We stopped in for drinks only on a very hot afternoon and were very pleasantly surprised! House wine quite good, with a generous pour for a small price during happy hour. And it came with the most amazing crab puff appetizer — free! Will definitely be going there again soon for dinner.

The restaurant was very inviting. From the greeting at the front door to the staff trying to teach me how to use chop sticks. The food was nice and fresh and the portions were plentiful. They have a happy hour special when you buy one drink you get a free appetizer — needless to say I took advantage of the angel wontons. I am happy to say that this is my new favorite Thai restaurant

Phenomenal. Honestly, really really really good. The service was great, the food was perfect. So flavorful and the textures were good. The crispy chicken was sooo good. I kept sampling my husband’s lol I got the red curry with chicken and it was so good. The sauce was the perfect consistency! I’ve been places were everything is watery and terrible — not here! The menu seems small/limited, but it’s the way they have it laid out. My only regret is having to leave behind almost all of the sauce from the curry because I was taking it in a plane. Sooo good. Don’t hesitate, give it a try.

I had the Pad Thai with chicken from here and it was absolutely amazing!!! I enjoyed it. The portion was great and what I couldn’t finish I warmed up in their awesome take out bowl and it was still just as good! I’ll definitely be back to try their panang curry.

I ordered takeout from here the other night and it was fabulous. The food was done quickly and really hit the spot. We got an order of pad see-u and drunken noodles, both with chicken. I ordered the pad see-u with a little spice and the drunken noodles regular. If you don’t love a lot of heat(like my fiancé) I would recommend telling them to take the spice down a notch on the drunken noodles. Great flavor, but can really get ya! The pad see-u had the perfect level of spice and I would actually say was an all around better dish. I will definitely order takeout from here again, as it is the closest Thai food to my apartment. The reason for the 3 stars? We walked in to sit down to a meal a little while ago around 3PM on a weekend. There was one other party dining and we asked to sit at a booth. We were actually told we could not sit at a booth because they wanted to accommodate a larger party IF they happened to come in. WHAT? I was really put off by that. Mostly because this place isn’t like, a hole in the wall. There was ample seating. Secondly, the tables with chairs sat 4, just as a booth did. I don’t know, but it made me feel weird. We ordered and ate and left and not a single soul walked through that door during that time. Not too surprising, considering it wasn’t even dinnertime yet. Anyways, I got over it, obviously.

The food is very good — Thai as we know it. The service was fantastic — waiter made good suggestions. Very surprised at the good Chardonnay.

Ordered from here via grubhub, which I appreciated was connected through their website. Two very standard orders: Green Curry with chicken and Pad Thai with chicken. It was fine. I had the green curry — as you would expect, although the eggplant was a little undercooked. The sauce could have used some kick to it, and was a little thin. I will stick with Beau Thai. The containers didn’t leak. Prices and portion sizes were around normal. Pad Thai on the bigger size, while Green Curry on the slightly smaller side.

Visiting from Philly, and this was my first stop. Came for lunch and had the Pad See-U. It was delicious. Loved the Thai Tea. The restaurant was welcoming and beautiful. If you used their hashtag, you received 10% off.

I came in here for dinner on a Sunday night around 9PM, and there were a surprising amount of people in here. It seemed to be a pretty standard casual Thai restaurant – noodle dishes, curries, etc. The food was great. I got drunken noodles with beef, and it had some vegetables like green beans and peppers. The noodles came out hot and spicy. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, including the panang curry and the pad Thai. Service was decently quick, but water refills were slow, which is difficult to forgive when the food is this spicy!

I think this might be the best casual Thai food I’ve had in DC. I’ve never actually eaten in the restaurant, but this is my go to carry out place in the area. Not to be that white lady who thinks she’s an expert on Thai food because I spent a month there, but … this is legitimately on the same level as the food you get in central Thailand. The papaya salad is that perfect blend of fresh, bright, and spicy. The green curry is delicious – really deeply flavored and a wonderful texture. And the Pad Thai is the perfect kind of comfort food. Plus, their carry out is always ready when it’s supposed to be, and it’s fresh and packaged well. A+ Thai food in the neighborhood.

