The new store is a huge improvement — clean, with a good selection of beer and other necessities. It’s smaller than the old store but somehow feels like there’s better selection? Maybe because everything isn’t expired and dusty. The new owner is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming here a lot.

When I was living at the Berks, this place was a life saver. It really is an all-in-one convenience store. Not just food items are sold, but household items, hardware, etc., you get the picture. They also provide video rental and dry cleaning services(both of which I hadn’t used). There’s also a café in the back. I’ve never dined there because it always looked a bit sketchy to me.

Also known as the Berks Store, this little convenient store has and does everything. They are an all in one beer, video rental, dry cleaning, grocery, and diner. I would make atleast 3 trips a week to those wonderful place, and almost daily during snowpocalypse(Drinking all week). This was the only redeeming quality of the berkshire apartment complex

I was a big fan of hitting up the grocery store in the Berks while I lived there. I loved the Japanese food(yum!) and the fact that I didn’t have to hike all the way out to the Safeway if all I needed was a box of pasta. The owners were pretty forgiving if I forgot to bring cash for small purchases, and got to know me by face if not by name while I was there. One of the best parts of this store was the beer/wine selection. Not that it was great, but it was there! They also operate a dry cleaning and video rental operation, but I never really utilized these, since they were fairly limited in scope. All in all a great perk if you end up living in the Berks.

I lived in the Berks for almost 3 years, and this convenience store downstairs was one of the best qualities of the building. It’s open every day except Sunday, and you can find pretty much every basic thing you need there. It’s a good place to go to buy random groceries, drinks, frozen food, etc. They have a beer and wine section that is better than you would expect, and they also do dry cleaning. There is also an ATM down there, but I would advise you to stay away from the«Berkshire Café» in the back. I never ate there, but my friends who did go there did not have an enjoyable experience. They make sandwiches and burgers, but also some Chinese and Korean food. At least if you are snowed in, or too lazy to leave the building, there is always that option. The people who work there are very friendly, and I got to know them and talk to them a bit over the years. It’s too bad every apartment building can’t have a place like this, because there are definitely times you may need some milk or something, but don’t want to have to go outside to get it.
