I came across Deco when searching for a new countertop vendor. I then learned the store sold carpets, too, which i needed. I had the owner, come to my house and measure for carpets I was interested in. When I asked her to present pricing she was very aggressive, asking for a 50% deposit from an estimate handwritten on a piece of paper, with no details. When my designer and I asked her for more details, she became frustrated and responded very curtly, as if to mock our request. Ultimately, after several days trying to politely communicate, I told her I didn’t think our working styles were a fit. Instead of responding professionally, the owner berated me with personal insults and ended the conversation by calling me «classless». Perhaps she thought I would reward her mean attitude and lack of professionalism with my business — I won’t, and neither should you.

I came upon Deco Home Design by pure happenstance and I’m very glad I did. I had been thinking of some changes to my condo apartment, beginning with an area rug, and I found a lovely Persian rug there — something I never thought of but it has made a big impact in my main room. Interior Designer Fazi Kowkabi has also been very helpful to me as I bounced ideas off her and she provided me good advice, which I sorely needed as I had made some poor decisions in recent years that ended up costing more than I expected. The reupholstery she suggested for two chairs and banquet cushion seating is gorgeous and works so well with existing window treatments and dinette chair covers. She observed my overall design ideas/preferences present in my apartment and listens to my concerns, and I appreciate that. So, my «accidental» visit to Deco Home Design has helped me finalize some changes in my home and, since I still have a few issues to resolve, I will continue to be in touch with them.
