Great Jerky! They have s nice selection going, something for everyone. From sweeter Teriyaki to Ghost peppered jerky. They’re generous with the samples, and very friendly, family owned and operated outfit. They do sell on the ‘festival & show’ circuit as well, so you may see their booth, as I did. And unlike some other small jerky retailers, I cannot say I’ve had any over dried stuff in all the years I’ve had their products. Good stuff here.

Beef Jerky is my life! I drove over 44 miles to check this place out & it was worth it!!! I went with my girlfriend because she knew how much I love BJ, so she looked up places in NJ and Cactus Petes came up. She was extra excited cause, being Filipino herself, she saw that the owner has a Filipino wife lol So after the grueling drive, we finally made it. I walked in and saw a menu of different types of food to order and the owner quickly said that they don’t really do it anymore. The owner mentioned that he just came back from vacation and wasn’t fully set up, so I’m just going by this one experience alone, unsure of it’s former days with the food menu items. Right now it’s mostly just Beef Jerky & Hot Sauces. I immediately said, I want them all. It’s $ 9 for a good size bag(they offer smaller ones also). He let us try some samples and I immediately knew that going with my first instinct of buying each flavor was the right choice. I spent over $ 80 worth of many different flavors and I absolutely loved them all. The Ghost Biltong is VERY spicy and flavorful, which I love… I don’t like when the spiciness gets to a novelty level and has no flavor at all. My favorite is Death By Garlic… It’s a garlic bread fiesta going on in your entire face! My girlfriend loves the Campfire and the Jamaican Me Crazy. We talked to the owner for awhile, who is EXTREMELY friendly and very nice, and then we headed back home snacking on the delicious jerky during the drive… The best Beef Jerky I’ve ever had: D A heads up: This is a very small establishment. We were under the impression while heading down there that the building would have places to sit and order some food and drinks. It’s mostly a go in, get your goods and head out kind of place

My gf and I are big jerky fans since we hike. I first found Cactus Pete’s at an event in NYC. I tried their homemade teriyaki beef jerky and i don’t think ill ever look at jerky the same again. No longer will a Slim Jim suffice. Ha. Planning to go to their location in Hewitt soon to try something else on the menu. Definitely would recommend trying this place to all my friends and any other jerky fans.

Best home made jerky! By far the best taco for the money in the area, everything is homemade. Owner is very personable and great to talk with. Everything on his menu is great to take out to the lake.
