Leanne J. Lipton, DVM, CVA, CVSMT

I cannot adequately describe how grateful I am to Dr. Lipton for her expertise, professionalism and care of my pets. I contacted her about two years ago when the health of my cats started taking a turn for the worse. (There’s a long list of what they have been diagnosed with…). She is extremely thorough and covers everything from previous veterinary care to food, water and environment. I strongly believe that both my cats have had added good-​quality years to their lives under her treatment and counsel and that any future kittens or puppies I may have will also benefit from what I have already learned from Dr. Lipton.
Perhaps most valuable has been my education of what constitutes good veterinary care. I had previously taken any diagnosis or suggestion from vets at face value. By going through my pets’ veterinary history and seeing the inconsistencies or potential misdiagnoses, I’ve learned to ask better questions of specialists or ER vets and am a much better advocate for my cats and their health. That never would have happened without Dr. Lipton. It never even occurred to me although I’ve been a health advocate for an ailing parent and also go to a functional doctor, who took me through the same process as Dr. Lipton performed for my cats.
Finally, I find Dr. Lipton extremely caring. One of my cats recently received a diagnosis that probably puts him in his last year of life. Dr. Lipton has been very supportive of and sensitive to the goals of changing his care to that of hospice/​quality of life. I know she will be there until the end.

Couldn’t disagree more with these prior comments. If you’re referred to Dr Lipton for any veterinary care, grab your pet and run in the opposite direction. She’s demeaning, curt, emotionless and, worst, she’s critical of other veterinarians’ care, which, in my opinion, is most unprofessional. Would recommend avoiding at all costs.

I had an appointment to put my 16 year old dog down, and in the nick of time I found Dr. Lipton! With acupuncture, vitamins, and healthy food my dog lived NINE more months.

I am so glad that I took the plunge into holistic veterinary and called Dr. Lipton. Thanks to her, I avoided giving my dog unnecessary doses of Benadryl. Dr. Lipton says that she is in a behavioralist, but she (correctly) made the call that my dog was not suffering from allergies, but rather from lack of activity and interactivity with other dogs (shame on me). Dr. Lipton also talked about the newer dehydrated raw foods and adding greater variety to my dog’s diet. I think that these changes have resulted in a happier, healthier dog, and since our appointment with Dr. Lipton almost two months ago, my dog is doing much better in many ways, due to the insights I got which I never would have received from tradtional veterinary (which we still rely upon for certain needs). I heartily recommend Dr. Lipton!

Want to give your pet the greatest gift ever? Take him/​her to see Dr. Lipton who is the MOST knowledgeable person I’ve met with regards to veterinary medicine, animal health, care, and nutrition. The amazing thing about Dr. Lipton is that she combines a veterinary science background with homeopathic therapy to treat your pet without using drugs and invasive procedures (I myself prefer those methods as a last resort). But the nutritional info she provides is reason enough to see her. We changed our dog’s diet after a visit with Dr. L and our dog has never been healthier or happier. Sure she’s a bit pricey, but your pet is worth it.

What can I say? Skeptics of holistic vet care should step right up and give it a try. Dr. Leanne Lipton is not only an excellent vet but a great educator that teaches you how to keep the healing going once she leaves (HOME VISITS! Woohooo!). My lovely aging dog has fairly severe rear leg stiffness, arthritis and she is a picky eater. After a few sessions with Dr. Lipton she is mobile, wiggly and working with Leanne we found some great food that she will eat. Thanks to Dr. Lipton, Fridha will enjoy the slower senior years without pain (acupuncture!). Give it a try — your pet will be glad you did!

Dr. Lipton is peerless. This became evident as I witnessed her treatment of a seriously ill dog beloved by two close friends, and the subsequent profound improvement in their pet’s health. Beyond being a gifted practitioner of integrative veterinary medicine, to include acupuncture, homeopathy and nutrition, her heart is wholly invested in the care she provides. I am utterly won over by Dr. Lipton’s compassion and skill.
