They have not been in the Dupont market for a couple years. Anyone know if they still have a outpost anywhere?

Jimmy and Paige Hogge run Buster’s Seafood– a seafood outpost in the Dupont Market. The business is primarily run out of Urbanna, VA, but the Hogges supply seafood to local restaurants, as well as sell at greater DC area farmer’s markets. They may not be the warmest, fuzziest duo, but the seafood they sell is incredibly fresh. Don’t feel skittish about buying seafood at a Farmer’s Market– keep in mind that most restaurant purveyors buy their fish from fish markets. I’d be wearier about fish at a supermarket. I’ve tried their steamed Maryland Blue Crabs and they were WONDERFUL. I got them with«seasoning:» a saltier version of Old Bay that was –frankly– addictive and perfect. Only after going to Cantler’s, which is considered one of the best places to eat Blue Crabs in MD, did I realize how amazing Buster’s seasoning really is. It hasn’t been topped. The specialty of Buster’s is their wide range of knowledge. If you can put up with the no nonsense attitude, you’ll learn a lot about how to best eat their fish. And you’d do well to listen– they sure know their stuff!
