Let us sum up this sad excuse for a doughnut shop: A poor selection of doughnuts… at 8:00-FREAKIN’-AM in the morning; almost 10 minutes to get to the one cashier at the only register open at…8:00-FREAKIN’-AM in the morning; another 5 minutes for them to pour a cup of their dismal brown coffee-flavored water. In short… go somewhere else… anywhere else.

For a Dunkin’ Donuts, this place is spacious and clean. It is new and sparkly for now. The menu is standard, so no surprises here. This is one of the locations that is open later because maybe the location keeps it hopping? Whatever the reason, when I have been here it has never been crazy busy, but the service seems to be slow. I see the staff moving, but for some reason it just takes longer than I would hope… That’s usually what I expect at a Dunkin’ Donuts, but maybe I am just that impatient when I am here!

This store needs some love! I am sorry Kera had a bad experience, but it seems like the store was just getting onto it’s feet and has since worked out a lot of the kinks. i stopped in on a Friday morning and had a great experience. There was no line, and the staff was chipper and quick to take my order. Hoorah! My food and drink were served promptly, there were no errors with my order, and everything was delicious! Yes, this is a chain in a *hip* neighborhood — but they bring consistent service and quality as well as FREEWIFI(which was apparently not the case before). How can you complain about that? Just close your eyes and pretend you are in Boston, not on Georgia Avenue, and it all feels a little more right.

A few observations as I sit here using my data munching on a dry, stale donut(a sin in my carbohydrate fueled religion): –there’s no wifi, how does this store hope to compete with the cozy, high quality neighborhood coffee shops? It’s 2015. –staff isn’t very friendly or knowledgeable(what’s the address here?-*blank stare*) –the first donut I ordered, a vanilla crème, was so hard n crunchy I literally had to ask to exchange it, which the cashier did with no problems –the replacement donut, a vanilla iced, was just as terrible in terms of flavor and freshness. I just gave up though because clearly they’ve given up on donuts to focus on cheap coffee –the store is beautiful, shiny and new but I observed a baby roach. I understand we’re in the city and I’m not deluded or squeamish but come on, you just opened? Hopefully it was carried in by a guest. I won’t be back, there’s just too many other options around for fresh goods.
