The hospital is clean and the staff is friendly. Been here many times to visit family members and every time they were treated with respect and were very professional. You do have to pay to park.

Do not go to Georgetown’s Medical Center if your illness will require palliative care. I repeat DONOT go here. Seek thoughtful, attentive, sensitive doctors elsewhere. Have downloaded the complaint form for DC’s medical society and will file shortly, but wanted to save others a lot of wasted time. GOELSEWHERE.

I got really frustrated when the doc office left me and my mother’s phone tons of msg to confirm med insurance. Then when you show, you realize in all the phone calls and messages they leave, they never ONCE told me where their office actually was. You need to know what building the doctors is located because there are actually quite a few. Get the room number.

The Medical Center includes the schools & research aspects of the medical community at Georgetown University. Whether you’re here as a visitor, as a patient or as a student, the first few trips out here can be confusing. Navigating this place is like going through a maze. All of the buildings are connected by underground tunnels(it’s easy to get lost in these tunnels!) and the way the floors are numbered between buildings can be confusing! But depending on what you’re here for, you can find some peaceful space out on the medical center patio … on warmer days, bring you lunch and sit here to eat. Despite navigation/parking woes, there is much going on here with research and patient care and from the patio, you get a view of the soccer fields and some parts of Georgetown that are further down the hill.
