No plants, just nutrients and gear for your hydroponic growing needs. The entrance is pretty impossible to find, so hopefully this helps: If you find yourself facing the storefront of 821 Upshur(which is a bar/restaurant), take a left and look for the first alley on your right. Turn right into that alley and then you’ll see another alley immediately to your left. Turn down the second alley and walk through a gravel parking lot. From the parking lot you’ll see signs for Capital City Hydroponics leading you toward a door. Go in and then downstairs into the basement, where you’ll finally find it!

This is definitely the place to go in DC if you need anything for an indoor garden. Heck, it’s a great place to go for an outdoor garden too. I come here at least once a week and they always have the things I need. Chris is super helpful and he’s the man to go to if you have questions about organic hydroponic gardening. The shop is in the alley behind Upshur and there is a parking lot back there as well.

This outfit is super knowledgable and friendly. If you’re looking to build a quality indoor grow operation, this crew has the know-how and low pressure advice to make things happen.

Chris and Don were super helpful getting me set up with everything I needed to get going on my new garden. The place is a little hard to find, but they are well stocked and extremely knowledgeable. They spent a lot of time with me and demonstrated great customer service.

So much for supporting a local establishment. What they lack in supplies they make up for with horrendous customer service and a sketchy, dirty, dungeon location in the back of an alley. Take your mace with you if you do decide to go alone. I went in for items listed on their website, and they clearly carry the«hydrofarm» brand as it states in bold letters on the site right? WRONG. Apparently its offensive to ask why a brand listed on their site isn’t carried in the store. and to say that I don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars for something that only costs 70 on Amazon. It wouldn’t have been THAT big of a deal if I hadn’t called first to verify and then drove over an hour to get there only to be told that they didn’t have it… Shady. It also wouldn’t have been THAT big of a deal if they weren’t so rude… fyi people, saying rude things passive aggressively don’t make them any less rude. I hear there are 2 other hydroponic shops in DC and 1 in Springfield, save yourself the trouble and try one of those places(or just go to Amazon like I did)

I love this place! The products and prices are outstanding. I used to get all my products online but now I go pick them up my self. The staff really knows their business and are super friendly. Highly recommend this place!
