By far the friendliest, best tasting, and cleanest bagel shop in the DC area. The staff is always happy and eager to please. Most days I get there when they first open the doors and they feel like they have to apologize for not having the eggs ready. Really it only takes a minute to cook the eggs. By the way, they crack a real egg instead of using liquid stuff. I’ve tried almost everything and it’s all great. I especially like a sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Their brand of cream cheese is also great. I like the cinnamon bagel with their honey and walnut cream cheese. They have a large variety and always seem well stocked with every bagel.

Best and friendliest Bagel place around. Fresh bagels made on the premises, friendly competent staff managed by Rick who runs a tight ship. Feels like home every time we go! Highly recommended!

Fast and good. My husband and I ate breakfast here everyday for our three day stay in DC.

Loved this place last time. Today 16 year old kid ruined my bagel by slicing it terribly and punning ZERO cream cheese. Can’t believe I paid for this?! How are they training their new employees? Do not order from the kid!!!

Bagel sandwiches were really good. They had a few nice breakfast sandwich specials also. It was super convenient as I was staying at the Savoy down the street and it was right in front of my bus stop. I also had their vanilla ice coffee. Not big of coffee. But running low on sleep I needed a boost. I found it to be pretty good. They were very friendly and fast. There were 3 people in line in front of me and the buses were running about every 7 minutes that day. I had my breakfast bagel sandwich, coffee, and paid. And I was waiting on the bus for about 2 minutes.

First neighborhood bagel place. Cozy location, big chairs to work in. Wifi so you can get your work done. Menu is sufficient for a typical bagel place. For a quick bite, a bagel snack or just a place to hangout this place does the trick. Nothing fancy but solid. The big plus is free parking in the back.

Solid bagel shop in Glover park. The quality of their food good, consistent, and fresh. The service can be a little slow since there are usually only 2 – 3 people behind the counter but the staff is very friendly. With free wifi and parking in the back it’s a pretty convenient stop in the area. I’ve gone to a few places in the area for a quick breakfast before going to work and this is the only place I’ve come back to.

This is supposed to be a «freshly cracked egg». But, as you can see, there’s a lot of yolk. The manager told me that it was a double yolk egg. And when I said how unlikely that was, she proceeded to tell me that she had just cracked another double yolk end egg! So, either they are giving you all the left over yolks(and cholesterol) from all the«whites only» sandwiches OR they get a lot of double yolk eggs. You decide which is more likely”

The breakfast sandwiches on bagels are delicious! Reasonable prices and quick and friendly service. I really liked their coffee too. Was so good I came two days in a row after the first time.

Just came in for a quick bagel sandwich. The woman making it was extremely rude, didn’t acknowledge a word I said with anything but a glare. I said hello, how are you, may I please have… glared at me. Asked that my bagel be toasted, she rolled her eyes. When I thanked her, she practically sneered. No other response, not even a grudging«you’re welcome». Wow. In all the years I’ve been coming here, the attitude has never been this bad. The manager is nice but he needs to reconsider how the staff approaches customer service since there was absolutely NONE today. Only reason there are two stars is the decent bagel sandwich. I will probably not be back, especially with an Einstein’s Bagels down the street. Very disappointing.

I love their bagel sandwiches! The herby turkey is my favorite!!! I highly recommend getting your bagel toasted two-three times as they have it set to a high speed and it doesn’t get that toasted the first couple of times. Located right next to Chipotle, if someone you are with doesn’t feel like a sandwich they can go next door for a burrito. Whenever I have gone in the afternoon for lunch there is hardly anyone there, which means short lines and fast service for me. The bagel sandwiches are so large and filling I usually buy one and have half then and half for other meal later in the day or tomorrow. This comes out to a great deal of only $ 3.50 per meal. Not bad for eating out and not having to buy all the sandwich ingredients and make it yourself at home. They have a variety of other options besides the bagel sandwiches such as salads, cookies, soup etc. But I have only tried their sesame, everything, cinnamon raisin bagels, and herby turkey sandwich so far. I highly recommend going here if you need to pack a lunch for the future or just to recharge after a good work out or a long day of work. :) My only problem is that they close so early. They typically close at 5pm it varies a bit on the weekends. This makes it hard to get home soon enough and run over there to get my sandwiches for the next day.