My girlfriend and I had dinner here on 03÷31÷16. The restaurant is easy to find, cozy, and had just the right ambience. The music wasn’t too loud, the service was friendly and attentive, and best of all the food was VERYGOOD. Unilocalers highly rated this place. That’s why we went. You were right! Some appetizers and beer and wine are on happy hour before 7:30 pm at a reduced rate, so arrive early. We ordered the Chicken Wings($ 5.00) Dee-Lish! Not overly cooked, as some are. Perfect! We ordered two cocktails which are not on happy hour. Lycheetini($ 8.00) and another fruity drink($ 9.00). Both were delicious. Since this was our first time to visit, we ordered a variety of dishes. 1) Tom Yum Soup w shrimp. Very good! Possibly the best I’ve had at a restaurant.($ 7.95). Roasted duck curry. Good, but not great. Duck could have been more tender. Sauce was wonderful($ 18.95). Chefs secret fried rice($ 15.95). Again, very good. Loaded with big jumbo shrimp. I’m not talking the small«jumbo» shrimp. Lol. Total bill: $ 70.23 without tip. Overall we were very pleased and will return.

We ordered for the first time tonight– excellent! The vegetables were prepared just right– not over-cooked and limp like vegetables sent via delivery too often are. The ginger was sharp, chili with a kick and the rice correctly sticky. We will order again(and visit in person)!

Small place with very nice if slightly slow staff. The food, however, was extremely meh. My duck curry wasn’t super flavorful and the duck was completely overlooked and tough to chew. Because the first floor is so small, if you’re at one of the slightly awkward tables that face the door you’ll have a constant draft.

So I have been waiting for a few weeks for Imm Thai to generate more reviews before sharing my sad 2-star review. While I have not been to the physical location, I did get its seafood pad thai and duck rolls delivered. I wish I could say that I loved both dishes, but the duck rolls were just ok with nothing to rave about. I wanted something sticky and thick-sauce based in the duck rolls, but the sauces were just one continuous sour flavor and so overwhelming that I couldn’t taste the duck much. The sour taste continued in the seafood pad thai and the noodles were a minute overdone. The reason why I am choosing two sad little stars is because the majority of the mussel shells were broken into pieces. So I spent considerable time picking out the the broken pieces of the shells from my noodles, which is not only annoying but also dangerous! In fact, the shells were so broken into pieces that I couldn’t pick them all out and had to throw out half of the noodles. I am quite sad about the presentation, especially because I was so excited for this new Thai place to open up on H Street. I hope the staff works to improve the problem.

It’s good to see a solid 4-star Thai restaurant pop up on H Street. It has plenty of seating and two floors. The staff are very attentive(but not over bearing) and friendly. The Thai iced tea is good and comes in a cool, hipster milk bottle. I ordered the green curry with chicken and it comes with a sizeable pyramid(literally) of white rice. My wife ordered the drunken noodles and loved it! Imm Thai is officially closer to us than Sanphan Thai in Eastern Market, so we’ll be back to Imm Thai for sure.

Love this place! My wife and I were super excited when this place finally opened up. The first time we were here, they didn’t have their license to serve alcohol. That didn’t hinder us from ordering take out. The second time we came in, we dined in. We ordered the crab wonton, duck appetizer, and seafood drunken noodle. The crab wonton was probably the best we’ve ever had. The duck was too cooked for my wife’s liking but I loved it. The drunken noodle was delicious. My wife wasn’t hungry but she wanted to order more. It was amazing. There were only two servers, but they were both very lovely. People were coming in and out. The layout is a bit weird and seems small, but it’s not too bad. I can’t wait to see how the upstairs look.

I’m stuffed! Well, my friendly server said that’s what«imm» means in Thai. Great little new place on H Street, a dozen tables on the ground floor and a bar under construction upstairs. Very good food at decent prices, full bar and very fast service. Huge takeout biz too! Started with som tom for $ 7, great fresh veg crunch in the green papaya and tomatoes, good sauce but it didn’t deliver on a promise of spice. Continued with a Pad Thai for $ 13, which(I newly learned) is always in a complex sweet-sour sauce, never spicy. You can easily add heat from the jar of dried pepper on the table, and of course I did that :). Vegetarian rating: solid 3 stars for the som tum(green papaya) salad, tofu & mixed vegetable options on the kapow and pad Thai, the spicy eggplant entrée, and also bcos the menu promises«many items can be made veg upon request.» All out of mango when I visited so no sticky rice for dessert, argh.
