We’re out of towners, ordered from a hotel late on a Sunday night. Delivery was fast, food was okay especially that we were starving! I ordered cashew chicken which had a great flavor but over half of it was celery — great if you’re a celery lover(unfortunately, I am not!) Rangoons were good and sweet and sour chicken was too. It was worth wanting to stay in and let someone else do the cooking.

Had the Orange Beef and 3 pieces of fried chicken wings. The orange beef was bland, very soggy/spongy, and you can barely taste the beef. It is mostly breaded, with cheap beef(as expected). The chicken wings were okay, nothing special or noticeable from any other Chinese carry out.

My coworkers and I have ordered from China Hut for over a year now and I still don’t have any complaints about the food or the service. So far we have ordered the lomein, egg foo young, beef BBQ, shrimp/chicken brocoli, curry chicken, wonton soup, spring rolls, steak and onions etc .no compalints. The guy that takes the orders over the phone is very pleasant. Our favorite spot.

Usually any fried food ordered from a Chinese restaurant is a no brainer. Right? Even if it’s bad, it’s still pretty good. I can’t say that was the case when I ordered some sinful, grease-doused food for delivery from China Hut. The only real reason I ordered from here in the first place is because a menu has been slid under my door from them that day. I was tired, hungry, without groceries and was hankering for something that I could indulge in without remorse. I ordered a small Philly Cheese Steak meal special that came with crinkle cut fries and a beverage for $ 5.65. Because minimum delivery charge is $ 10, I also ordered the Crab Rangoon as an appetizer to put me over. The food came fairly quickly — within the 30 minute window. Unfortunately, the food did not deliver. The Philly Cheese Steak pretty weak and the bread was totally soggy. I didn’t really enjoy the bland meat within the sub either, so I ended up just picking at it. The fries were okay, but they really didn’t have any flavor either. After just nibbling on the meal I gave the Crab Rangoon a shot since the meal clearly wasn’t going to satisfy me in anyway. The fried wonton outside was dry and flavorless and the cream cheese and crab inside was also pretty bland. I could barely taste anything remotely resembling crab. Additionally, they never asked me what kind of drink I wanted so they just threw in an iced tea. I was okay with that, but they really should have asked. Overall, the only thing going for this place in regard to Americana cuisine is that it’s cheap. Unfortunately, it’s still not really worth the money.

Unsung hero of the underage drinker. They used to happily peddle malt liquor pisswater to me and my cohorts back in the day. The fried chicken and shrimp fried rice combo slathered in mumbo sauce could appease the Gods.