My favorite bagel shop in Glover park. The bagels and bagel sandwiches are very good, but the best is the warm service of the staff. The manager greets me and remembers me whenever i come in(which is only once every couple of weeks) and makes it feel like a mom-n-pop shop. Also a great place to kick back with your computer and coffee/juice/soda and do a little work. Free wifi and generally pretty quiet in the earlier hours and and afternoon hours. Thanks!

I keep wanting Brueggers to be better than it is. The service isn’t great in this Glover Park location. You’ll get your barely toasted bagel and a spec of cream cheese that you must ration out for consumption. The everything bagel was slightly squished, which only added to the overall dissatisfaction. But when you want a bagel, you want a bagel so we ate them and prayed for a bagel miracle. Well, someone must have heard these sad, sad cries because an Einsteins just opened across the street. Haven’t been yet but am hoping this will make both chains step up their game.

Sometimes, my work is gifted with a box of Bruegger’s Bagels and their coffee box. I’ve tried their Poppy as well as their Plain bagels — both have a slight toasted exterior with a soft chewy dough inside. I’ve also tried their Garden Veggie(it actually has chunks of carrots, scallions, and red peppers throughout) and Plain cream cheese. I’m not much of a fan of their cream cheese spreads as the cream cheese itself isn’t that creamy and it’s more chalky and ‘whipped’ style. +plain bagels

I don’t usually choose a chain over a local bagel spot, but I’d been hearing good things about Bruegger’s, and it’s on my way to work /has a parking lot in back. SO: Things I liked: — No line at 8:15AM — Bagel texture and density were ONPOINT(nice job guys!) — Wide variety of interesting flavors(Like Asiago Parmesan! Try this — it is herb-y and delicious) Things I did not like: — Price point. For a half dozen and a teeeensy cream cheese, my total was nearing the double digit dollar region. Not ideal… I know they have a special on Wednesdays for $ 2 off a half dozen, though, so maybe I will have to just keep my trips to Bruegger’s to Hump Day only. Overall: Bagels get a B/B+ — not bad for a chain!

2.5 stars There’s usually not much of a line when I go… so I can’t attest to how they function during rush hour… however, the bagels here sometimes are very stale. Or sometimes tiny. The amount of cream cheese that is spread is quite minimal…(I was a bit surprised at first but attributed it to just a one-time occurrence, but the second and third time this happened, I figured it wasn’t just an incident…). Parts of the little shop aren’t kept too clean/organized. I haven’t had an issue with the service of the staff, however, they seem friendly enough. There’s a couple of parking spots in the back … On the bright side, the jalopeno cream cheese is delicious! So if you must come here, give that a try!

Wow, this place is disgusting. Dropped by to pick up two bagels yesterday, encountered the following issues: 1) They had run out of almost 1⁄3 of the original bagel selection. 2) The girl making my order seemed to have no idea what she was doing. She messed up my order twice and took her sweet time doing so. 3) The breakfast bagels(with sausage, egg, cheese), looked so disgusting. The greasy pots holding the sausages were in clear view, and when one employee was asked to heat up the cheese so it’d be melted, she stuck it in the grease pit for thirty seconds, letting it swim in there. So gross. 4) When I finally ate my bagel, it tasted toasted in the sense that it was a little crispy, but it was completely hard and cold. I was thoroughly disappointed by the customer service and the quality of the bagels and cream cheese here.

My review is based purely on the bagels, and nostalgia may have made me a more biased reviewer, but really– the bagels and cream cheese here are the . I alternate between a handful of combos. The blueberry bagels are great on their own if you don’t want to pay for cream cheese as are the cinnamon sugar ones. Both are amazing with plain cream cheese(and the cream cheese here has a thick yet fluffy consistency), and the plain ones are good with strawberry cream cheese. When you get them fresh, the bagels have a slightly tougher exterior(I personally find it enjoyably chewy; if you like munching on peach skin, you’ll enjoy this experience), and the insides are ridiculously delicious and chewy. As you can tell, I don’t get terribly fancy with my bagels. I did used to order the BLTs on plain bagels every now and again, but it’s not really worth the price tag. As a kid, whenever someone had a birthday, the parents would bring dozens of bagels to swim practice for us to gorge on afterwards. Nearly a decade later, Bruegger’s still makes me incredibly happy– possibly more so than it ought to!
