The food was really good. Downside to this place is the line. There aren’t many options around here and this place was slammed

Very clean, everyone is kind — lots to choose from, and for a lunch deli with reasonable prices — this is the place to come! I got the battered fish, and it was EXCELLENT! The bread was fantastic, lettuce shreadded, fish cooked well — over all A+ for a casual, fast lunch spot. Thank you.

(07/18/2013) Convenient weigh place in the East lobby of the NASA headquarters building. Pretty pricey(over $ 7/lb.), large selection of Asian and comfort foods, even some decent, fresh, large sushi pieces(go for the lox and cream cheese with carrot and cucumber!). Vegetables are al dente crisp(sometime almost raw), but hold up well on the steam tables. Fried foods suffer the most(wan, limp, almost cold). Best bets are Asian and salad bar. Too hot today for soups(middle of a freak heat wave on the Eastern seaboard).

The Grand Café is a good place to go if you want something different for lunch. It is located inside the NASA building, so it can be easy to miss. Today I decided to go to the part where you weigh your food. The food was actually pretty good. Better than the other café’s around, but a bit more expensive though. You can easily spend $ 10 even with just a salad. They have a variety of different types of meat, salads, and carb options. The bar is not that big, but they do try to mix it up. I usually take my lunch back to my desk, but I wouldn’t mind eating there because the dining area looks nice. I would definitely go back in the future.

I been a couple times and the first time I ordered a Mediterranean wrap with fries… soooo good! Then I tried their Greek salad which was really good too! You can pay with credit card.

This was my first visit and I’ll go back. It’s nice to have a place close to the office! The service was fast and efficient. My ham, egg, cheese, whole wheat sandwich was piping hot! It was a tad salty, but most would probably not notice this. The ham was thin, deli slices and the egg was actually a fried whole egg, not the microwaved processed mixture served at similar establishments. The price was under $ 3.50. I did pay cash, so I can’t comment on the other reviewer’s complaint that they don’t take credit cards. I also did not require a bag, but it’s my understanding that the nickel bag charge is added on as a separate charge everywhere else — grocery stores, CVS, etc. For the price, speed of service, quality of food — this place was excellent on my first visit.

This is one of those one and done places for me. Sometimes a series of events just makes me say«I’m never going here again» and this is one of those places. 1. CASHONLY. Come on owner, get with the program. Its 2010 and nobody carries cash anymore. 2. If CASHONLY, then remove the f*&*ing $ 2 fee from the ATM in your store. And don’t tell me that you have no control over the ATM. As if I’m that stupid to know you are not getting a cut. 3. If you are going to take the stupid new DC law seriously and charge me 5 cents for a paper bag, then just add it to the overall price. 4. How about making a sandwich that actually fills me up? After eating my sandwich, I had to find a granola bar to stop my stomach from growling. WTF? Overall this place sucks.

Not a bad salad bar for a quick lunch. If you go after 2 p.m. you get a discount.
