seriously one of worse places i’ve ever been to. The bartenders are rude as fuck, security is always pushing away and rude to ladies in general. On top of that, expensive when it’s not even that nice. Awful service; the coat hangers are in a dirty corner next the restrooms. Cant even find a seat for people who don’t have tables. Guys wearing sneakers and shit, and girls looking like they just got out of work at a restaurant. Definitely not going back!

NOTE: The phone number listed above is for Marakesh, the restaurant below Argana. The number listed online for Pasha(what Argana used to be called) is not correct either. So this place needs to get their info online! It’s a cool spot, interesting layout and nice design. I went there for an event so I’m not sure how it is on regular nights. I gave it a 3 because a tequila sunrise cost me $ 12. She liquored it up for me, but that is still waaay too expensive. Also — and this may be because it was a special event night — the minimum credit card purchase was $ 20.

3.5 stars. Argana Lounge, formerly known as Pasha Lounge, recently opened to the DC nightlife. I didn’t know much about the old Pasha Lounge, and I didn’t know much about its replacement in Argana. What I do know is that this is a decent place to come to if you’re looking for a change in nightlife in DC. The group I was with was on the guestlist, but since we came after midnight, the guys paid $ 20 and the ladies were free. My first initial response of Argana was the fact that the lounge’s first floor was small in size. There is a second floor, but it was for VIP only. Another thing that I noticed throughout the night was the stickiness of the floors, nearly everywhere. I read some reviews for Pasha Lounge and some reviewers said the same thing about the floors. Maybe that’s why so many people were standing around all night not dancing. Then again, that happens a lot nowadays(we call ‘em bystanders) so maybe not. The price for drinks were pretty typical for a club/lounge in DC(Kamikaze = $ 10, Captain & Coke = $ 10, Yuengling beer = $ 6). There’s a $ 25 minimum if you use your credit card, so be forewarned. The group I came with was in VIP, so I checked out the second floor. There’s a small bar on the second floor with a couple of couches. It got packed as the night went on. The club closes at 3AM, something I’m not used to being in Baltimore. That’s why I like coming to clubs in DC. Surely ended up having a good time at Argana, maybe more visits in the future depending on the event.
