I am afraid this studio is too small and its schedule too limited to accommodate the demand. Many yogis, including myself, routinely get turned away because classes reach capacity very quickly. The staff informed me that many people start arriving an hour before classes start and that classes regularly reach capacity 20 – 30 minutes before they begin. One instructor told me that there is no option to reserve a spot either. My professional schedule does not allow me the luxury of reliably arriving so early, so I am afraid that my unlimited three-month pass will likely be wasted except on rare occasions and some weekends. I should also note that the one time I did attend a class, we were practically mat-to-mat, and I even got kicked in the face by a yogi that was less than aware of her surroundings. I guess requiring early arrival makes sense with how packed the studio and locker rooms become — I waited in a line that extended up the steps to the second level to sign in and had to open over a dozen lockers to find one empty locker. In short, it seems like a fine-to-average studio if you don’t mind the crowd and arriving at least 30 minutes before class. If you are looking for heated power/vinyasa classes that allow you to reserve a spot ahead of time(with no cancellation penalty), I would consider checking out Studio DC, which has locations in Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan.

The studio is spanking new, the instructors are great, and there are tons of classes. Just like the sister locations scattered throughout washington metro, it’s got a very cookie cutter feel and strong branding. The chain delivers on consistency and quality of classes. However, if im a monthly passholder, i would not like to see the exact same schedule every day. I prefer variety to my workouts and though no two classes are exactly alike and they rotate the instructors, I don’t want to be limited to yoga 2 day in and day out if I can only work out at 6pm. This studio still needs to work out some kinks especially with overbooking for popular class times. On the plus side though is the lack of cancellation fees. For first time visitors, I recommend coming in at least 20 minutes early to sign up especially for the peak evening class times.
