop by and enjoy this place before they go.

Quaint décor, good service, great food and reasonable prices. What more can I say? The Deli Rose sandwich is the best sandwich I ever ate, and only $ 7.
