Loved the spicy bugolgi beef bowl at $ 9.00 they give you lots of beef and the rice is soft, spicy and saucy! So to recap: good portion, genuinely spicy, lots of pickled sides

I was thoroughly impressed and it’s now my favorite truck for bibimbap. I was able to order half mild and spicy beef and I was happy because the spicy was very spicy. They ask if you want a sunny side egg which is included but be warned the egg is still very runny(even the whites) and will usually cook with the heat of the rice so make sure you thoroughly mix it as soon as you can. The portions are generous and the vegetables were fresh and the kimchi spicy. It’s so delicious, favorable, and comforting.

The food on this truck is outstanding, the portions huge, and the staff super friendly. I ordered the spicy chicken bibimbap, and it was absolutely outstanding. I expected to need to add more hot sauce, but they have just the right amount of spice to make your mouth tingle. Extra meat is an option for $ 2, which I like. Next time they’re at Metro Center– this is a new favorite.

So this was my first Korean BBQ experience even though I’ve been meaning to try out Honey Pig(will get there soon) Can you say delicious?!? I got the bibimbap with spicy pork. I love spicy food and this definitely delivered! The portion size for me really consist of two meals versus one. LOTS of veggies which is a major plus. The woman who took my order was so nice and their«winter special» includes a free ginger tea! It was equally delicious. I’ll be looking for Cathy’s bistro next Wednesday again.

So far this is my favorite bimimbap from a truck.

I really liked my first order from Cathy’s, and not just because it came with free ginger tea. The Korean(ish)-style tacos were among the best I’ve had from food trucks in DC — a good quantity and balance of the pickled veggies and sauce, plenty of chicken, only $ 7(including tax) for two. I hope to see them at Franklin Square again soon.

My co-workers and I agree — a solid three stars. Wouldn’t be our first food truck choice, but wouldn’t avoid it if it was there. I visited Cathy’s Bistro this past Wednesday and got the beef bulgogi combo — regular and spicy. The texture of the bulgogi was good — it was sweet and juicy, not dry at all. I have a sweet tooth, and it was actually a little too sweet for my taste. It was probably good though, because in contrast, the spicy bulgogi was spicier than I was expecting! I was happy to have ordered the cucumber salad on the side because I needed a cool-off cucumber bite every few spicy bites. They also provide plenty of food between the rice, the meat, and choice of two sides. It’s a plentiful portion and you’ll find yourself satisfied after.

OK spicy bulgogi for a food truck. I still think they are little over price, but comparing the option in the area. They are OK with quick service. I found similar truck at NYC are much much better and less $$.

I liked the egg in the bibimbop, but that’s about it. The chicken was a little salty, and the cucumbers were way too salty– like they had been sitting in salt water. The beans were water logged, and the carrots were thinly sliced and tasted like sugar was added. In total, whole meal was a little gross, and unlike other reviewers, I did NOT get a lot of veggies– it was mostly rice. I thought I was going to get a delicious veggie-filled meal based on other reviews, but that just wasn’t the case. Fair warning for those expecting high quality(like Cirque or Basil Thyme) — it’s not anywhere near the level of the best trucks. I ended up throwing most of it away– very disappointed.

I got bi bim bop with a mix of spicy and mild beef. It came with a fried egg that was still runny in the middle — yum! Very delicious and highly recommended.

For food truck this is that grandma cooking in the kitchen taste. Lots of vegetables, huge beef slices. My co-worker tried the chicken teriyaki as well and he loved it. Not too many Korean food options in DC so this was heaven sent!!!

I bought something which was called chicken teriyaki. It looked and tested so bad, I only was able to eat a few spoons, even I was very hungry… Never again

This was an acceptable Korean food fix, and would have netted four stars if the Korean food via wheeled vehicle weren’t so crowded in the area. Everything was perfectly acceptable, service was nice enough, albeit slow; it failed to deliver anything exceptional. I’d recommend this truck if there isn’t another Korean cart nearby. For those of us near Franklin Park, it’s best to head down K and hit up the cart in front of Lima — better flavor, more options, nicer people. Bonus, no park people.

Whoa — this may give the Ficelle truck a run for its money as my favorite food truck in DC. Fresh pan-chan, expertly marinaded/cooked cuts of beef(this isn’t the shriveled bulgolgi here) and friendly service — all for 10 bucks? Sign me up, please. I am still munching away at my mixed bowl(beef, mild) and am excitedly awaiting the next time Cathy decides to come through my area. Think: Annandale quality, but a heckuva lot more convenient.

Went to this food truck when it was near L’Enfant for lunch. I got the bibimbap with spicy beef. Pretty solid meal and was not disappointed!
