Good local joint. They do fish & chips on Thursday and Fridays that are tasty.
The fish is always fresh, sometimes a bit averagely priced. Every now and then they will have crazy good deals on freshly caught local stuff. I much prefer going here over a Shaws or Stop & Shop type market.
Recommended if you’re in the area.

Was very disappointed with the fish and chip order I got today. The size of the fish was the size of a filet-o-fish. Literally 3×3. Didn’t realize it until I was home. There is no way it should have been served. Won’t be back there with so many other places to choose. Fries were cold too.

Not that fresh! Went there and bought scallops and shrimp. The shrimp were ok but the scallops were clearly treated and not that fresh!!! If you are sensitive to Polyphosphates or are looking to actual be able to pan sear scallops stay away!!!

We purchased local sea scallops. I have had scallops many time before and cook them in sauté pan a little olive oil, salt and pepper that’s it. This time they were surrounded by foam as they cooked and we got thus wired gentian like stuff stuck to the thongs and pan. Some kind if chemical on them? You need to advertise it if your treating them with something. Been going here for years, grew up in buttonwoods. Obviously my last time.

Absolutely the best deal for fish and chips in the area! Decent portions at a great price! My only complaint and why the four out of five stars is they only give you tartar sauce and no coleslaw — can’t have fish and chips without the coleslaw. Otherwise, very tasty, good portions, overall awesome.

Went in before closing and was able to order take out fresh seafood from a seafood store. I ordered the fish and clam cakes. The fish was delicious and the clam cake consistency and taste were great. Mine were a little burnt but probably because they were closing but everything still tasted really good. The staff is very friendly, little tables to eat at if you choose and very clean.

Awfully good fish and chips — 2 for $ 12, too! Doesn’t look like much, but great take out fish and chips. Wish they were open a little later on a Friday night, otherwise, awesome…

I come here at least 2 – 3 times a month, and the fish varies in freshness.
Twice in the last month the fish that I brought home to cook wasn’t fresh, and I ended up throwing it in the trash (and it’s not cheap) and had nothing for dinner.
I wish their freshness was a bit more consistent, afterall, the reason I go to a fish monger, instead of the supermarket for my seafood is for the quality.
I don’t mind paying a premium, but at least make it worth the money.

Would absolutely go here again for fresh seafood. The man working the counter was kind enough to cook our lobster for us. His crab cakes and stuffies were the best stuffies I’ve ever had. The lobster was fantastic. The shop was clean, organized and the food was so fresh. The variety of seafood this place had was impressive. We can’t wait to go back and grab some swordfish and cod to cook up at home. I recommend this place for fresh seafood to cook at home or a quick bite to take out.

Friendly service, fresh food, convenient location!
I adore lobster and this place has it (imagine that) Price goes with the market so I am not saying the prices are a steal or anything but they were fair. The place was clean and had a lot of options. They steam lobsters for you if you give them time in advance, because you know that no one really likes to kill the adorable sea floor walking creatures. The have a ton of pre-prepped stuff too like stuffed lobster too.
To be from Rhode Island is to love sea food. I love sea food and establishments that provide it to me. Nice work guys. Melissa seal of approval granted.

Great honest to goodness hole in the wall shop.
Nothing pretentious about this place, just great fried food.
Fish, clams, shrimp and chowder were delicious.

«Under New Management»…“Under Old Management,.and now the sign says «Under Original Management»…my head is spinning. I dont know if the regulars for this place understand what this means… I do not.
Rule number 1 for whomever it is managing this establisment. If you are waiting on a «walk-in» customer, it is not best practice to take a telephone order for ten minutes describing how you cook your fish.

The fish is pretty good and the fries are better than I remember them the last ime. The fried clams were exquisite!
Maybe next time, I’ll just call my order in!!! :)

I got fish and chips for a carry-out lunch. No complaints. The haddock was fried while we waited. The fries weren’t anything special, but the freshness of the fish made up for them…
